Highly 100% recommend! They're professional, great communicators and a pleasure to deal with. Most importantly, they're not contractors. Having gone with a company, who I see across london, for our side return, I learnt the hard way about this. The fact that you just deal directly with Paul and Dangis, and they take responsibility, is so much better. No messing around, you pay them for the whole project and they deliver. The project was on schedule, on budget, and delivered to a high level.

Absolute professionals is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Clapham Construction service. And there are two further things you need to know about them: they are brilliant at what they do and they are generous in spirit.

Throughout our project Paul and Dangis answered our naive questions with warmth and care. They helped guide us at every turn, and almost certainly saved us money by making sure we considered all the options we had before making key decisions. But not just customer care, the building work is also top notch. The build itself was a well oiled process, coordinated with skill.

I was initially worried about getting an anonymous loft company I'd never heard of in (after getting 8 different quotes from a variety of places including famous local ones) and being part of the 'box on the roof' brigade. Yet somehow, they have created build magic with some tweaks on 'a little bit of height' here, and 'a little configuration' there. We keep marvelling at the sturdiness and smoothness of the physical build even now, and the army of highly skilled teams they have were a pleasure to host in the house while we worked from home.

And finally the most important bit - the money stuff- our Loft extension (including bathroom) was completed on time and more or less on budget. The additional costs were the unforseen - (yikes a victorian chimney needs dismantling!) and a few flourishes that we ourselves added to the mix - (can the door handles be gold?). Any additional build costs were communicated efficiently and immediately.

Our experience of Clapham Construction is that they are patient, hugely knowledgable, and detail orientated with a wealth of incredible advice. Don't delay on getting them on your project!

Clapham construction carried out major building work on our Victorian house in central London — all during the uncertainty of various lockdown periods. We had three major works carried out consecutively: first a loft conversion (a large bedroom with a separate bathroom), then a new first floor shower/utility room; and finally an extension and open plan kitchen-diner. We were really pleased with the results, they exceeded our expectations. Paul and Dangis worked with us at every stage of the works: from giving advice in the planning/ design stage(this was invaluable), helping us with all the documentation and formalities, and making sure everything stayed on track. The builders they employ were all really hard-working, professional and we felt that we could trust the company and its tradesmen to work together with us, and that we were “in good hands.” People have commented since on how impressive the building work looks! We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them whatsoever.

Building a loft conversion is a big job, and we did a lot of research before selecting Paul, Dangis and the team at Clapham Construction. Looking back, we made absolutely the right choice: Friendly, helpful and above all extremely knowledgeable, the team did a fabulous job from start to finish. When we faced the odd (inevitable) small snag, such as the need for a new water tank, they talked us though the possible solutions and were accommodating to our needs. Clapham Construction completed an attic conversion for us earlier this Summer. We were v happy with the whole process and the final result. Good communication throughout and having a fixed cost agremment made it easier for us to keep to our budget.

Clapham Construction were extremely helpful and responsive throughout the build and the results were fantastic. The vaulted ceiling looks very dramatic and the loft feels spacious and light.

Everything was very easy from start to finish with these guys. Terms agreed up front with nothing hidden at all, communication brilliant the whole way even with a Whatsapp group with questions answered 7 days a week! The finish is of an incredibly high standard and advice & direction given when necessary was great. Couldn't recommend these guys enough and would most certainly use again if I ever required.

Choosing a building firm is a nerve-wracking decision, and we got quite a few quotes before deciding to go with Clapham - partly based on their competitive price, but also that they seemed to know what they were doing, despite being a relatively new firm. They undertook a kitchen extension for us, with a side return and rear extension to our Victorian terraced house.

The most important thing I can say is that we would make the same decision again without question. Dangis really knows his stuff and speaks from a lot of building experience, and the whole team were competent and professional. Work happened pretty much as and when they said, and there were no unexplained delays.

Some extra cost was incurred due to Building Control insisting on some adjustments, but this was not the builders' fault. Other than that, everything came in on budget. We are very happy with the work - it has given us the extra space we wanted and is executed to a good standard. The team were as considerate as they reasonably could be of our young family as we lived in the property throughout.

Of course, no build is perfect in every way, and we had a few minor issues with mixed messages getting to the electricians about what we wanted, but these really were very minor in the grand scheme.

In short I would say Clapham Construction are competitive on price and trustworthy - which for us were 2 very important factors. We therefore recommend them highly.

