Disgusting platform! I don't know why all Colleges in the US are forcing all students to take Cengage's courses. It's horrible! Their system doesn't work, it has a lot of issues.

Even reading a textbook is a hassle. If you need to search a term it doesn't go to anything useful- just goes to the start of the chapter. NO I don't care about "taking notes" with your difficult format. The summaries at the end of the chapters are NOT useful at all in terms of the ridiculous assignments or purposefully misleading tests and quizzes. On that note, the tests that are obviously written by Cengage do not go over a lot of the core concepts taught in the textbook- it's often very small details. The "Aplia Assignments" are also really not helpful in my opinion. Again, they don't really go over the biggest concepts that are important to the subject. There are also so many misspelled words and incorrect grammar in assignment feedback so I'm assuming they're using generative AI for the writing "feedback" on assignments. The case assignments are also pretty bad. Purposefully misleading questions.

I absolutely despise all of their courses that involve Microsoft Access, Excel, etc. There might be several ways to accomplish a task through different menus, but if you don't do THEIR way, you get a fail. Also, the automated grading is awful and I always have to have my teachers correct it. I hate it so much I don't even feel like listing the rest of my reasons because everyone else already has. It's just awful.

If i could give this 0 stars I would, absolutely horrible website. Why do professors use such a faulty website its absolutely outrageous how littlevthe accessibility is. Ive been on this loading content screen for thirty minutes. Take this site down who tf is paying these workers for such garbage work.

NEVER use this garbage website. I rented a book and there was MULTIPLE instances where the book would not show up in my purchases and it said to "try again later". How am I supposed to try again later when my midterm paper is coming up? Should I tell my professor, 'sorry couldn't write it the textbook rental told me to try again later?' THIS HAPPENED DURING AN EXAM TOO!! THIS SITE SUCKS DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

Just terrible think twice before you decide to collaborate with GITHUB. JESUS THESE SQL HAVE BEEN HORRENDOUS ITS NON_FUNCTIONAL IM SO INVESTED TO GET A 0 IN ALL OF THOSE SQL BASICS,MATH SQL etc and just pass my modules because that soooo bad that you make student go through this because you want to cut corners get a better code editor nothing works

Awful just flat out awful. If you're on word courses or excel courses, you better pray that you don't accidentally right click something because it will just tell you that you got the answer wrong even if you didn't attempt to solve it.

For some reason, it downright refuses to tell you the right answer when you get a problem completely wrong. Mind you I cannot retattempt these problems and once they are wrong I don't get another similar one. It is quite possibly the worst experience you can have as a math student and it will leave you utterly confused with no direction after using this application to do homework you will know less than before.

Lets add my terrible experience. What is that? Who made that non functional website?

The reviews speak for themselves. This is the worst experience you will have as a student. If you can, avoid them, but whatever you do, don't spend your money with them.

This software is absolutely horrible!! I can't even do my lessons; It's constantly saying error. They need to fix it or just close down. I will never use Cengage again. Once I complete my lessons. Totally disappointed!!!

Seriously annoying. The enlarged view option in the text is TERRIBLE. Why can’t you just enlarge the caption to the whole page instead of making it half the page where you can’t even see all of the text, or just make it viewable on the page without having to click into it. And it really sucks that it doesn’t actually book mark anything.

Terrible UI and incredibly buggy. I am genuinely under the belief that they have to have some kind of contract with colleges across the country that require them to use Cengage because I have no other idea on why anyone would continue to support and implement Cengage into their courses. An absolute trainwreck and nothing but headaches for the student and teachers alike. I went out of my way to make an account on this website just to give this company a one star...IT'S THAT BAD.

your website is terrible. let me just look at the book and search through it, yknow, like an online book should be able to do.

This company's learning material is absolutely useless. Loads of errors in the systems, a cumbersome e book that is difficult to navigate and very restrictive software. Not to mention the fact that the e book is of a very poor standard. Schools should stop using this publisher. They make a student's life hell

This is the most ueseless app on earth. Aside from labs lagging, the worst thing about it is when you complete labs and they dont record so you have to do them again. An absolute piece of trash this app is. I put so much work into my assignments just to have to redo them cause they dont record my mark

Taking a MySQL course and the professor told us we had to purchase Cengage. Needless to say they are terrible. You pay $150 to rent an ebook, then get crappy lessons that don't help you in the least. Cengage in their infinite wisdom decided it would be good to set up codespaces in Github to make the process even more complicated. It amazes me that with all these bad reviews and honest feedback that they're still in business. I truly hope Cengage goes out of business, they are awful.

The textbook does not explain ANYTHING clearly. Cengage is the worst garbage there is. It is an insult to the educational system

After accidentally purchasing the wrong book, I tried to refund it through my dashboard – which I wasn't even able to do. I opened a case regarding the refund, but I ended up being referred by the wrong name, and they asked me "what my problem was", even though I had explained it in detail already. After opening a second case, I got told the refund and credit had been processed and that I would have to wait 5-7 work days. After waiting for more than 7 work days they failed to send me the money back. I ended up opening my third case where I got the answer that they looked through their system and saw that the credit and refund had been issued on February 13th, and that they would send an email to the control team.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, one star is the minimum. Do not take this with a grain of salt, their customer service is ass and I would advice staying away from this company if you can. I have no clue whether or not I will actually receive a refund, you'll know if I don't.

EDIT: After closing my third case without receiving my refund, I decided to open my fourth and last case in hopes I would be done with this company and finally getting my money back. 3 days after receiving some responses from them, I finally received a mail from PayPal, stating my money would be send to my account within 3 work days. Even though I ended up receiving the money, I wouldn’t be even tell my worst enemy to purchase from this godforsaken company.

I returned an e-book to cengage and requested a refund. I never got the refund and it has been 3 weeks already... They did say after my 3rd case that they would take care of it, so I'll have to wait on any further information. They should also consider the fact we're students and therefore broke... Very bad customer service, do not recommend
