My friend transferred money into my…

My friend transferred money into my account, not much but enough for an emergency. After several failed attempts to login I realised that it was because I had changed my phone number. I have been emailing the company backwards and forwards for three days. I then had to submit a picture of my face with my ID which I did. Then I got a message that I had to send a picture of just my ID which I did. Then this very rude circle team person called Jack tells me that is not the ID you signed up with! Are these people mad? I have sent enough ID to prove it is me and it is NOT YOUR MONEY. I tried to ring the number to make a complaint and surprise, surprise there is no one there. Circle you claim that people can access their money quickly through you but that is a Lie. I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE. NOW GIVE ME MY MONEY

Horrible!

Got money deposited into my circle, they suddenly locked my account when I tried to withdraw, asked for ID which I sent, I don't have a driving license or passport so sent birth certificate and ID card. Despite emailing for days since they don't have a number they have ignored me completely!!

WARNING!! AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!

WARNING!!! Don't trust this company. Once you deposit money they lock your account & demand ID, even then they don't respond. Customer service is zero, they ignore you - this is an absolute SCAM!! I have reported their illegal activities to the Google Play store.
Circle also own Poloniex Crypto exchange where they are doing the EXACT same thing - there is no customer service whatsoever with this company, they just steal your money & blackmail you into giving them your personal info. A complete fraud.

WARNING!! AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!

Not sure

My experience with Circle was over before it even began. I made it through the signup process with Circle Pay, but once I signed up with Circle Invest, they closed BOTH of my accounts for reasons they cannot or will not disclose. I shall also note I was unable to link any financial funding sources to the account. I will give 2 stars simply because support was communicative and responsive, although overall unhelpful.

A complete & utter SCAM!

A complete & utter SCAM!
Customer support is abysmal, scripted responses to all questions or complaints. Once they get your money it's gone - never to be seen again - STAY AWAY!
Circle are owned by Goldman Sachs who have been found guilty of fraud, insider trading, etc, etc on many occasions. Google "Goldman Sachs Fraud"
They recently bought Poloniex crypto exchange which is also turning into a scam - locking customers out of their accounts & so unable to access their funds.
BEWARE OF CIRCLE AND ANY COMPANY THEY OWN!!!

Edit: In reply to the below scripted response from Circle - NO! You ignore customer tickets, sending useless scripted responses like the one you just posted here. You just proved my point perfectly.

I repeat: STAY AWAY FROM POLONIEX/CIRCLE/GOLDMAN SACHS - THEY ARE PROVEN SCAMMERS!!

No Free Lunch in the World

I guess most people who heard about this online service is probably because of that 'Send £25 and get £5' offer. I actually introduced this service to 4 of my friends and we all get £5 doing this transaction. But when I did it for the fifth time, after I sent the £25 to my friend, my friend's account got deducted £20 from "Circle@help". We contacted the customer service by email as there is no number to call, and the email reply never answered this simple question. If this is not a scam, I don't know what is. So in total, I lost the initial £25 I sent, and I have to pay the £25 which my friend sent but never end up to my account. So I lost all the money I earned in the initial 4 transaction.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT PHONE NUMBER AND DOES NOT RESPOND TO YOUR MESSAGES!!!

We used your circle service because you state that if we transfer between debit cards it will hit our account instantly. This however is not the case, as I have to wait 6 days to get the money my son sent through your service on yesterday morning. Also, to add insult to injury you guys aren't even integral enough to have a customer service phone number to assist customers who desperately seek help in using your service. Things are really hard for people and when they need monies transferred quickly, that is the EXPECTATION and REASON for using your FREE MONEY TRANSFER SERVICE!!! Please don't tell your customers it's an INSTANT CASH TRANSFER WHEN YOU USE A DEBIT, WHEN IT IS NOT!!! This is not cool nor TRANSPARENT! I needed my money to pay my rent by today, but Thanks to your lack of transparency, I will now have to pay a $75.00 late fee that I do not have available to pay. I will give this review online. If you do not wish to have a Customer Service Phone Number, then at least offer Customer Support by Chat!!! This will put your customers at ease when using your service,. AFTER ALL, WE HAVE OUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THE LINE NOT YOURS!!! I only wish I would have researched your company further before my Son and I used it, but because you came highly recommended I didn't bother. BIG MISTAKE!!! and I will let the person who recommended you know that I was very displeased with the service I received from your company!!!