Clapham Construction designed, planned and carried out our upstairs double dormer extension towards the end of 2019 and we can easily say it's been THE least stressful build we've done so far. It's also been the biggest piece of work we've had done in our house which hopefully tells you something about how well organised everything was! Paul and Dangis were in contact daily and on site several times a week, checking that everything was going to plan. The work was carried out to schedule with great communication and using highly self sufficient tradesmen. You certainly won't be popping the kettle on every 5 minutes as they crack on and power through the day, making amazing progress by the end of each week. Paul and Dangis knew we were on a tight budget and did everything they could (including the purchase and delivery of tiles to us at wholesale price) to help us stick to our budget. We now have an upstairs shower room which is an absolute godsend and our son has a much larger bedroom he can grow with for many years to come. I work with Surveyors so like to think I know something about construction. I met with 8 companies prior to appointing CCS to do my loft conversion. They were by far the best people for the job. Breakdown of work and quote was clear. Work finished ahead of time, despite my opting for some extra bits along the way. Any snags were dealt with promptly. Communication was brilliant throughout and I will be using them for my next project too. Dangis, Paul & their team are on the ball with everything. From the moment we met Paul and Dangis we knew we were on to a winner! They compliment each other really well and they made us feel so at ease from the word go. Nothing has been too much trouble and their communication is unreal - they always get back to us and no matter how many times we called / text - they always had patience and a sense of humour ! But above all - we love our house! We had a loft and an extension and both have been incredibly done and on time ( if not quicker than planned) . The quality and finish is brilliant , all of the tradesman that they have working for them are excellent. We were terrified of entering into this process as we have heard such horror stories but their business is run so well that we have never had to worry ! Had a loft conversion done which we are very pleased about. Paul and Dangis are very responsive and would litteraly reply to anything almost immediately! You can make any adjustements as you go and it ensures it fits what you want/were expecting. Great thing is : everything is included in the quote so no surprises! Very well priced too: we had comparison from other companies either more expensive or similar prices but they are so nice and upfront when you meet the team that you can only chose to go with them! We engaged Clapham Construction Services to do a loft conversion in a Victorian Terraced property in Clapham. We could not be happier with the results. Paul, Dangis and the team were incredibly responsive, very efficient and highly trustworthy. The team were in constant communication with us, which was especially key as we were hardly onsite at all, sending us pictures and videos and keeping us updated with timelines. Any issues were resolved promptly and without headaches. The finish is of immaculate standard and their pricing was very competitive. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to undertake building work.

Clapham Construction were the first company to give us a quote- Although we i initially liked them and their estimate we felt we should obtain a few more from local & national companies - after this rather hairy time wasting experience we happily went back to Clapham Construction. From start to finnish we were highly satisfied with their guidance, local architect and all the trades they called in so efficiently- everything was dovetailed perfectly. We had a potentially "difficult " situation with a neighbour which they sorted tactfully and compassionately for which we were very grateful. Whilst we are retired and were on the premises throughout it was stull most useful having a Whsts App group setup for any query that arose...proved a real life saver on one occasion when all the newly fitted alarms were set off my a problem not related to the newbuild. In conclusion we are very pleased with our loft conversion plus en suite - had given the house a new dimension & was carried out relatively quickly and efficiently by very pleasant efficient tradesmen supervised by a great team. Clapham Construction Service have just finished our loft conversion in Sydenham and we were really impressed from start to finish. We initially chose them because they were competitive on price, and the results of their work have far exceeded our expectations. Their team work incredibly hard and Paul the project manager was always available via a WhatsApp group he’d set up for us so he could easily communicate, share pics etc while we were at work. They had creative solutions to a couple of minor snags and finished the build on time and budget. They made the whole process of a building project exciting and fun rather than stressful; we really couldn’t praise them highly enough.

I found these guys in ‘next door’ and search the net for reviews, asked for references and went to see some live projects. The quotes looked great the communication was fantastic, especially as I am only on London a few days a week. I thought the price was very competitive so overall..... I was dubious (too good to be true?).
No, they are! They finished my dormer in 7 weeks with some refurbishment work on the 1st floor so would have been quicker. The owners were my project managers and they were onsite with their own team daily.
I’m happy with the quality and speed and the price was as quoted until I added things.
Highly recommended specialists for busy people

We engaged Clapham Construction to build a single-storey rear extension for our mid-terrace home in Clapham under the Permitted Development Scheme, with works starting in January 2019. Prior to breaking ground, Clapham Construction performed a site visit and drew up detailed architectural drawings. We had our own internal plans for a ground floor level design and were glad to be able to discuss these in detail with Clapham’s architects to ensure that there would be no conflict with the basic structural design.

Once construction began in earnest, we were impressed with how pro-active Clapham Construction’s team was with providing progress updates as well as responding to specific questions and providing useful clarifications and recommendations with respect to our interior design ambitions. Clapham Construction was particularly adept at alerting us to unanticipated building challenges that could not be foreseen at the design stage. For example, the team encountered early on a shallow gas pipeline, which was not documented in any official gas network or municipal plan. Although we were warned that this could lead to a sizable budget increase and significant delay, Clapham Construction devised a creative solution to work around the problem, ensuring that only a modest cost increase was incurred and a relatively short extension to the schedule.

Despite some delays in receiving materials from third party suppliers, Clapham Construction was able to waterproof the building site and complete its portion of the works ahead of schedule. The firm used professional and responsive plasterers, plumbers, and electricians, who were happy to meet us on-site and explain their scope of work, while checking carefully to see that they understood our interior design plans.

We are very satisfied with Clapham Construction’s final product and would unreservedly recommend the firm to potential customers considering a home extension or similar project. In our view, Clapham Construction does quality work at a reasonable cost, and, importantly, keeps its clients fully apprised of its progress and unexpected challenges encountered along the way.

About to complete our loft conversion in Battersea, I work away from the UK and need a company to take over the entire project and manage it remotely for us.
I got around 7 quotes for the works, but these guys were the only ones who came as owners of the business, who promised to manage the project directly, guaranteed not to sub contract the work out and who provided straight and honest answers to our questions, even the stupid ones.
We are very impressed and the price was very competitive. Don’t waste your time with other glossy propositions. Give these guys a call, we already recommended them to our neighbours and they have started and nearly finished their loft as well. They are also very happy. Thanks guys.
