Probate

From an efficient start, the whole process was stressful at a very difficult time.With poor communication, incorrect billing and huge expense the experience was horrible considering I myself did much of the work. It took a year to get probate because of the poor service.

Very (very) poor service. Totally unable to support a business.

Not impressed at all. Things started fairly positively in support of our business but rapidly deteriorated during 2025. Emails go weeks without a response. I sent several emails directly to the solicitor asking them to call me but got no response. I am unable to call her because she never goes to the office - on the couple of occasions she did phone, it was number withheld. I also sent emails via the website - but those were also ignored. I called the local office but was told she never comes in and they don't ever see her. In handling a litigation case for us I get emails from unnamed people in litigation. I have asked to know who in litigation is dealing with our case (a named contact) but they replied to say they would not provide this. Unbelievably poor service.

Appalling service. Stay away at all costs.

Appalling service. Stay away from this company. They have ignored all my requests for information regarding a serious financial issue in connection with an estate. I have gone through official channels via Hunters Solicitors and my requests for information continue to be ignored. This is now in the hands of the Legal Ombudsman.

Terrible Service and Poor Communication—Avoid at All Costs

Dealing with this company was a nightmare. Our case was mishandled from the start, with no one taking the time to understand what was needed, leading to delays and unanswered questions. Despite claiming to offer exceptional service, we received anything but that, even before the pandemic. The excuse of being busy due to stamp duty relief was unacceptable when we were still paying full price. One receptionist was particularly obnoxious, and the solicitor was rude, causing unnecessary delays due to his incompetence.

Avoid using

The issue I was having was never resolved, money was taken over a period of time and again the issue wasn't solved. Ended up at a serious loss with no resolve. Abrupt and difficult service. Avoid.

Avoid

If I never deal with this company again it will be to soon. Our case was passed from pillar to post even pre pandemic and no one seemed to actually read to see what was going on so work wasn’t done for weeks and no one could answer questions we had. They stated an amazing service which meant they may not be the cheapest around with their quote and we didn’t receive this once. Near the end an excuse of being super busy due to the stamp duty relief was used a lot, not our problem when we’re still paying in full for the service and to be honest we hadn’t had a change in service when the pandemic hit.

One receptionist in particular is obnoxious and extremely unhelpful, and the solicitor we had at the end was rude, quite blunt and had us running around for paperwork twice because of his lack of knowledge. 17months dealing with Coleman’s and we will never put ourselves through dealing with them again.

There’s a lot more I could say about how dissatisfied we are with Coleman’s although There is one person who I feel is worth a mention- Kate Phelan, she’s quick to respond to emails, the only person who calls back when they say they will, and seemed to be the only one who knew what was going on with our case, she was polite and professional and nothing seemed to much trouble!

A massive thank you to Colemans. Could not thank Sid for all the effort and time he put in. Calling me out of his work hours to ensure my change of parties application when smoothly even through this weird times. Would use time and time again. Again, thank you!

Fantastic!

Sid was absolutely fantastic - listened intently, gave me professional guidance with coherent explanations throughout the entire process and executed everything within the agreed timeframe. Would I go back to Colemans again? Without a shadow of a doubt: YES!

I was very impressed by the service I…

I was very impressed by the service I received from Colemans Solicitors . Sid and Natalie were very professional, helpful and efficient. They kept me up to date with the sale of my property . They also repsonded to all the correspondence from myself and the buyer immediately .
I would definitely recommend their services to anyone looking to buying or selling a property .

Great service from Sid in their…

Great service from Sid in their conveyancing department, always available on the telephone with updates, made a normal very stressful experience less stressful.
Would have no problems in recommending them.
