Going with Clinicana for my hair transplant was by far a smart choice. One year later and I couldn't be happier with the results that have gotten me many compliments. Ms. Ecem has been my guide at Clinicana from beginning to end. She is truly incredible! Highly professional just like all others Clinicana medical professionals and technicians who were part of this journey.

I have recently undergone a hair transplant at Clinicana and I must say that my expectations were exceeded in every way. I am confident that this satisfaction will be reflected in the final result.

This is my 2nd hair transplant procedure. The first time I did it was 4 years ago with a different clinic, and this time was with clinicana. Big difference between the 2 clinics. My coordinator Ms. Ecem was very knowledgeable and more importantly was very kind during the whole process. I’m from America and there is an 8 hour time difference, however she was able to answer all my questions and concerns to make sure this time around would be better. In the middle of January, I finally decided to go ahead with a hair transplant after thinking about it for years. I started researching clinics online, looking for one that suited my budget and felt right for me. That is when I came across Clinicana.

I sent an enquiry and, within the same day, Ecem, my first point of contact, responded with a wealth of helpful information. She shared real patient photos, detailed documents explaining the procedure, and useful YouTube videos. Everything was clear, transparent, and reassuring. Before I knew it, we had booked a date. Something I had been thinking about for years was finally happening.

As the date approached, I continued to receive regular information and guidance, which really helped calm my nerves.

On the 1st of March, I arrived in Istanbul and was picked up by my driver at the designated meeting point. I was first taken to the hospital for a quick blood test and then transferred to the hotel for a good night’s rest before the operation.

Day of the Operation

The next morning, I had breakfast and took the complimentary shuttle to the hospital, which was conveniently located just around the corner. This was very helpful when you are in a new city and unfamiliar with the area.

When I arrived, I finally met Ecem in person. She was just as lovely as she had been over email, calm, professional, and incredibly reassuring. She explained everything clearly and in detail before I went into consultation. During the consultation, we discussed the best hairline design for me, and they carefully drew it on so I could see how it would look.

Shortly after, I was taken into the operating room.

I will be honest, the local anaesthetic injections were uncomfortable and slightly painful, but this only lasted around five minutes. After that, the rest of the six hour procedure was surprisingly easy. I did not feel a thing and was so relaxed that I even managed to have a two hour nap during the operation.

Halfway through, they gave me a lunch break which was exactly what I needed. It consisted of a cheese sandwich, soup and bread. After several hours in the chair, it really helped recharge me before continuing.

Once the procedure was finished, they carefully bandaged my head and even gave me a chocolate roll, which was a nice touch. Ecem came down personally to check on me and helped me back onto the shuttle bus to return to the hotel. That level of care really stood out.

Before leaving the clinic, I was provided with five different medications. Each one was clearly explained so I understood exactly what it was for and how to take it. I was also given a neck pillow, which is essential for sleeping upright during the first few nights.

Back at the hotel, I had a long nap until dinner time. I then went down to the restaurant for some food. One important thing to mention is that the hotel did not clearly state that the evening meal was chargeable. I specifically asked whether dinner was included in the price and was told yes. At the end of the meal, I was presented with a bill. When I questioned this, they said they had not understood my original question. So I would advise future patients to double check exactly what is included, as the food prices are quite high once you are there.

Sleeping that night was slightly uncomfortable due to having to stay upright, but after settling in I managed around four hours of sleep, which felt like a win.

The day after the operation, I returned to the clinic for the first wash. The team showed me exactly how to wash my hair properly and explained how to continue doing it myself at home. Post operation photos were taken, followed by a final consultation to go through everything once more.

After that, I returned to the hotel ready for my transfer back to the airport. It is worth noting that the airport transfer is not private. You travel with other patients who are also heading to the airport, which is absolutely fine, but helpful to know in advance.

Final Thoughts

Overall, my experience with Clinicana has been very positive. From the first enquiry to the post operation care, everything was organised, professional, and reassuring. The medical team were experienced, the communication was excellent, and I felt supported throughout the entire journey.

Aside from the minor confusion regarding the hotel dinner, which I would simply advise others to clarify in advance, I cannot fault the clinic itself. Now it is time to trust the process and look forward to seeing the results over the coming months.

If you are considering a hair transplant and feel nervous about taking the first step, I can honestly say the team at Clinicana made the experience far easier than I expected.

The only part of the experience that was difficult for me was the scalp anesthesia injections, which were quite painful and honestly a bit scary at the moment. I understand that this step is necessary for the procedure, but if there is any way the clinic could further improve or make this part more comfortable for patients, it would make the experience even better.

Overall, I’m very happy that I chose Clinicana and I would recommend them to anyone considering a hair transplant.

I want to share my experience with Clinicana in Istanbul because I genuinely felt looked after from start to finish.

From the initial consultation with Fatih, he played a big role in why I chose this clinic. Obviously it is a sales process, but I never felt like he was pushy at all. He gave me time to process everything and explained things in much more detail than any of the other clinics I had consultations with. That made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision.

I did my blood tests on the Sunday, and on the day of the surgery everything ran very smoothly and quickly. I met with the doctor, we discussed and designed the hairline, and although I wanted it slightly lower, he advised going a bit further back so he could cover more area and give better density. I trusted his judgement on that.

