Edit: The company have now refunded my money, which I think is fair of them.
Very sad to report that this companies website is set up to trick you into renewing after the free trial.
After realising I’d unwittingly renewed while just trying to check if I could delete my credit card, to make sure no more payments were taken until I needed them again. I cancelled almost immediately.
I was then very surprised when they wouldn’t refund my £14.99 despite easily seeing I hadn’t meant to renew.
There’s no need for companies to behave this way, I obviously will never be going back which initially I had intended to do from time to time.
Please avoid unless you intend on staying with them for good. It would be so easy for them to have a warning saying “you are renewing your account if you click on the button below” but that wouldn’t catch enough people out!

This site is a money grab. Once you do a free trial there isn’t even an option to remove your card details. They hide that your card details are saved so that they can do this: when you log in again it automatically takes £14.99 out of your account, reactivating your subscription without your permission. This is dark pattern marketing,
Avoid at all costs. The free credit score checking services are so much better. I wish I never clicked on this damn site.
I emailed them asking to refund me, and lo and behold no reply.

I could see all three credit rating company postings about my personal credit file.

Brilliant credit score file, it showed errors reported by companies that was affecting my score and I was able to sort them out towards my mortgage application and get my score high and even got refunded for errors made over the years it’s 14.99 a month but well worth it if your thinking of getting a mortgage or just want to improve your credit score

The end result being extensive beyond me expectations and well produced.

Best experience you will get with an organisation. Their services help me immensely to sort out my financial situation and therefore I am truly grateful, I have now cancelled my membership but would definitely recommend them and re-join when needed again.

I logged in to CheckmyFile just now because i needed to read over some previous correspondence (since my energy company is being incompetent again). Turns out even just logging in to the CheckmyFile website will re-activate a subscription at 14.99 per month (whether you want it to or not!) No advance warning and no announcement on the screen that logging in costs you money. Very underhand and deceptive. One for the Financial Ombudsman i think. I will escalate if they do not refund. Obtaining money by deception. Their messaging system is totally annoying aswell, endless duplication in the thread makes it pretty impossible to follow. Have also just realised that despite my last membership ending on 11 Feb -- and an update to one "suppressed" account that i can see is dated 01 Feb -- checkmyfile didn't show me that update before my last subscription ran out on 11 Feb. Are they deliberately holding updates back to get the subscriptions rolling in?
UPDATE: They'd rather you didn't know but I got a refund. Despite their website insisting that cancelling membership loses you access to your conversations they're now claiming that isn't the case. So, they've changed their policy just for one review, or they're making it up as they go along.

Very good experience. I accidently reactive the subscription, I called and emailed immediately. Hoping the team will refund the fee. I am waiting for the team's response.

very good report, everything is clearly written, easy to apply

I used it once for a mortgage application and they’ve been charging me £15 a month for 3 months without my knowledge, no receipts or confirmation of subscription sent to my email.

Just needed to justify my credit score, which it did. 😊

It was very helpful. I could be able to get the credit report along with credit score.
