Scammers
I used the Photo Booth , it took my money via Apple Pay but didn’t deliver the pictures . I contacted the number (which didn’t exist ) . Then went online and emailed the head office , I sent screen shots of the error message , screen shot of the payment made and asked for a refund . I was told a case had been opened , they emailed again and had found my payment, I’d be refunded within four working days .
Well guess what ? Five emails later , six apologies from clear hill and … I STILL DONT HAVE MY €10 BACK ! Lie after lie . I have all the emails and will now be taking this to the ombudsman , as they are UK based .
Lying scammers who cannot be allowed to continue in the business of ripping off the innocent . Doesn’t matter if it’s €10 or €1 . They are stealing our money .
Avoid , avoid avoid .

After I used one of their booths for my passport not only was the photo extremely poor quality , it didn’t even give me a download code , imagine that , spent a tenner(which is overpriced) and didn’t receive the only thing I need , I am just absolutely fuming , completely wasted my time and money , You need to respond to my emails and atleast give me my refund , or I will be escalating… not impressed.
Absolutely none of the phone numbers featured on your website even work , just a terrible company and the lack of communication is shocking

Review of Lisnagelvin booth, Derry/Londonderry whatever you want to call it, and online services: Paid one of the booths to take passport style photo for my husband. The booth seat was broken and he had to squat. It is incredibly dark and you cant see portions of his face. I thought maybe when I went to download the pics theyd be better but BEHOLD, you cant dowload them cuz there's an error code. Wtf is up with this nonsense and looking at ALL these reviews, youre well aware yet keep taking money. Reporting to trading standards.
Addition: already sent 2 emails. So no Jake, youre not happy to give me a refund.

Following having my images taken in front of one of your photobooths, I was initially dissatisfied with the quality of the camera, the photos and the lighting. Furthermore the seat in the photobooth was broken and faulty. Considering your images are supposed to meet passport requirements, after following the instructions on the machine and posing as suggested - the images are not suitable for renewing my passport as they do not contain my upper body/shoulders. The image is already cropped. Furthermore upon trying to even download the images, it would not open as it says the file is empty. I cannot even view the images online or attempt to use them. This was a useless service and I will not be using your photobooths again. I have requested a refund via email.

Used photobooth in Tesco shopping centre Portlaoise today at cost of €10 for the purpose of renewing Irish passport. Clearhill photos booth are not listed under the photobooth option on passportonline website so had to use the provided code to download photo and it was extremely poor quality of extremely low resolution, it was refused by passport online.
Jake, many Thanks for your reply, i contacted your customer support who were extremely helpful and promptly gave me a full refund.

Got a photo taken at a booth in NI for a driving licence renewal. I was just going through the online renewal process and the photo taken is not acceptable as the filesize is too small - minimum needs to be 50Kb but the Clearhill one is less than
43Kb.
Don't advertise suitability if it isn't!
Since posting the above review, Clearhill have been in touch & have refunded the payment I made. It seems there may have been a fault with the booth. I have amended my rating due to their customer service. I give credit where it is due.

I was at the booth and it took the 9 euro and didn't even print out a print out and picture and said it was out of order. Never ever use these machines. A waste of money and scams you

Picture came out fine and Icao approved, downloaded the picture from there website and the file size is tiny and picture quality severely reduced , the picture quality is like from a Nokia 3310 , anyway my picture was rejected for online passport renewal

I went to the device I saw in cameron toll shopping centre in Edinburgh as I needed it urgently. I took a photo but at the last minute it said it was out of use when everything was going normally. That cost me £9! I want my money back!

I am unable to download the photo via de code printed. I keep getting an error-4. I have tried different computers and mobiles, all the same.

I had my photo rejected by my passport application. Waste of £9

Deserves 0 stars.
First machine I went to in Republic of Ireland was broken. I managed to find another machine. Took my passport photo charged 8euro.
The signs in the booth had info on applying for a UK passport. Weird as that is a completely different country.
Return home to do my Irish Passport renewal and find the code provided doesn't work with the Irish Passport website.
Not to worry, I'll go to Clearhill Website and download my copy.
The cowboy cheapskates have not paid their website developers or subscription for their Captcha and the site will not load or allow me to obtain the copy of my photo.

Paid £6 for passport photos with a code. But the code is not compatible for UK passport upload. I downloaded the photo onto my laptop from Clearhill direct and uploaded manually, but it was rejected as the image resolution is too small for the UK passport, so I resized and reuploaded, but it was still rejected as the lighting was bad quality. Therefore Clearview photos are in no way suited for passports as they advertise they are.
Absolute rubbish, got photo okay but the code isn't compatible with that required for online UK passport renewal. Emailed company but email bounced back saying email address invalid. Stay clear of their photo booths.
Rubbish photo and won't upload to cloud.I sent an Email to them for a refund but email address was void.
Who gives them a licence to site these useless machines