Signed,
EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED!!!

Honestly avoid this App..Scam, sham

Honestly avoid this App.
You are allowed to sign up then transfer money, only to be told after you get comfortable with YOUR funds in their account to send verification details.
Verification details are meant to be asked for on registration.
If you refuse the App sits on your money- that's fraudulent.
Why would you want to give your personal details to an organization. Only my bank can request these details from me.
I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU SHOULD NOT USE.
Its a scam,its a sham

Money Held Hostage!!

Upon invitation I signed up to use the companies payment processing services. I was told I had a $500 limit. I sent the first $120.00 without issue. The next time I used the service to send $125.00 they took the funds from my account and then refused to deliver to the payee until I met additional requirements. If additional verification was required funds should not have been removed from the account before the requirements where met.

Do not use unless you like to wait for your money

A friend sent me money through circle. I instantly had the funds show up in the app so I proceeded to cash out. 5 minutes later I got an email saying they need to verify my identity and to upload a picture of my license with a real time selfie. I did both right away and got a message stating that they were reviewing my account and it would take 1-3 business days. It took the entire 3 business days plus the weekend. By the time my account was ready to use, 5 days passed. At this point, I decide to cash out the funds and then I get another message stating my transaction is under review and to wait 1-3 business days. It has been a week now with waiting to cash out a mere $400. There is no phone number to call and you get the same generic email every time you send a message to customer service

---- AVOID CIRCLE PAY ----

---- AVOID CIRCLE PAY ----
THEY TOOK £300 FROM ME.
I had used this as a means to send money to my little sister for her birthday. When it got into her account, they suspended mine without reason. I didn't mind because I didn't intend to use my account for anything else.
UNTIL they also suspended my sister's account when she tried to withdraw her money! £300 GONE
They said they would 'hold' the money for 90 days (Is that even legal?), and 90 days was 6 DAYS AGO. Of course, they didn't bother reaching out to me. I emailed them and inquired about my money. No response, 5 days later.
SCAM COMPANY. AVOID.

Please be careful using this company

Please be careful using this company - someone has cloned my 82 year olds nans bank account via this website / app and they are not very helpful - although they are fast on customer services via mail I feel they offered no help or details regarding how a woman of my nans age could have ended up with a cloned account the lack of information disappoints me

Circle ARE the best and I'll tell you why...

First of all, they're much more reasonable about their limits than say, Coinbase. At Coinbase, you're going to start out with anywhere from $50 per week instant buy to MAYBE $300 if you're lucky. At Circle, it's $300 and then fairly quickly for most, a bump up to $3,000 per week instant buy.

Second (and this one is huge), Circle have a.......PHONE NUMBER that you can.......ACTUALLY CALL to talk to someone. Why, what a novel idea! Why didn't Coinbase or any of the other exchanges think of that? They're helpful and they pick up fairly quickly, too.

Third, the mere 1-2% bump up in price is a steal for instant bitcoin purchase via debit. Circle are the best, hands down. Don't ever change, Circle!

Don't use!!

Even though their site and app are nice to use, and they have nice features like two-factor and bitcoin support. There service is a lotto, you are restricted to limited transaction per week which "can" be increased on a quote "case-by-case basis", even though I passed all the extra auth they still wouldn't increase my limit.

First issue was they provide a unique referral code which one would assume they have a scheme, I saw they said they would provide £10 per friend, after signing up serval friends (10+), I found out this was a lie and that to get that I have to enquire to be opted in to that scheme and be considered.

Next issue was a few months in they sent a welcome email again as if my account was reset and asked me to resubmit all my security stuff again (proof ID via photos etc) to which they responded to my email with "We take security very seriously at Circle, and sometimes we randomly review accounts.", after providing them with it and getting confirmation emails they asked me more question at this point I gave up.

Please don't consider using them, they are very sneaky with how they operate and not clear about their restriction, had I known all this I wouldn't have given them so much of my information.
