I would never recommend Chancellors to anyone and I certainly wouldn’t rent through them again.
They have been utterly useless and have actually caused more issues than they have resolved.

I strongly advise others to be careful before dealing with Chancellor, especially the Finchley branch. I was pressured by an agent named Sean Smith to make a payment before even viewing the property. He rushed me to send money to “secure” it and sent me a contract for another company, telling me to hurry and complete it.

Within an hour, I decided not to proceed and asked for a refund — but they refused, even though I never viewed the flat. I feel misled and treated unfairly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend trusting this company.

Chancellor Finchly London is the best to sell/buy with very professional team. My state agent was Lloyd Salisbury the most professional, patient and kind the most responsive and helpful to make the process so smooth.

My case was handled by Lloyd Salisbury he is very kind helpful and really professional I am really happy with chancellors service.

Having been a reluctant tenant of Chancellors due to Landlord decisions for the past 10 years, I can confidently state that Chancellors are one of the most inept and incompetent property "management" companies I have used, and I use the term "management" very loosely.

As a tenant, I have had multiple instances of issues raised not being addressed; a washing machine that broke for 3 months requiring me to purchase my own replacement, heating issues that take weeks to resolve, incorrect changes to monthly rent costs to then be hounded by multiple agents for pennies, and in one instance an entire year to fix an issue that they visited for, documented and took pictures of, only to never inform the landlord. Most recently, they let themselves into my property for a viewing without contacting me in advance or seeking consent.

As a Tenant, my experience has been that you will not get any support or resolution, and face a constant battle to address any concerns or issues you have (that's even if they tell the property owner about it).
As a landlord, you can expect to be lied to and misinformed about the state of your property, and not told when issues occur.

This is based on personal experience with evidence to corroborate. I strongly suggest avoiding this company if you have the choice, and if you don't, know your tenants rights.

Thank you Lloyd and Karen from Chancellors Estate Agents to get us over the line buying our property. You persisted in keeping the sellers on board even though we were all frustrated by the long details during the anti-money laundering checks. Thank you also for showing us around the property, Lloyd after the tenants finally left, so that we could have a better feel of what the uncluttered property looked like. Thank you also for asking the seller to sort out their bills and bins, which they should have done before completion and arranging a price reduction. Also, thank you for helping us not to pay anything extra to a previous sales management team from a closed Chancellors branch.
