Do not EVER go to Macquire Park City…
Do not EVER go to Macquire Centre City Beach. First, the attendants have no clue of what they are selling. I brought a biquini - Topanga Fiesta - that I bought the wrong size in another shop, I mentioned that to the attendant, and in stead of checking in the systen, she spent 5 minutes saying "wow I have never seen this one here" and seemed very lost. Then, later after I tried 6 pieces of biquinis, I was ready to take all of them home, and exchange my wrong size one. At 1515 today (2nd of January) me and other people full on clothes in our hands, queueing to pay, and we see 3 teenagers more lost than anything in the World at the till, and no one being able to buy anything (they couldn't login or look for products, no idea), they looked so shy and lost, only one staff seemed keen to at least try to solve issues, the girl with long curly hair... I felt sorry for all of them to be put in such a stressful position and I felt angry for not being able to buy anything and stay in the queue forever for nothing. I ended up leaving, and I wasted in total almost 2 hours to be here, try clothes and not being able to take any clothes home as the staff are not able to work at the till either. Very sad. I will never be back to this shop in particular. They need a supervising experienced adult or teenager.

Rude manager and staff. 0 stars
I am absolutely disgusted about the conduct of the store manager and staff at the City Beach store located in Logan Hyperdome. This incident occurred on 27 December 2025 at approximately 2:00 pm. The manager involved was Ocear.
During our visit, my partner calmly mentioned that an item appeared to be marked at an incorrect price. Ocear then approached and stated that my partner’s tone was rude towards her staff. I advised her that this was simply his normal speaking voice and that he had not been rude or aggressive.
Following this, Ocear became rude towards me. I explained that there was no need to speak to customers in that manner; however, she continued to argue with me and escalate the situation. She then accused me of swearing and being rude, which is untrue. At no point did I swear at her. The only person swearing during this interaction was Ocear herself.
Ocear then told me to “get out of the f**king store,” stating that there were children present. This was extremely inappropriate, particularly given that she was the one using offensive language. Additionally, two other young female staff members also behaved rudely, swearing and repeatedly telling me to get out of the store.
The behaviour displayed by Ocear and the staff involved was aggressive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. We were made to feel embarrassed, uncomfortable, and unfairly accused, despite remaining calm throughout the interaction.
As customers, we expect to be treated with basic respect and professionalism. This experience was extremely disappointing and does not reflect acceptable customer service standards. I believe this matter requires serious review.

The queues are ridiculous. …
I have no problem with City Beaches products or the staff but what I do have a massive issue with is the ridiculous queues in both their Greenhills and Charlestown stores. Not just Christmas and sales but any weekend day the wait times are ridiculous. I once waited 40 minutes on a normal Saturday and they didn’t even have all the tills open. This isn’t an isolated incident, so much so that I just don’t bother shopping in store anymore. I have a disability and am unable to stand in a queue that long and nor should I have to. Speak to other people queueing and they all same the same thing. It’s a shame as I do like their stuff but no item is worth that kind of wait and non of the other stores seem to have that problem. Have more tills built in store and do better for your customers otherwise like me you will lose your business to other stores that manage the queues a lot better.

Have shopped via website for many years…
Have shopped via website for many years with no issue until very recently. Mistakes happen, I get that but the customer service response was disgusting in my opinion. I ordered a size 14 top for a xmas present - a size 4 was sent. I emailed immediately and yes I got a quick response. I had sent a photo of my original order and the goods received. They had sold out of size 14, no issue that happens. I had to ask how to return the wrongly sent item with no cost - as prior returns they have reduced my refund by $10 but this was their mistake not mine. This was resolved, however despite them offering immediate refunds, my refund was refused until receipt and examination of the incorrect item they had sent - their mistake with no acknowledgement that I needed to go elsewhere to replace. I was told by one of their staff that they DONT offer immediate refunds - not true! I was told by another that they were following their usual process and dont offer immediate refunds but in this instance if I sent receipt of return they would make an exception and process refund once evidence was sighted. Again not true - I ordered a top only a week earlier which when arrived was to small and guess what I got an immediate refund (only 1 week prior to the current debacle) and that was the day before I went to the post office to return the goods. I am done! Sadly the lack of care and platitude response consisting of untruth is not ok - as I said mistakes happen - all they had to do from my initial email was to offer me free return postage and immediate refund as soon as they realised they could not fulfill the order!

