I have had my Mercedes serviced at the Dartford branch for 8 years now and every year I have the car serviced and get a sensible conversation/advice on the level needed (not always the top one, they have talked me down in level in the past).

Trust is paramount to me and switched here after a very bad experience with another provider locally who made issues up in the MOT then tried to overcharge me.

To illustrate. I recently changed my car so went for the top service and when I collected the price had been discounted because an element couldn't be performed as my car didn't have that type of engine. I wouldn't have known so would have paid the bill

I also recently had an issue with a sensor and they were so accommodating in taking the car in, diagnosing and fixing, quicker than expected which I was delighted with. They then showed me the issue and the failed part which wasn't necessary but reassuring nonetheless

I would highly recommend these guys

Paid £384 for a “platinum” service. Two days later the car warned that the windscreen washer fluid was low — the reservoir was almost empty. This is a basic under-bonnet check I would expect to be completed as part of a full service.

When I queried this, I was unimpressed with the response and was repeatedly referred to as “matey” on the phone, which I found unprofessional.

I also note that the car was not washed or cleaned, despite some online reviews suggesting this may be included, so don’t expect that as part of a full service.

I won’t be using them again.

Claremont motor engineers Dartford Without prejudice communication. Reference: 19th July invoice. I am bringing a case against Claremont motor engineers ltd for misleading advertising on pricing (excessive pricing) overcharging on parts £1000 plus and doing work on vehicles that don't need to be done £1500 plus. Anyone wishing to join this group action please leave contact email. I will be posting on Facebook also. Claremont had good reviews 4, 5 and 6 years ago. I did leave a positive review in 2021 when first visited but when you gave me substandard service I removed the review. Your invoice from Iveco when you ordered the parts will show that you marked the parts prices up by £1200. Your report will show that you carried out work that did not need to be done going against our conversation that you would only do work that needed to be done. I will publish your report for people to see and they can make up their own minds. Please get in touch if you have had a similar experience?
