Cannot speak English

Chamberlain should stop using foreign call centers who have agents that cannot communicate and no training on how to troubleshoot their garage door openers. Its a total waste of customer time.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

Once you buy their product.... you are stuck with the worst customer service

I was kept on the phone for over one hour...,., ordering only one part
4 different agents.... who barely spoke English

Agents names

Ruth: Horrible spoke tittle english and left me on hold when I asked for her supervisor
Luis Took order: said it would be shipped and I would receive it next day. It arreived 3 days later
Daniel- supevisor... filed complaint. Nothing happened
Call 4th time- Yasmina ...asked for Daniel Supervisor
would not supply. said someone would call back
NO REPLY

Arleth-5th call for credit for express mail
Paid $40 to express mail the part ...next day....
Received it 3DAYS LATER..despite I paid to ship it NEXT DAY.
Filing claim with AMEX

Also they did not follow my clear instructioins

"To place item behind Gate ( gated property)
Instead... it was not sent Fed X or UPS as informed
It was placed in a deserted mail box on the main road

No supervisor ever returned my phone calls

Worst customer service ever!

There are several choices out there for Garage Openers so avoid this one at all costs! Brand new out of the box this unit didn't work. Called customer service and for 3 weeks I still don't have a working opener. When on the phone they promise everything- then do nothing! They kept telling me they would fix the problem but need to call me back. Never did. Told agent I needed a supervisor to call that day. They guaranteed that would happen. Never did. Don't buy this product because the won't help you if it doesn't work!

Actively blocked customers from managing their own garage doors

Actively blocked Home Assistant, easily the best integration for my garage door, trying to lock me (and all other users) into their garbage app to show us more ads, and denying their customers freedom to manage their own garage doors.

If they have issues with allowing 3rd party integrations on their cloud APIs, there could provide a local API on the device instead! But that would just help their customers without printing money, so no go. Unbelievable.

No customer service

09/27/2023 Purchased Chamberlain mod. B4505T opener at Home Depot. Box was previously opened and I wanted Chamberlain to verify what parts were supposed to be there. In addition, I needed an installation manual as that item was not in the box. I guess Chamberlain thinks everyone on earth has a smart phone because in order to open an account on their web site you have to download their "MyQ App" to get started. I tried the chat option and had to deal with a stupid robot, human's are not on the menu. Next I tried the phone with the same result. Now I'm stuck with an opener with no installation manual and the possibility of missing parts. GREAT JOB CHAMBERLAIN!

Customer service is virtually non-existent.

All I wanted was a replacement belt for my model garage door opener, but it's not listed on their website. So I called customer service —three times. The voice menu repeatedly transferred me to the wrong department. The fast-talking reps with thick accents caused me to ask them to repeat almost everything they said. Several times I needed them to spell a word, such as "agent", so I could find out what "ahh-jin" meant. I spent a total of over an hour on the phone. Each time I was eventually transferred to a different department, where I eventually gave up waiting and hung up.

Worst customer service ever!!!

Worst customer service ever!!!! The item sent was defective and the mother board needed to be replaced (grade door opener had been installed at this point) they said they would ship it out ground (5-7 days) and I was shocked and then they said 3-5 at their expense so I asked about overnight and since they refused to pay for that I did and it's been 3 days now and still no delivery. They sent me an email WITHOUT ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE SHIPMENT, WHERE TO TRACK IT OR EVEN A WEBSITE TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. NOTE: The company contacted me and did refund my payment saying it should have been no charge since it was a new install, also the rep that helped me didn't know how to do the express properly thus the delay, all excuses of course but they did make it right!!! All except the express part. Hopefully they will instruct that employee how to do this sort of thing in the future (so they say)! Hopefully this won't have to happen to anyone else as a result of this encounter!

I called tech support and went trough …

I called tech support and went trough all the steps given by the the tech only to be told that the final step was to cut one foot of sensor wire, re connect it and see if that solved the problem. I told him that I wasn’t comfortable cutting wires and even if I did I had no idea about reconnecting them. I was told that if I could do this then he couldn’t assist me. This unit is under warranty and this is not satisfactory. Cutting and splicing wires, SERIOUSLY? All this even after my service company tells me it’s a circuit board issue, to which your tech said, “well he was wrong and sometimes people don’t want to do their job. Very unprofessional!