I was honestly terrified about the anaesthetic injections because everyone says they are very painful and I am like a kid with these things. But I can say it was only a bit uncomfortable and definitely manageable. It was not as painful as I expected. They then gave me Xanax, which helped me relax so much that I slept through a big part of the operation, which lasted about six hours.

The operation itself went really smoothly and I didn’t feel anything. After the surgery everything was fine as well. Apart from a little bit of bleeding at the back, I didn’t have any issues. I had the procedure yesterday, and today I went back in the morning for the wash and check and everything was fine. I then flew back to London the same day with no problems.

Overall I highly recommend Clinicana. Everyone was professional, organised and really supportive the whole way through. The price was also very competitive for the level of care. And a special mention to Fatih who has been an absolute star throughout the entire process.

The experience with clinicana was awesome. Especially the support of my personal contact person Ecem was perfect and she always responded very quickly. Starting from the organised transport from airport till the way back to the airport everything was well organised (hotel,etc.) and i always felt comfortable. I got 3700 grafts transplanted and the team in the clinic was very professional.

Company is honest with upfront flat pricing and the entire process was streamlined with easy to follow instructions of what to do prior and care after. Our contact Ecem answered all our questions promptly. The procedure took a little more than six hours and although I needed more grafts than expected, there was no extra charge.

Flying in from the U.S. we were able to stay at least a week longer which I recommend after the procedure to enjoy all the amazing sites and food.

Everything was excellent—from airport pickup and hotel accommodations to the doctor consultations, hair transplant surgery, detailed post-surgery guidance, airport drop-off, and continuous follow-up until I safely reached home.

Progress after 9 months:
I am very happy with the progress after 9 months 😊, hair in the crown area is growing, bit thin but improving on a daily basis 😊 hopefully would be fully covered and denser very soon.

Progress after 12 months:
Improvement journey continues, after 12 months hair in the crown area has started to thicken, unless standing under bright light/sun head appears to be fully covered 😊. Hopefully the improvement would continue and crown is fully covered and denser very soon.

I am writing this just shy of four months post my hair transplant, having chosen the 'Premium' package and having had 3,500 grafts.

Overall, the experience has been very good from the beginning. I was recommended Clinicana by someone I know who had visited and I am glad to have followed his recommendation. My contact there, Chinara, has been really friendly, attentive, and responsive to all my questions.

The process started with WhatsApp conversations, and then once I had booked my flights everything was confirmed. When I arrived in Istanbul, I went to the dedicated meeting point and was driven to the hospital for the initial blood test (which you also get sent the results of). Then it was to the hotel which was really good quality (the breakfast buffet is decent!), and all the staff there know exactly how the process all works - and you can expect to see plenty of other people with bandages on the back of their heads!

The next day was the initial consultation and the hairline is decided upon, but I was glad that they encourage a 'natural' hairline as I have seen plenty of other places will do a Lego-style straight line across your forehead. After this I had an afternoon to explore a bit of the city ahead of the big day.

The surgery day itself was all pretty straightforward, though I can't deny there were some nerves. The worst part of the procedure is the injection of the anaesthetic! My only complaint would relate to this, as I had to ask the technicians to inject a bit more anaesthetic as it hadn't reached a couple of spots in my donor area, but it was quickly rectified. I would say I was in the chair for between 6-7 hours, which included a break midway for some food and drink which is brought to you, and a visit from the doctor to check on you and that everything is going as expected. The aftercare is really clearly explained to you, with recommendations on products and timelines, and has all been accurate so far.

The next couple of weeks are the hardest as you deal with the swelling reducing and not being able to sleep properly! But I'm now at the stage where the growth is really starting to show and I don't always feel the need to wear a hat out anymore. I'm quite impatient but am excited for the next few weeks as it really starts to kick in.

Ultimately, I have no regrets choosing Clinicana and if I decide to have another hair transplant for a different part of my head in the future I will definitely go back to them first.

Just got back from Turkey, had 2700 grafts on the hairline, obviously too early to comment on end result but really felt like I needed to write about the experience so far.
First off everything Clinicana promised on their website is true and accurate, nothing misleading or oversold at all. They are upfront about everything they can and can’t do. Hospital and hotel were both very modern and of a very high standard. The procedure itself was well planned and executed and I felt comfortable throughout. The nurses, doctors and hospital staff were brilliant.
However the best part of the whole experience was my personal guide Ecem. She was the first person to respond to my query on the website and remained my point of contact from booking in, arriving in Turkey, throughout my stay and has even been responding to my queries about the recovery phase since. If your like me and undecided about a clinic choose Clinicana but also ask to have Ecem as your contact (English and Turkish speaking). P.s this review isn’t incentivised in any way.

Overall, it was a great experience from airport pickup to final drop-off. The doctors were knowledgeable and advised a practical, natural-looking hairline rather than something that would obviously look like a transplant.

What stood out most was the clinical coordinator, Fatih. He guided me step by step through the entire process and consistently checked in throughout the day to make sure I was taking my medication and feeling okay.

The post-procedure instructions are very detailed, if you have a question, the answer is usually already covered in the materials they provide.
