Poor Quality, Unprofessional Service, and Wasted Time

I visited today around 14:15 and ordered fish bites and chips. After waiting close to 15 minutes, I was served something that was mostly fried flour with barely any fish.
As soon as I returned, the girl who served me the first time stayed hidden at the back, and another staff member came to serve me, which gives me reason to believe they knew exactly what had happened.
The girl serving me was nonchalant and argued it was fish, insisting she had made it herself. I showed her the order, and she offered to redo the order, but I opted for a refund instead. This was frustrating and a waste of my time, as I had to drive back and forth.
I have been a regular customer with no previous issues, so this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope management addresses this to prevent it from happening again.

food is great but Ana who served us was very very rude told us teh dryers were closed at 9 pm when the advertised closing time was 9:30. She explained everything had already been taken and there was one pie l ft without explaining what flavour the pie was. Just unecessarilly surely. Other staff member was fine and has been great every other time we have visited

Called in tonight

Called in tonight, cod&chips £13.. Slightly taken aback.. HOWEVER
I've got to say it was cooked to perfection, chips awesome and plentiful, short wait, greeted and served by lovely smiling lady... But please lord pray for my avarice and licking my chops and stuffing my face as I'm going back!! Thanks kr Steve 😎😎

Awful customer service

I have never been greeted by somebody with such bad personal hygiene before! I ordered my usual fishcake and chips followed by a pea fritter... The guy came over with my order and his fingers were all brown and it seriously looked like faecal stains! I refused my order and asked for it to be cooked again and handled by another server. He refused my request so I decided that I wasn't going to pay! He then started to hurl abuse at me with the 3 teeth he had left in his mouth...! Not only that but his breath stunk so bad that it was burning my eyes! So discusting and vile and I can't believe that people like that can be employed these days. I swear I have seen the same guy in the Hills have eyes movie!! Anyway i'm absolutely disgusted and I will be taking my custom elsewhere from now on!

Hi Jeff, we are based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire only. This does not sound like anyone we employ... And very horrifying 😳

Are you sure this was the correct shop?

Many thanks,
Nik

I've found it's all a bit hit and miss with these, they are the only fish and chip shop I order from, sometimes I've had a really nice meal, and other times, it's been awful, like tonight, the fish was disgusting, although everything was hot on arrival

Excellent food 6 Stars

Excellent food, beautifully prepared. I called into the Jubilee Square outlet near Aylesbury and waited for about 10 minutes which is a fair time for freshly prepared food, the fish was perfectly cooked, the batter crisp and dry, and the chips, which I am quite fussy about were also perfect. I say well done team.

We decided to use the codfather in bury…

We decided to use the codfather in bury st Edmunds. The food arrived and the mine pie was barely warm, the jumbo sausage had a piece of bone in it that I nearly cracked my tooth on and the saveloy was black inside and crunchy when I bit into it. We won’t be using again

Not good at all

Not good at all.

I know it’s been a lock down but waiting an hour and fifteen minutes for 2 fish and chips is poor poor service.

In addition the fish was tiny and my kids sausage had been deep fried to death.

This cost me nearly £30. Terrible value for money. Far cry from what it used to be.

Certainly won’t be back.