False Advertising & Painful Customer Service
Have ordered some converse shoes which are advertised as 21.5cm in length, arrived with 21.5cm on the box, also has 21.5cm stitched into the shoe label but the shoes are infact 25cm in length, far too big for my young daughter. Customer service has been long-winded, frustrating (to say the least) and ultimately unsuccessful in a fair outcome. I would suggest City Beach work on the thought "if we make it too hard, they'll give up".
Also, potentially doing something fraudulent with invoicing. I purchased this item as 50% off which is what is shown on my receipt, but internally they have recorded my entire sale as 19.6% discount rather than 50% off one item - another point of argument and frustration contributing to the lack of a resolution here.

Not Happy Jan.
Not Happy Jan.
Ordered a click and collect for the next day. Picked products that were “instore”
They should go first thing and pick the order, but nope. Next day at 3pm I get an email saying they don’t have my item. I can get a refund or wait two weeks to receive from Brisbane store.
Meaning it will not arrive for Xmas. They obviously sold my shirt today !!
Not even offered express post.
Devo.

City beach Ocean Keys and Joondalup…
City beach Ocean Keys and Joondalup stores I really like the clothes at City Beach and will continue shopping here, as the styles are great and the stores have so much potential. However, the customer service still falls short. At times, staff are inattentive long waits at the counter while they chat among themselves are frustrating.
A simple greeting when someone walks in or asking if they need help would go a long way. With more focus on friendliness and service, these stores could truly match the quality of their clothes

Not a true buy one get one promo
Buy one get one promo is not calculated off the same products, so the expected discount wasn't given. It's in the T&Cs. So beware, such a dodgy practice! So if you buy 2 x $50 items and 2 x $10 items, it makes the 2 cheaper items $5 off each, so $10 discount. Not $30.
Trying to return for exchange of size…
Trying to return for exchange of size as advertised they are happy to do. Return process won't work. Tried all different ways leaving me having to pay more. Tried the customer service also completely useless.
Really disappointed, they won't listen to any customers.

Excellent all round experiences
Honestly, I've shopped at City Beach's website - I'm in New Zealand, they're in Australia (duh!) - and never had an issue. Super fast delivery, always exactly what you ordered and paid for, and such good value for money. Hope they keep going from strength to strength well into the future! Thanks guys and gals at City Beach.
Masterclass in how not to package items
Well, I always dreamed of getting a free “how not to pack garments” masterclass in the mail—and today, my dream came true.
Two of the seven items I ordered were just scrunched up and shoved into the package as an after-thought. One looked like it had been taken straight off someone in the store, zipper left undone, and one strap was stuck to the adhesive parcel seal. Because careful packaging is apparently optional, and who doesn’t love sticky residue on a brand-new item of clothing?
Receiving new(?) clothes like this is appalling, especially when spending nearly $400. I expected far better, and it will be a long time before you convince me to shop with you again.

Incompetent and service is teets
For NZ customers the tracking tool is outdated and terrible and doesn't ever update on the package location.
They also print labels with errors in the delivery address so the poor couriers are left chasing up customers to find the correct address because those in dispatch are incompetent and not checking the label against the order.
My street number, City and postcode wasn't printed on the label but was correct on the confirmation email.
The points system they use for returning customers is useless as it comes up with an error every time so is pointless and unrewarding for those that spend good money.
I liked their website because it has everything there, but now I will go elsewhere as this just shows incompetence and we all have better options to go to in 2025 city beach 👎

Fix your website!
I love City Beach but their website is rubbish! The Shopping Assistant automatically pops up on the side constantly and is super glitchy so it gets stuck there. The amount of times I've tried to shop and can't access my cart because the shopping assistant is stuck! Please fix this. I have 3 teenagers and honestly I usually spend hundreds per shop with you but I've been going elsewhere as this shopping assistant pop up is driving me crazy! Even if I click out and refresh the page, it pops up! Please fix it and I'll happily delete this review. Nothing wrong with my computer either. Get rid of it!

Terrible company
Terrible company. They sent me a pair of shoes that I wore twice and they broke. I have been trying to get a response to my request for a refund for the last month. They do not respond. Should be reported.

Shirt smelt like urine and would not be replaced
I ordered a shirt from here. I opened it up out of the packet and took the tags off to wear (I already knew it would fit from trying it on in another store). After putting it on I realised it stank like urine. I contacted customer service immediately after but was advised as the tags had been removed and it been about 2/3 weeks since delivery that nothing could be done. Very disappointing and will not be shopping again.
Love City Beach
Just received my second order from Australia to the UK. Super fast delivery of items that are pretty much currently unavailable in the UK. No customs issues. Really impressed. Thanks guys.🤙
Very very bad all over
The premises had no atmosphere , there were no toilet available for patratrons on site. There was no smoking area and the steak meal was no that cheap over all . Really bad experience over all and I would never speak or recommend anyone to go to the Beach Place 👎👎👎
