We were looking forward to a stay at…

We were looking forward to a stay at Camping Due Laghi, but unfortunately the accommodation did not live up to expectations - especially in terms of maintenance and safety.

In several places there were clear signs of temporary and unfinished repairs. For example, duct tape was used in several places as a “solution”, which doesn't give a good impression of the standard of maintenance of the site. The terrace was also poorly constructed, making it impossible to use the door lock.

The cooker hood in the kitchen was missing its grille and a large hole in a door was patched very sloppily. This seemed unprofessional and gave the impression that they had simply tried to hide the problem rather than fix it properly. The ceiling light also contained different types of bulbs with different colour temperatures (kelvin), which created a strange and unpleasant light in the room.

Unfortunately, safety was not top notch either - there was no smoke/gas alarm. In addition, the downpipe from the gutter was not fixed. Finally, the closing mechanism for one of the rooms was not working, which also caused inconvenience during the stay.

All in all, it was clear that the accommodation was in need of thorough maintenance. The campsite may have potential, but the standard of our accommodation was not acceptable.
