Woeful service from a poor operation
We have had woeful service from Chancellors. Some of the things they got wrong:
- Pictures were pretty bad. Took three attempts to get anything relatively decent.
- Wanted to charge additional for a video walkthrough.
- Missed out a door on the floor plan and a bathroom on the description.
- Took weeks to put up a sign, and it’s spent more time flat on the ground than upright.
- Marketed using flyers to our neighbours that we are selling (like they wouldn’t know).
- Constantly put pressure on to reduce price. (One of their KPI’s)
- Convinced my mother to ‘Advertise with a range on Rightmove’ (this can’t be done) while they already had a viewing booked in before the price was changed.
- Didn’t conduct viewings my mother had to.
- Rude, un-professional and very lacking in knowledge, even for ‘Director level employees’.
- Fell out of favour with our buyer and buyer refused to speak to them.
- Lost buyer down to very poor amateur deal management.
- Week after losing deal, sent flyers to all our neighbours boasting how ‘they have sold in the area’
Avoid at all costs, terrible operation.

The agent was very kind and precise. The only thing why I didn’t give 5 stars was that the announcement had a picture of another house that the actual house I was shown. This houses are similar in the neighborhood but have different layouts, so the one on the picture was not the same as it’s smaller than what I’m looking for.

The Lettings Negotiator made my experience easy, positive, and all around top-tier. Ella made information on the property easily available. We communications were clear, direct, and timely. The property management service I have…
The property management service I have received from Chancellors has been pretty chaotic over the years and very average in standard. They do not seem to train up their staff beforehand for the tasks they will have to undertake. Then there seems to be a lack of coordination and communication between staff members and a distinct lack of teamwork. Sadly I have tried other agencies for property management and they are not much better. I have tried to contact the directors at Chancellors. I am waiting for a reply.
