I'm using Circle loop for more than a year and they are providing a great service, pricing is transparent and No contract. I recently move a phone number from another provider to them, the porting team was fantastic especially Zac Sabatino who was in charge of my poting and all went smooth.

Working with it

I was going to delete my account because it wasn't working. However after leaving a poor review a very nice chap from circle loop gave me a call to explain some of the limits of modern technology using 4g on potentially unstable 4g connections.
He explained how we could set it up in a different way to give us what we need and we are now giving it another try.

Support is just top class

Support is just top class. I had an issue, so i called their customer support helpline and was immediately put through to someone who knew what they were talking about. In the era of automations and holding for 15 mins, it means a lot when a company has good customer support. 5 stars

Great Value For Money & Faultless Service

A great VoIP service - incredibly easy to signup, easy to manage users, call plans & numbers (Geo/Non-Geo + Mobile) all with a few clicks.
Support is great too! Quick to answer any queries and full access was activated within 24 hours of my request.

It doesn't work

It doesn't work. I've tried on my laptop, my desktop, my phone on wifi and 4G and doesn't work on any of them. When I discussed with customer service they didn't want to accept that their software was the problem, so only option its to try something else, which is strange as I have no problem, with calls on Whats App, FaceTime, Zoom, Skype or Teams.

The Best Customer Service!

I'm a VA with a building client base and I manage to set up and remove numbers easily using the Windows or iPhone App but I had a technical issue when setting up voicemail for a new number. With any other IT or Service company, you are never able to speak to the same person, if you get to speak to anyone at all.

Circleloop customer service is definitely 5 stars worthy, lovely people and they stick with you until they solve the issue. Quick answers and quick resolutions.

I wish everyone treated their customers like a good mate who they're keen to help! They all sound so happy to do their jobs!

CL is a great idea but Don't do it!

CL is Great Idea, and people are great too, its real shame the product is basically not fit for Business purpose, un less you have a degree in IT to fix the problems (I don't)
We are a team of 8 working from home (Covid) and all I get is customer complaints about the call quality, last thing i need in a Covid world!!!!!!!! (!)
I'm getting complaints and I'm using a 200MB virgin fibber connection connected to £600 worth of Jabra equipment. The call are great for us, however clients can't hear us due to call quality,
Responses form support; I have to hard wire to the PC via USB for calls for CL to work, really in todays age! The milkman has better technology.
Come on, this is not good enough, I now they will blame the Network provider, (and they will) or I have to upgrade my router, £250*8 as CL only works with that router and then Ive (and 7 ladies) change the SoC, or something like that setting, but really, I'm a bookkeeper just trying to make a living and CL have no idea what their product is like from a user perspective.
Anyway I'm off to spend another £150 on Jabra product to wire my head to the the PC's USB port.
All feels very 90's
Thank you, I now have to change all my Comms again, its appreciated in current environment.

Hi Craig,

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues, I will attempt to address each of your points so that we can work out a way forward for you and your company.

CircleLoop provides a cloud based phone solution, this means that calls are made and received over the internet, in this case 8 different peoples internet connections and given the current situation the internet connections of the customers you are trying to call.

Although our focus is on delivering telephony, CircleLoop is a similar principle to any other cloud based solution such as teams, zoom or slack when it comes to delivering calls. The quality of the call is determined often by your internet connection and the connection of the person receiving the call. It is also determined by the configuration on your network.

This method differs from traditional fixed line circuit-switched telephone networks provided traditionally by companies including BT.

You correctly state that as a team of 8 you want to have the best call quality whilst working from home. In order to do this we recommend you to all use the desktop application with a recommended Jabra headset and we can then look at other solutions like changing bit rates and monitoring calls.

We offer a mobile application but this is used best as a back up to our desktop application, using 4 of 5G on a mobile device does not offer the best solution for call quality. We would not recommend replacing a business phone system that is often the first contact point of your company with a mobile phone application.

The fact you mention that the call quality is great for you but not for people you call probably brings up another issue with the current situation we are all facing re: Covid. Pre 2020 more calls would have been VoIP to landline ie you calling people in the office or perhaps on mobile, now as so many companies are at home more and more calls are VoIP to VoIP meaning not only does your connection need to be correct but so does the system that your client is using. Frustrating I know but a symptom of the situation we find ourselves in.

