I have been using Chime for some time now. I haven't had a problem with it for the most part. I just decided I could trust the company enough to use them for direct deposit from my employer. I followed the instruction to set up direct deposit. I logged into my payroll and was told upon successful login I'd be directed back to chime. That didn't happen. Instead I was logged out of chime. Now I can't log back in because my biometric feature isn't available and I've used it so long I've forgotten my password. The phone number I used to sign up is changed and my state issued ID has expired and I'm awaiting a new one. No option to use my email to verify, or options to answer any security questions. I called and was told that I could use my expired ID because it wasn't a year past expired. Not true. I have no way to access my account. BS

Chime is absolutely terrible. I had fraudulent activity on my account and they never investigated it and they never gave me my money back. Don’t ever open an account with Chime.

So far so good what would make this app exceptionally great is if they can tell whether or not, if us as consumers who do online purchases if chime can tell if the site is legitimate or a scam site. That would make them more efficient and easier to work great.

I was an early adopter of Chime in 2019 and pushed most of my friendsand family to join. They were good then but have significantly dropped in quality. Several friends have had their card numbers breached and Chime refuses their disputes. Its like pulling teeth to get any customer service. Its all outsourced and I've personally had several rude reps that just hang up on me. A good idea with terrible security that has declined to virtual uselessness. I will be closing all accounts and encourage the same of my friends and family.

Chime is probably the most incompetent online banking service. My wallet was stolen an someone use my card i sent chime my location to proved that I didn't make the chargers sent them my location an police report an they still are denying me money even with proof that someone took my card.

Chime isn't even a bank so there's no reason to keep your money with them. They don't even have a physical location and you can't get a debit card unless you have Chime+. Yes, you can add money to an account in stores but you can end up losing your money. A scammer stole $100 from me but Chime denied my fraud dispute & appeal. They seem to approve disputes of customers who expose them on the news.

I'm a senior citizen and the options with a Chime account such as spot me and my pay and instant loans, if qualified, are great and a benefit to senior citizens besides myself! Chime should be a big consideration for seniors in banking as they provide some flexibility when you're on a fixed income like social security!!! It's a great bank and has provided me with options that I did not have as a senior citizen with other Banks!

i LOVE Chime! i was a programmer at a big bank years ago, so i really appreciate how great their whole deal is! early direct deposits, realtime updates, great website and app. small loans are easy and quick. one small annoyance is having to go to Walgreens for a free atm to get cash or to deposit cash with a cashier--but i can avoid that most of the time. it is well worth it for the other advantages!

Chime does not protect your money or refund it. There is no fraud protection. All they do is deny disputes without even looking at data. They don’t not tell you why they deny it , just send you a form letter. All their representatives are foreign and do not help. Just read answers of a script. A unauthorized charge of $2500 was applied to my account by fraud and Chime will not get my money back. They are rude and do not care about their customers. Everything they market is false advertisement. Your money is not protected with Chime and Stride bank does not protect your money either. Stride will not even respond to my emails. Do not put your money here. I am getting evicted because of this and Chime could care less. Protect your money and mental health and do NOT use Chime.
Look at the response , generic cover your behind response. I have included a police report. I will be adding more documentation however you Chime has yet to explain why it was denied so I can provide the information.

Someone used my American mobile number and my email account to open a Chime account. I am no longer in the US and cannot download the app or call the help line to have the account closed and reported. Please help me with this.
I cannot call a US number from Spain. I need online assistance.

Add another one star review for Chime not to care about.
They are careless about what they pay. As another reviewer said, they are a boon to scammers. Look at all the one star reviews!
Now they seem to have fired or laid off their local customer service and they have AI, which I refuse to deal with and customer service now appears to be offshore because they all have the same accent. What happened to your American workers, Chime? I am actively looks ng for a Chime alternative and when I find one. I'm gone. It's disappointing because there is a lot to like about Chime. But disputes isn't one of them. They are careless.
Chime has helped a lot I got paid early and it has help me financially get back on my feet

Child has been the most worst bank that I ever been banking with and I had multiple banks. It was at one point where I had some deposit go to them into my account and yeah, I got the spot me and everything but when I need help at one point I called him and ask him if they could help me out with a spot me bonus increase and they just kept giving me the runaround and one person would say one thing and then I come back another one say another thing and that one point there was one agent that said as soon as we receive your next qualified direct deposit, we could do a spot increase as soon as I got my direct deposit. It was like a whole different ball game because they no one know what the other person said whenever the time came for me to call them again it has been nothing but a headache and I don’t know if I’m gonna keep banking with them because I know there’s other banks online that gives out better offers and bonuses because since I’ve been a member for over a few years more than four years I have never received a promotion bonus or any type of bonus besides a referral bonus that I could get if I referral a friend some of us don’t even have a lot of people that we call friends that we could send a referral bonus out and even get it

I’ve had chime for 3 years now and all I have to say are great things. Their app is easy to use, money transferring from bank to bank is so quick and easy and let me tell you about the advance pay, AMAZING! I have never had any issues with chime banking and have recommended it to a few of my friends.

Chime has been the best decision I've made, it's Fee free, first time in a while I have savings.
Chime keeps my money safe, if it's not in my list of bills it will ask if I tried to make this payment.
I'm totally in control of my money. Thank you Chime
