I am one of the victim of the marketing…

I am one of the victim of the marketing campaign run by Club Mahindra and got ripped off with my initial payment despite I raised discrepancy during the verification call!!

Membership No.3035322

Initial Deposit : Rs.55,516/-

Subsequent payment withdrawn from credit card despite raising discrepancy during verification call : Rs.14,160/-

It's been more than a year now, the marketing executive and marketing manager both from Chennai office and the back office team from Mumbai have all washed their hands off with petty reasons!!

I trusted Mahindra Brand and paid the initial amount based on the offers given by the marketing team during their campaign at Coimbatore in Mar 2024. I realised later on that the marketing team from Chennai had made bogus offer just to lure me into the membership which was refused later on by the company!! However, on top of the disappointment the mental agony is that for the past 1 year, they refusing to refund my initial deposit and subsequent deduction from my credit account totally Rs.69.190/- The marketing team and the back office both are not responding to my calls and mails so far.

This is absolutely not acceptable and the Mahindra group should come forward to take action on those marketing staff for having made false commitments and refund the full amount without any further delay!!

TitleClub Mahindra Membership is Misleading

Title: Club Mahindra Membership is Misleading – No Refund Even After ₹2.47 Lakh Paid!

Complaint:

I enrolled with Club Mahindra under Membership No. 3028588 after their sales agent convinced me with several verbal promises:

First-year ASF would be waived.

Cancellation was possible anytime with refund.

No hidden charges.

After paying ₹2,47,693 and realizing these promises were not true, I requested cancellation. To my shock, I was told no refund is applicable. They now refer to fine print clauses that were never properly shared or signed transparently.

This is a clear case of consumer deception. I urge consumer protection agencies to look into this practice, and I strongly warn other families and individuals: DO NOT fall into this trap.

Extremely Poor Service

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Club Mahindra and would strongly advise others to avoid purchasing their holiday memberships.

I had taken the membership with the intention of enjoying quality family holidays with my elderly parents and young daughter. However, due to unavoidable family health emergencies, including my daughter being hospitalized with pneumonia just before a scheduled trip in April, I was forced to cancel the booking. I immediately provided valid medical documents and requested support — not for cancellation due to personal preference, but due to a genuine and documented medical emergency.

Despite multiple follow-ups over email and phone, Club Mahindra took over a month to refund the points, and only after several escalations. By the time the points were refunded, my membership was already about to expire, and no suitable resorts were available for booking on such short notice.

I requested a reasonable extension of 6–9 months, which was denied without empathy or practical consideration. They simply followed rigid policy without taking into account the gravity of the situation — and the refund ended up being of no use to me.

What’s worse, this wasn’t the first time I faced difficulties. Over the duration of my membership, I couldn’t fully utilize the plan due to recurring health issues in the family, and each time, Club Mahindra failed to support with flexibility.

Their resorts are hardly available during peak periods, customer care is unresponsive when you need them most, and their entire business model seems focused on advance money collection without delivering actual value.

It’s deeply disappointing that a brand of this stature can be so inflexible, insensitive, and profit-driven when it comes to real-life customer problems. This is a case of unfair trade practice, and I have already initiated a complaint with consumer protection authorities.

Club Mahindra failed me and my family when we needed support the most. I strongly discourage anyone from investing in their services.

Club Mahindra membership

I joined Club Mahindra membership over 10 years ago and have referred many of my friends and colleagues. Unfortunately, they also joined and everyone now regrets their decision.

It is not at all worth joining just to get 7 days of holidays per year. We paid approximately INR 5 lakhs, and if we calculate the annual return from any average safe mutual fund at 15%, we would get INR 75,000. In Club Mahindra, they charge an annual maintenance fee of INR 21,000. This means it costs us INR 75,000 + 21,000 = 96,000 per year. For this amount, we can easily stay at any 5-star resort anywhere in India, and our principal amount of INR 5 lakhs remains safe.

Recently, they started charging delay fees for annual membership payments on a monthly basis, which is really painful for members. In addition, we never get rooms whenever we require and end up staying only when rooms are available.