No Customer Service

Ordered a door lock 12/11/2022 responding to a promotion offering $80 off of a $279.99 door lock. Confirmed delivery by 12/21/2022. Yale Liftmaster Smart deadbolt with Smart Control. U it never arrived. They sent me a request to review my satisfaction for the unit that never came. Called monthly the past 4 months and was told unit was still on back order. Checked last night order cancelled. Called today told order cancelled because they don’t accept Apple Pay which was a selection on their site. I showed them it was a method of payment selection on their site. Then was told it was cancelled because that was too large of a discount and they told me they could do a 20% discount which the total with shipping and tax equaled the full price on the website, hence no discount. Avoid the frustration and deceptive practices, go Elsewhere!!!!!!!!

I bought a garage b4613t couldn’t get the remote or travel dialed in called service department no human contact spent hours trying to resolve the issue finally ripping it down rebooting the pieces and hopefully then the company can lose money as I lost time ps I’m crushing the remotes

I had to buy a new LA500 gate opener…

I had to buy a new LA500 gate opener due to flooding. Bought a new one through Gate Crafters. Louise helped me. She was great, knowledgeable and no BS. I recommend her and Gate Crafters.
However I agree with others that the lift master customer service is horrible.

total crap. opener will not pair with my 2.4 ghz wifi. Support walked me thru 3 different methods, including their app. All crap. I paid too much for this over rated pile of crap

Liftmaster and Chamberlain - The only way it could be worse is if someone died

I purchased 2 Chamberlain / Liftmaster garage door openers in August. They are worse than garbage. An example is that the logic board went bad on the first use. Looking at the board, it has no fuses, so any electrical glitch can kill it. They have a NO REPLACEMENT policy on the unit no matter what - buyer beware. Only the logic board and motor are covered under warranty. Today, after more than 2 months I found out they shipped the board to the wrong address. Now the boards are on backorder (again) so who knows when I will be able to open my garage doors!

Poor Customer Service

Had a new garage door installed. When the tech hooked the chamberlain door opener back up.. The door would go down and then shoot back up and then hit the safety screw and start beeping and flashing. Called customer support, the first Rep gave me wrong info, I asked if I had warrenty cause the unit was only 2 years old.. The dude took my model # and said my model only has a 1 year warrenty and said I need a new part and to order it for $40 off the website. So the tech said if I call them back it's going to be another $100 service fee, insane. Found my manual and my model shows a 5 year warrenty on that part. Called again the next morning, got another Rep, unfortunately both reps had a severe language barrier but we managed to communicate. I went over all of it again.. Puts me on hold and comes back to say "yes sir you are correct, 5 year warrenty" W.t.F. So Rep 1 jus wanted me to spend more money. Rep 2 asks for my name and address, so I spelled out my name and address phonetically do to the language barrier. Got the item today via FedEx... The first and last name was not my name, but the address and phone number was correct. FedEx driver gave me a hard time cause it wasn't my name on the package. So Rep 1 didn't know his product Rep 2 couldn't properly write down a customer name. Chamberlain, you need to start reviewing your on-boarding process in regards to who you are hiring and how they are being trained. It's unacceptable that this is how customers are being treated.

So I call customer service cause my MYQ…

So I call customer service cause my MYQ garage opener app not connecting to servers had to call a whole bunch of times cause the customer service reps there have a heavy Latin accent can’t understand them after the 5 time having to call them I politely ask the rep if she could see if she could me a rep from the US and her response is in the case I should hang up and cal someone in America and hung up on. Todays been over a week I’m supposed to get a call back from them regarding my issue and no one has called

Chamberlain/LiftMaster gate operator

I had a Chamberlain/LiftMaster automatic gate opener (model: CSL24UL) installed at my home about 10 months ago and was happy until about four weeks ago. The gate now mysteriously opens without any input from my remote devices or phone application. It generally opens late at night and I believe I have heard a car traveling down our alley when this occurs. I believe someone may be checking to see if garage doors or gates will open with their remote - so that they may come back later to break in. I am worried for my safety now and have started to disable the gate at night manually. I have tried to contact Chamberlain technical support to find a way to change the opener codes or somehow correct this phantom opening, but have had no proposed solutions. I like the gate opener, otherwise. It opens/closes quietly, smoothly and fairly quickly for a large gate, but this security breach is unacceptable. Therefore, I cannot suggest others purchase this unit.