Calls to and from CircleLoop will work on both mobile and via Wifi however the quality may well vary that is why we want you to use the desktop application - the mobile app works OK for small business who make limited calls but not for a larger user like your company.

The team will call you tomorrow we have identified several issues that we can discuss in more detail

1) 5 out of the last 11 company calls are via mobile
2) The Jabra's you are currently using aren't our recommended evolve range. They are a mixture of speak 510 which we recommend for conference calls and elite 85 which are headphones for media consumption
3) We can enable call forwarding if you want to use mobile, ensuring call quality and seamlessly for your staff and customers

People are working from home, we don't expect them to have business grade routers or technical staff on standby so we will help where we can.

Please come directly to the team Craig - we will always attempt to assist and be honest with you as to the system you are using and how to get the best from it. If we can make it work for you then we will and we appreciate its a tough situation you and many clients are in.

Have a nice evening and one of my team will call you first thing and Ive put a 50% voucher on your latest bill.

Thanks
Dylan

Good System -Excellent Service

The whole experience from first contact to getting our numbers ported has been refreshingly different. Every phone call for help was met by knowledgeable, friendly support.
In particular the assistance from Sarah and Zac with the number porting was exceptional.
In use the system is different from a standard telephony paradigm but works well. Quality is good and the features serve our needs well.

Come on CircleLoop

Come on CircleLoop, let not loose sight of who the customer is.

Trying to setup an account with Circle loop and its painful at best.

Not clear to the layperson how to set it up so paying for a service which doesn't do what I thought was it was supposed to. OK my bad I'm not technical.

Mixed message coming from their team that things work and then told they didn't (i.e. call forwarding) but he was new and didn't know what he was doing. OK we all need to learn.

Now being charged to port numbers over, so OK can live with that but when you do port the number you can't really get text messages in a useful format. FFS, right OK lets try it and see how we go.

Mobile was OK to move but to do Skype number I need to fill a form in (asked 3 time for it) and told to trot off and find out Skype's business address and some details to pass onto them. Forms as clear as mud, if it Skype account details or Circle loops you want in here because I can't tell. Asked for advice as surely they have done this before and would have a clue and was bluntly pointed to Skype's support page which is as clear as mud.

It's like the team can't be bothered and if you don't get the info they require in format they want and know all the tech stuff you're nothing more than an inconvenience. Its always oh you need to do this as well, ah it doesn't really work that way. Poor CircleLoop, very poor and unimpressed.

Hi Kevin,

I am sorry that you are experiencing issues with your CircleLoop account. I will attempt to break those down for you against the information you have provided above.

Our porting manager has been clear from the start that porting costs £20+vat per number per attempt, excluding mobile number ports which are free of charge.

We have successfully ported your mobile number and I am satisfied that we went through the limitations of porting the mobile number, especially surrounding SMS as we are not a dedicated messaging service. The team then also went through how using a CRM integration could alleviate some of the limitations and we went through this with you before we confirmed he wanted to port his number.

You have since requested to port a landline number, a signed Letter of Authority is required to port landline numbers. The form is industry standard and has to be completed by you the customer or your provider for 03 or 08 numbers. We always suggest to speak to your current provider to make sure you have the right information on the form, without the correct information we cannot successfully port your number and multiple rejected attempts can get costly - that is why you are required to get the information correct and speak to Skype yourself.

We will always do everything we can to help you through any aspect of CircleLoop and it's setup, unfortunately for the information required to port your number it is yourself that needs to do some of the leg work as your information is protected, quite rightly, by the GDPR policies of the losing provider. Porting in the UK can be a tricky and time consuming process and again looking at your records I can see the team have explained this to you.

I have had a look through your setup and it looks to me like a call forwarding type service would be a better solution for you, I feel the team should have identified this early for you but as you correctly state your first interaction was with a new member of staff.

If you contact Zac in my customer success team he will happily discuss the account in detail, help you to understand the forms (but you will need to deal with Skype yourself), arrange a product overview and if needed assist you in porting your mobile number away from us if we arent the product for you.

As a good will gesture because we didnt explain the best solution for you at the start I will credit the last 2 months worth of invoices.

Thanks
Dylan

Great service and platform, but...

Great service and platform, we used it for about 3 months. However, had to cancel due to incorrect/dead numbers just ringing and ringing out (so you don't know if the phone number is genuine or not). As soon as this issue if fixed, we'd be back in a heartbeat.