I am an NRE based in Abu Dhabi, and joining Club Mahindra has been one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

Should you buy club Mahindra membership?? THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU 🤷‍♀️

As a Club Mahindra member, I have personally experienced several disappointments that I feel compelled to share. Firstly, the initial membership cost is extremely high, and to make matters worse, annual maintenance fees have to be paid every year whether or not you use the membership. If you miss paying these maintenance fees, you aren’t even allowed to use the days already available in your account, even though those days are fully paid for. It feels very unfair and restrictive.

Booking holidays is another major hassle. Trying to get a room, especially during peak seasons, is next to impossible because availability is extremely limited. Despite being a member, you end up feeling like you’re at the bottom of the priority list.

There is also very little flexibility when it comes to choosing your destination or travel dates. You’re mostly stuck with the Club Mahindra resorts, and often the options available don’t match your preferences.

Another disappointment is the poor maintenance of some resorts, particularly the older ones. You expect a certain standard when you pay so much, but many places don’t meet that expectation.

Most of their resorts are located in isolated areas, leaving you with very few options for dining or activities outside the property. This makes the whole experience feel a bit trapped and repetitive.

Customer service is another major letdown. Their helpline is practically useless — rather than offering any real help or solutions, the representatives seem more interested in finding ways to extract more money from you. Every conversation feels like a sales pitch rather than genuine assistance.

The membership agreement is extremely one-sided too, making it very hard if you ever want to exit the program. There are no easy options for cancellation or refunds.

Another misleading aspect is that there’s no complimentary breakfast provided, contrary to what many people assume when hearing about the “holiday package.”

Also, be ready for hidden costs — beyond the hefty initial fee and annual charges, you’ll often end up paying extra for guest stays, meals, and various resort activities.

Finally, if you ever think of reselling your membership, be aware that it’s not easy, and worse, you will have to sell it at a much lower price, suffering a heavy loss.

Overall, my experience has been extremely disappointing. It feels like a constant battle to get what was promised, while more and more money is demanded at every step.

Very Very Bad experience

"I also had a bad experience with Mahindra. I paid a large amount for the membership fee, only to later find out that there is an annual service fee every year. This was not explained by the salesperson. The customer service does not support customers; instead, they side with the sales team. So, please do not take this package. If you do, you can only choose their destinations and cannot go elsewhere. Additionally, the food at their resorts/hotels is very expensive.

Club Mahindra Team need to learn basic of Customer but not sure if they will do so as they have taken all money in advance and now customer is at their mercy. When u call at call centre no one is ready to help as they are well aware customer have limited option.
I am unable to do booking for Puri and Bhubneshwar for April 25 as it is not opened. When contacting Call Centre harsh reply was you can book outside club Mahindra as they are not sure will they continue with partner hotel or not. They are not ready to give any clarity.

BOOKING PROBLEMS AND SERVICES

I am Rajesh Patne member of Club Mahindra Purple membership. I got very bad experience from Club Mahindra. Whenever I tried to get booking got only in waiting list. I paid heavy membership fees and annual maintenance also. The root cause of this issue lies in Club Mahindra's aggressive membership sales strategy this has resulted in a severe shortage of availability. Club Mahindra selling their rooms in the open market, essentially prioritizing external bookings over their own members. This is unacceptable and feels like a betrayal of the trust and loyalty that members have placed in the company. Even if we compare the rooms quality and services it's very so so. I tried to contact customer service they never reply and get back.

SCAM AND CHEATING OF CLUB MAHINDRA…

I have taken a gozest-5 membership (3063971) 30 Days back in chennai and paid 30% advance amount of Rs 84500/-. Further due to my personal issues & after knowing about their scam, I have asked for Cancellation & Refund

I had my initial discussion and filled forms on 01.02.2025 and I have paid 30% of Total Amount of 2.95 Lakhs i.e Rs.84540 /- for the Membership Card .

Club Mahindra did not give a single document / paper either directly or through my registered mail about Membership Card or Membership Number or Enrollment till 19 days.
Only on 19.02.2025 , I have received their Membership Card with Number.

I have asked for my Cancellation within 10 days I.e on 01.03.25

After follow up here and there finally they have asked me to contact a remote team in mumbai. I lost 5 days due to the same. I had sent a mail on 05.03.25 I.e on 14 th day of issuance of a Membership Number.

As per their Policy , for cancellation and refund is within 15 days of receipt of a Membership which also I could not be aware as there is no document provided from their end.

