Communication and shipment were fast. I ordered a Braun alarm which is cute, dials easy to read use. The alarm, however, cannot be heard. It's not just my aging ears. I asked friends if they could hear it and none of them could. So if you want an attractive clock to grace your house go for it. If you want an alarm clock, look elsewhere.

Fossil make fashion watches. This is a £50.00 odd fashion watch. But the design is subtle and pleasing. This is an eye catching mixture of classical looks and minimalist leanings. A black face has been a design must since a jeweller asked me if I would not prefer a white faced watch. And military design ergonomically must be good? Fashion and function must compete for the attention of the designer of Fossil watches. This does not try to glow in the dark, whilst top end watches like Nite glow for hundreds of years all the time. It has a Euro pin design and has an extra wide strap, no problem to replace with a conventional strap pin.
It seems to me a watch strap should be the province of the wearer so this design being wide between the cheeks is a bit of a gamble ( using a non standard width ) they have got it right and the rest of the industry are “fossils”! Another consideration where this watch takes a position is the date window. The date window is very discreet. Compare that with the famous Rolex oyster perpetual dater which is has a thick magnifier window and you can see the designer of this watch wanted to be gentle not aggressive in meeting your needs. Another example of that is the second hand. I have had watches where the second hand detracts from telling the time because it is too easy to see. This is not too easy to see, and again shelters on the side of discretion, knowing there are buyers out there who appreciate that when they are looking for the second hand...(not that often) they do not want it complicating the easy read principle of reducing distractions. The centre of the dial has the hands blackened for a few mm which aids legibility and is anice touch. And remember, after the near obligatory three moving hands, with an ergonomic weighting attached to each, any other feature on top of the three hands is officially a “complication”. Watches are great because whilst art or artifice is how we get to read the time, science is really the measure of time and timepieces that win on so many levels like this one. For the price. I cannot believe or entertain how many watches are not legible, or have dials where too much is going on. You can probably thus guess which watches get my vote, and , to be fair to this one , the points I highlight are all arguable. The points covered by this watch are all a compromise. With no nighttime illumnation...Nite watches are just 10 miles away, you are going to get nearer 4 stars than 5. The demerit of one star is over a feature that half the time anyway does not work in other makes, and fades with the years. Apple watches which is fair enough but the first thing Apple did when battery power had improved was to have the dial lit permanently. I resolved months ago to only buy day date watches. I have bought a couple of "Dementia" clocks with day and date added to the time and AM/PM and been impressed on the ergonomics of a generous spirit in a watch (or clockmaker). OK I bought this watch without a day/date and only a date, and it wont be a perpetual mechanism, but it is what it is and that is in my book streets and skyscrapers ahead of many offerings at the price. MIneral Glass. Tick. Obviously things are changing but this watch is a bastion of common sense and price and I like it for what it says about the choices we make.
Krikey, what I could have bought for, say, £250? But that is not the point.

Hugo Boss 150GBP watch arrived with dead battery & marking saying battery change 2017??
So far no refund nor answer on claim in spite of haven proven a battery change with a receipt of 15GBP.
Watch out :) for this company. The historical good reviews doesn’t seem to match the current performance.

Amazing service within a half a hour of ordering i recieved a email and my g shock "the hundreds" was already with royal mail. and i recieved the watch the following day at 10 in the morning! Thats very quick delivery!! The watch itself is amazing and was well packaged, and it made my son very happy and cheered him up , who has been missing his dad who has been working away at the hospital and he is so proud wearing his g shock :)

Well what can i say. I bought this watch because I needed a watch that would hold up to the eliments and I've always rated G Shocks. Chris Elli had the best price and the service was excellent. I was kept up to date with delivery details and the watch arrived when promised. I would truely recommend both the seller and the watch.

Excellent service received order and dispatch e-mails soon after placing the order. Then I was able to track the item until it arrived. Would 100% use again. And to top it all the price was great as well.

Ordered two different items, apparently it was too much for them, for one they sent was wrong and much cheaper item than the one I ordered. When I contacted them about this, they recommended that I can send it back - at my own expense (!) -, and when they have received it then they will send the correct item that I paid for(!??)

So: it turns out that if you order from them, you have to be prepared that if they make the mistake and send the wrong item or something similar, then it is you who has to pay for their mistakes.

I think they should have sent the right item a.s.a.p. and not put any conditions because they made the mistake and they had my money!
I decided not to send it back, it would be far too expensive to post it internationally, and a lot of unnecessarily spent energy, I'd like to put it behind me and forget it, so this will be an expensive and unpleasant lesson for me.
