Worst dental visit of my life.
This was the worst dental visit of my life. I would avoid them at all costs. I still have an unauthorized charge to my credit card that I have to deal with from this nightmare of a dental visit. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. Do not trust a word they say about what you will be charged if you do business with them.
I was falsely assured by the office manager that my dental insurance would cover 100% of the cost on a weekend when I could not call my dental insurance company to verify her claim. I asked to reschedule the appointment so I could call my dental insurance company to verify that they would cover 100% of the cost, but she said there is no need to call the insurance company to verify because she can check online and see that they cover 100% of the charges for the visit with her online tool. I agreed to have the service based on her false assurances that my dental insurance company would completely cover the visit, but we agreed to leave my credit card on file in case there was any amount that I still owed after they submitted my claim and received a check from my dental insurance company over the next month or so.
When I spoke with my dental insurance company that Monday, they said that they would cover less than half of the charges from the visit. Within a few days, chroma dental tried to make an unauthorized charge to my credit card for the full amount of the visit even though they already had been sent notice by me that my dental insurance company was going to pay about half the visit fee. This seemed to be an attempt to charge me 150% of the cost of a visit that I was assured by her I would be 0% financially responsible for. I called chroma dental to have them reverse the unauthorized charge to my card, but of course she refused to reverse the unauthorized credit card charge.
Note -This poor experience was caused exclusively by the office manager. The dentist, dental assistant, and other receptionist did a good job.