Now they are interpreting and saying that i need to approach them within 15 days of enrollment which they say made on 01.02.25 without providing any data/ credentials or communication of Membership Number

How a customer can apply for Cancellation without even having a Membership Number? is also not being answered by them.

All these conditions were not explained while marketing for membership.

But they are refusing to cancel my membership and refund but insisting me to pay further EMI of Rs.17,500/- which starts from April 25 for another 12 Months I.e 2.10 lakhs app more.

Alsi their other condition is that I will not allowed book any resort with them even if I dont not pay any EMI starting from April 2025 despite my initial payment of 84540/- and so it be 100% loss for me

I will be allowed to book only in April after payment of Rs.17500/ and consume all 950 Points / provided per year and use all Points within April 2025.

Next month in May again they will block / lock my membership automatically if I do not pay next EMI

If i pay further EMI of 17500 it will be 1,03, 000/- app and they will be giving 950 points for usage .

This is working out Rs.17250/- per day for 6 days and I am forced to use within 1 month which is totally a waste for me.

Also they charge extra money per day @ resort ranging from Rs.1000/ to Rs.2000/- citing other reasons.

Now I lost Rs.84540/- by Club Mahindra's Cheap Cheating Tactics.

But there are many ifs and buts condition in their club mahindra App which no body explains to you before

In Club Mahindra app booking opens only before 4 months and it will be showing 75% booked already in all good resorts on day 1. May be they keep it for other customers and not for card members.

You ll be limited / forced to choose within limited options and in worst maintained resorts

You need to avail 950 points in an annum for regular members only for 6 day app ( per day is 150- 175 points for a good room despite paying app 10,000/- + Charges of 2,000/- app per day @ resort

I advise people not to get into scam companies like Club mahindra where there is zero support for customers and main motive is to collect Money and later cheat customers

Even if you make 100% payment and take membership there are lots of if and buts and they will not allow it to use their good resorts as per your likes .

You can not also plan holidays within 4 months and book flight tickets as there is lot of restrictions and conditions

Might as well book a resort for Rs.10,000/- as and when we feel to travel to some good resorts instead of becoming slaves / getting locked up with Club Mahindra Membership after making app 3 lakhs payments and taking a membership and using it only for 4750 points for 5 years ( for app 30 days)

Please do not get stuck with Club Mahindra Scam.

I have lost my money of Rs. 84,540/- as Club Mahindra Cheated and i dont want to spend / waste time further in legal battle with scam companies especially when Indian Judical System does not support commoners like me.

Never got a booking when required

Never got a booking when required. They always tell to upgrade. It's purely money making business and not catering to customer need and requirement. Very very unhappy with such club. I have been a club member since 12 years and managed to get only booking thrice. Though the resorts must be good but booking and customer care is below expectation.

Worst communication by Omkar Parker

Hi
I was getting frequent calls for presentation wherein I had already explained that not interested due to financial issues still it was informed to me that at least see presentation and if you do not like you can opt out but after completion of presentation the executive connected to Mr Omkar Parker who spoke very abruptly and and said if you are not in a position to pay down payment of 50000 then why did you give appointment and said you wasted our time, which was really unprofessional and and he started instigating me and went very blunt which is not acceptable in a service industry.

I am forced by Omkar Parker to highlight this to all and would request all that never give appointment for presentation for Club Mahindra as if you agree for presentation then as per Mr Omkar Parker who stays in Charni Road Mangalwadi it is taken as a promise from client and if by any chance if you do not pay down payment then he starts humiliating client and asks questions that if you are not capable of paying down payment then why you gave appointment and why you wasted our time, which sounds like client time is not important at all.

I will never suggest any one to go for club mahindra membership till they have workers like Omkar Parker who takes client for a ride and thinks that client is not important at all.

I allowed presentation as it was informed
that if you do not like you can say NO, but Omkar Parker doesn't want to listen NO
from client as may be he is not able to
achieve his target and out of frustration he
instigates client to speak in a bad language and same happened with me.

I want his seniors to note my comments and take necessary action against Omkar Parker as till the time they will have employees like Omkar Parker, Club Mahindra which is a brand will loose its reputation and will affect company in long run.

As being from middle class family I may not be able to afford at present but might have opted in future.

But due to very rude behavior of Omkar Parker I really felt humiliated and will never opt for any holiday plans for sure.
