1 Star – Very Disappointing Service

I would not recommend this mechanic. Craig kept my car for over a week in February and charged me £2,000 for brake repairs, but the problem was not fixed properly. He told me to take the car to Vauxhall in Redditch for programming, but they informed me the repair had been done incorrectly and that a non-genuine part had been fitted.

I returned the car to him, and he kept it for over two more weeks while I repeatedly chased for updates. During this time, I spent over £1,000 on Ubers getting to work and managing daily life.

In the end, the issue was still not fixed, and I had to take the car elsewhere for proper repairs. Vauxhall advised that for the amount I paid, they would have completed the repair fully using genuine parts.

Very disappointing experience. I felt overcharged, inconvenienced, and misled. I will not use this garage again.

Stay clear

Don’t waste your time with this company lost a whole day waiting in for a recovery service to pick up my car .
Was told before 11 I phoned back and was told 11 wasn’t mentioned it is 13.37.
Finally turned up at 14.00 🥺

Do not use this company

Recovered may car on behalf of the RAC as It had a blown Turbo Charger. They delivered it with no oil in the engine. The delivery driver said he had driven it and then tried to deny it. They eventually admitted driving it against a warning note they had attached to the car and then blamed the RAC for not telling them not to drive it. They then wanted nothing to do with me and fobbed me off back to the RAC. £2500 to have the engine removed and examined for damage to be told the engine is a write off, thanks you useless bunch of lying clowns.

Great communication

Our car broke down 240 miles away from home.
The RAC gave us a rental car and CMG were charged with getting our broken down vehicle back home.
Gareth from CMG gave us great communication, he let us know exactly what was going on with the delivery of our car.

Waited forever & ignored

Ordered 1 litre of oil....as well as being over priced they took my money on the date of order- 10 days later and after all 5 emails chasing my oil did it arrive! No apology, or explain it would be delayed....just ignored and money taken straight away. Diabolical customer service. I will not be a return customer or promoting their business. Shame om you as a company

Absolute thief's stole our car

Absolute thief's stole our car within hrs of breaking down and thme charged me £350 to get my car back. They literally hold our car over ransom for the money with the threat of destroying it. Criminals will steal you cash in broad daylight and smile whilst doing it.

We used CMG to repatriate our car from…

We used CMG to repatriate our car from France after breaking down on holiday. After being let down by our breakdown cover they stepped in and arranged to collect our car and return it to our home address in the UK. They quoted us a reasonable price and were really helpful throughout what was a very stressful situation for us. From the office staff to the guy that dropped our car off, I can’t rate you highly enough. Will definitely be recommending you to others. Thanks so much!

Used following an accident where my vehicle was written off. I had an issue following that retrieving my belongings but they worked with me in a very professional manner and we arrived at a satisfactory outcome. I would highly recommend them.

Damaged my vehicle and ignore requests for compensation. Don't use

I used CMG to ship a sports car from and to England. The driver unfortunately managed to damage my vehicle whilst unloading in on it's return journey. He was very apologetic and embarrassed and filled out the appropriate damage claim form and told me contact his boss (Mark Cowan) . Mark did originally say he would get the damaged alloy repaired or replaced, but since then they have ignored repeated attempts to get them to foot the bill for the replacement. They do not return calls or emails. I have been waiting over 9 months for a response. So if they do damage your vehicle, good look with getting them to compensate you.
