FIrst trip to Centre Parcs

First trip to Centre Parks (Woburn)as normally too expensive but got a good deal. Took my daughter aged 13 and she loved it. I thought it was ok not amazing but depends what you want from a holiday. Please beware if you value a good nights sleep take your own pillows. They were the worst!

Centreparks Elveden Rubbish Takeways

Centreparks Elveden. We always end our Centreparks stay with a last evening Takeaway and games night. This evening my wife and I ordered Chinese (Thai) sweet and sour chicken. What can I say? I have been eating “Chinese” since the 60s (I’m now 80) and this was the absolutely worst Chinese I have ever experienced in my whole life. We didn’t get the sauce which should have come with the meal, but as we had already waited probably 90 minutes for our delivery, we carried on regardless. I struggled with the chicken and when I complained, my 10 year old Granddaughter asked to try it and declared it was like eating old boots, which I thought was a compliment. Most of it we threw out to the back of the chalet, so if you see any dead roe deer, squirrels, wild birds, etc, you know why. We often eat Tesco’s or M & S Takeway Microwave Chinese Meals, and either of them would knock this into a cocked hat. Very, very, very, disappointed, particularly after having such nice restaurant meals on the Friday and Saturday evenings. Oh! And the crackers didn’t appear either. So disappointed.

Expensive, early closing, no night entertainment

Obviously very expensive to book but then add to this the cost of services and activities, then food and drink £7.50 a pint??
Everywere closes early, 10pm finish on everything, obviously not interested in looking after guests on holiday, basically take the money and get lost attitude, talked to numerous staff, none to happy, corporate run with Accountants, was far better when Oasis, at least had an open pub and entertainment, green room entertainment no longer used. Won't be returning

Whinfell Forest Centre Park Penrith

Whinfell Forest Centre Park Penrith - I contacted the park to enquire whether, as a local resident, we were able to book tickets to use the swimming facilities for the day.
I was told that you had to be a resident there or know people who were staying there to be able to buy a day pass. As we live less than 2 miles away we wouldn't book an over night stay but it seemed strange to me that there are day passes available, just not for anyone local to the park.
Then to my utter amazement the customer services lady I was speaking to (who was very polite), told me that they did allow day entry to local visitors prior to "Covid" but then they stopped it. Message for Centre Parks management - it's now 2024!!
Aside from the fact that locals cannot enjoy the benefit of such a fabulous looking facility it makes no business sense either. I would encourage the Whinfell Forest management team to re-think this policy and adopt some common sense.

Woburn Forest,Bedfordshire

We celebrate my birthday with kids in Woburn. It was lovely experience as forest is so well maintain and lodges are beautiful, cozy, nicely decorated and very clean. Very good paths for cycling, picnics, climbing and the best swimming pool. Loved it and could stay all day in this tropical paradise. Sooo great;] We liked the The Drop Jump and Boat trips. It is truly special place for all families.

Centerparks Longleat

Fantastic staff couldn't ask for more nothing was to much bother! I'm disabled! And the land train transporters conveyed me to many destinations within the park. And anywhere else was just a phone call
to disabled assistance and they arrange pickup for anything else. The hot environment of the swimming pools, jacuzzi and spa just melted my pain. I was helped to enter water with my crutches. The staff were fantastic at pool and spa checking on me and my wellbeing constantly! The accommodation was fantastic warm and welcoming even a real fire place inside. I can't do without warmth my body seizes! Bedding clean and fresh. Full kitchen with dishwasher all working in nearly new condition. Big windows and patio doors great to watch the friendly wildlife we had deer just outside on the patio area. Where we roasted marsh-mallows on the brick built bbq. Large built in TV with very comfortable sofas. And very spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage. I had my family with me to be my carers but because of the huge amount of help from staff and the layout of the park and transport I was able to have my own adventure to!
I just enjoyed being able to take myself out by riding on the land train round the entire park in a oneway loop stopping at all the parks attractions. My favourite thing was the spa we payed for 3hrs of bliss relaxation, de-stressing and relief from pain. Water beds heat rooms wet and dry relaxation snug rooms it had it all. The pottery painting was a blast everything turned out better than we thought we ended up with pottery keep sakes that would make any friends jealous. Both Huks and the famous Pancake House didn't disappoint but in my case Huks was the winner!

Booked for 3 nights upgraded to allow our dogs to come cost a small fortune for 3 nights. Due to go today and found out yesterday we cant have our room until 4pm. Staff very rude in communication told me to use the pool from 10am or sit in the resteraunt. This wasnt clear when booked although staff will say it was on the website. Last time i go to centreparcs rip off company over charge for everything are happy to take lots of your money but will not help or solve iasues. BEWARE BEFORE YOU SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
