They claim you will receive, "Expert help and step-by-step solutions all in one place." This is not what happens. You give them your question and what you get in return is the same instructions you already got from your professor to find the answer yourself. Wow, thats helpful! If you do actually get an answer, don't use it, especially not on a test or a quiz cuz it will be incorrect. You can complain all you want, it won't help. They don't care. No resolution, no money back, no questions added back into your total for the month when your question is answered incorrect or not at all. Its a waste of your money.

I cancelled Chegg and then they continued to charge me. THIS COMPANY IS PREDATORY. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE! THEY TOOK SO MUCH OF MY MONEY!

I had canceled my subscription and had gotten confirmation, but they continued to charge me on my card. I did not notice since I had canceled but when i did months later Chegg did nothing!!!

TOTAL SCAM, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!My son has been out of school for over a year, attempted to cancel online more than a half dozen times to no avail. Calls to customer service are never picked up even if you wait on line for hours.

Every question I've submitted has received an incorrect answer. I told them the answers are wrong, no one at Chegg has bothered to try to help. I've tried to use their "help" feature, they're just as useless. If you can even get a hold of an actual person, all they do is tell you they'll put you through to an "advanced associate" and then you never hear back from the person "helping" you, they don't even have the basic respect to tell you they're transfering you or that the chat is over, or come back and check on you, they just leave you hanging in the chat with no help. These guys suck. Their answers are wrong and no one helps you when you need it. Go elsewhere.

Terrible. Says on account £7.90 per month been charged £9.48, they keep charging even when cancelled, had to cancel and request refunds about 6 times now aswell. Joke of a company.

CHEGGS has been charging me a monthly fee for the last 12 months without my knowledge. I cancelled all subscriptions upon withdrawal from the 2023-2024 school year, and there is solid proof of no activity.
I called them earlier today regarding books I need to purchase for this current school year only to learn that I am being charged all these months against my will. CHEGGS was not willing to reimburse for more than 3 months! This act is illegal and unethical!

0 Stars. Do not recommend. Chegg sent me the wrong order. They refused to expedite my textbook so I could complete my assignments on time. I ordered my textbook as soon as a received my syllabus. The person I spoke to, Nika, refused to let me speak to her supervisor, she confirmed she is in fact, Mrs. Chegg.

Poor quality for a business. Said I violated their terms of use. I never did, took my money, and left no explanation as to why I couldn't access my account until I reached out to them. I had to spend 20 minutes out of my day arguing through text to finally say I would contact the BBB and my lawyer. Finally, they refunded my money back to me. WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!

Chegg has charged my account for 5 months after I put my account on paused. They told me they didn't see where I pause my account. Please don't use them they are a complete rip off. Why would I continue to pay for something that I'm not using?

When their AI doesn't help they have Experts to solve your problem (which you pay for a limited amount). Their Expert gave me the wrong answer and didn't admit it until I called them out on it....

Never rent or get a subscription from them they will take your money. Once you return a book or cancel a subscription, they won't give your money back for renting or they will keep charging you when you cancel your subscription. We go to Chegg for help us but instead they rob us they play innocent, and they tell us nothing but nonsense. Don't use Chegg

I got a book. When the book arrived, it was being held together by blue duct tape. Is this really how you conduct business with your customers?! Do you think that we (the customers that pay our hard earned money) wouldn't have anything to say in response to your lack of care or consideration?!

There were unauthorized charges for five months before I realized it, and then it was a nightmare to cancel the account.

Scam!! They charge the account 2 to 3 times per MONTH! This was supposed to be cancelled in 2022 but my college daughter didn't notice they kept charging her card. I got involved and contacted them last week and they cannot find the account(s) and ask if our family is using the service, NO!

The company knows NOTHING about referencing. It is literally easier to just do a bibliography myself. For what you guys charge you need to get it together!!! I used to use cite this for me, so disappointing that this pathetic company took over...

I found Cheggs customer service number and talked to someone and they were able to refund me immediately.

I wish I could give them negative stars. I also wish I would have taken head to their negative reviews but because I used them years ago I decided to take that chance and use them again. Their service used to be excellent and very convienient; especially for college students who are already limited on funds.

Im writing this review after contacting Chegg support asking repeatedly asking about my refund for returning my books before the 21 day period. After receiving an email June 12, 2024 saying that my "EARLY RETURN" has be recieved and, "A refund will return to your original form of payment within 5 business days." It is now August 7, 2024 and I just remembered after finishing the course and needing another book that I never saw a refund for my previous return. I double checked my Chegg account as well as my credit card only to confirm that no refund was sent back to me. I emailed the same Chegg Support email chain from when I inquired about it in June. This was the response I got:
"I've checked on the status of your books and can confirm that we've received them at our warehouse. You should have received a separate email for each book as it's checked in.

We appreciate your patience. Our warehouse is working as hard as it can to get all of these books checked in and the refunds issued. Please allow a few more days for your refund to be processed."

Needless to say I am highly upset and I let them know I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and whoever else I can notify.

It can be pretty bad when you have to ask a question 3-4 times to finally get someone that knows how to answer it correctly and it still counts as 4 separate questions asked. I asked how to solve one question with the answer available and the guy wrote a formula and then just used my answer as the answer without doing any work...
Not giving it one star because you can actually get some good people on there that show their work well and help you understand it. If they could get rid of the ones that don't know what they're doing it would be pretty good.

Fake site, if the don'tknow the answers they mention that options are incorrect
