Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful! We used this company in Prague and never again! I’m giving one star as I can’t leave it less than that!
The staff are not friendly at all, the bus sits for 15 mins a time every couple of stops so the drivers can smoke and chat.
While getting on the bus they drive off while you’re going up the stairs!!
Won’t use again!! Defo don’t recommend!!

Good routes but if you get into trouble they Abandon you

Beware this company may leave you stranded at a location they are expected to stop at. Then when you try and contact them, either by Whatsapp or calling the number on the boarding ticket, you’ll find either the number not in service or not answered. We effectively were ABANDONED on route. We had to take an Uber to get home.

The routes were fine and a few of the drivers I asked a question of were pleasant.

But if a problem arises you fend for yourself.

I used Hop on Off around the world. Not sure I used this company at every location but I will now be cautious in selecting companies to board.

When I reached out to their customer service for partial compensation to cover the Uber, it was frustrating. I was asked to submit proof of purchase, and then scan the boarding ticket, all of which I did. After I provided all they asked, they simply came back and rejected my request for a partial compensation. They effectivly strung me along hoping I would drop the effort.

In closing, if you have a tour company in the city you wish this type of service, then take the other company, not City Sightseeing tour company. Happy travels.

Bad service

Bought tickets for a day in Edinburgh.
They said the buses should run every 30 minute to 6pm.
At 4pm we waited over 45 minutes for a bus, than never came.

Málaga bus worst ever.

Málaga bus, worst ever. So glad we didn't book it for 48hrs. We booked it in a Sunday and we're told it was every 15-20mins. That was a lie. The earliest it came was every 40mins at best and at worst every hour. Don't waste your money, you can walk it quicker.

They are absolutely horrible!!

They are absolutely terrible. They claim free cancelations but when you go to cancel, their system is conveniently broken. Their "customer service" plays dumb and makes you jump thru all sorts of hoops to waste your time before ultimately telling you they refuse to provide you with a refund of your own money.

Giants Causeway and coastal tour
What a great tour! Troy was our driver and tour guide. Very knowledgeable, pleasant and obliging! We visited many landmarks along the way. Troy pointed out lots of things we might have missed and dropped fun facts along the way. He was a great source of entertainment and ensured we all had fun! Would highly recommend

Lisbon City Sightseeing

Lisbon City Sightseeing - most of the audio points don't work - and when bus is full you can't move to another seat where one is working! Been like this for years- see other reviews on here from 2024! Very expensive silent bus journey - plus buses are supposed to run every half hour but we were left waiting for nearly an hour! Still waiting for Complaints department to respond about services we paid full price for not delivered....

London- dreadful

Took City Sightseeing bus in Lindon yesterday. Should have read the reviews and booked a different company!
Bus we wanted to take was only each 90 min (didn't see that info), and then when we actually caught a bus it was dreadful.
The driver didnt say anything, took ages to scan my tickets- didn't mention the map or audio guide (saw them when we got off).
Everytime the bus idled there was an awful deafening rattling noise so loud you couldn't talk.
We got off early after this- and walked. Total waste of £60 .

Worst company I have ever had dealings…

Worst company I have ever had dealings with, we went on a tour in June 25 half way round the bus driver stopped the bus came upstairs and accussed my daughter who is in her 30's of putting her arm out and touching the other bus passing when we said, it wasn't us he begin yelling I know what I saw I saw on the camera what he didn't see was it was the child in front of us unacomopanied by an adult. I immediately reported to the customer services who asked for receipts times route excact place it happened of which I supplied all details eventually they came back and did absolutely nothing about it and ghosted me there is no point having cameras on their buses and timetables of drivers and routes it makes me wonder how they are dealing with health and safety if a major incident occured, shocking customer service use another company would be my advice......

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SCAMMERS! The system and the calendar online will not allow you to choose a date and persuades you to purchase advertising for free cancellation. They are saying to cancel free at least 24 hours from date of travel. But in reality, you are not able to choose a date of travel as the system is manipulated. Your date of purchase becomes the first day of your travel and therefore you are NOT FREE TO CANCEL THE PURCHASE. I argued and explained my situation why I want to cancel and asked for a refund but they would not refund the money. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSWHERE! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM !!!

Rude obnoxious cretin at the Aston Martin stop in park lane. He is a disgrace to your company. Met an entire bus of Welsh tourists with abuse. It's a bus stand. We were getting off. We certainly will never use your company!
Told me to p#ss off as I said he was rude!

Horrible experience in Barcelona &…

Horrible experience in Barcelona & Palma de Mallorca in October 2025. Had pre-purchased tickets but was made to wait hours in line with those that did not have tickets. Bus was very slow & the wait at stops very long even tho there were dozens of busses running. Didn’t get to change bus lines in Barcelona because of how slow things ran in order to make it to the ship. Would absolutely do custome tuk tuk tours like we did in Rome or something similar before throwing our money away. This was our first & last experiences using these buses.

Scammed out of our money

Scammed out of our money. Was told one price by the representative at Westminster Pier and then charged double. When I complained and asked for our money back he refused and claimed he meant per person despite me asking for two tickets. Random tour guide who seemed very pally with him then butted in and accused my wife of being rude despite it having nothing to do with this tour guide. Avoid this bunch

Do not book this service in London

Do not book this service in London my friend and I waited with her young son for over an hour for them to come to St Pancreas they never came and we ended up paying for another company Golden tours which was excellent- I have emailed and tried to phone them, the phone goes dead and they don’t respond to emails. Basically they stole more than 80£ from me because they provided no service. I am reporting to trading standards and emailing Martin Lewis to see if he can investigate this firm. From the reviews it sounds as if this is a usual problem.

Not worth it in Lisbon

In lisbon, at 2 of our hop-on stops it took over 45 minutes for a bus to arrive. At one of these the driver let all of our large group board where we found we were short one seat. The driver helper booted one of us off so his spouse left too and both missed a tour they had planned to take. The kicker was the driver aide took a seat but got off on the next stop. The aide could have taken the next bus and given the seat to a paying customer. This was an over priced sub par experience.

DO NOT BOOK THIS BUS!!!

DO NOT BOOK THIS BUS!!!! We should have read the reviews before, but use one of the competitors such as the YELLOW BUS or the other red sightseeing bus in Lisbon. On both of those there are live trackers for the buses which saves you waiting around. We waited for an hour between buses from the hop on/off and there was no way of tracking them, they claim to come every 20 mins and do not. Everything is old fashioned - multiple speakers and headsets not working, no wifi on board either. We only got to use the bus once in the 24 hour time slot, we even called customer care as none of the stops were signposted well at all. Also the downloadable map online did not work. The worst customer service when questioned about a refund. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
