Pretty much the same problem as…

Pretty much the same problem as everyone else. LuxPlus lures customers in with attractive prices on certain products, signs you up to a subscription you never wanted with your purchase, charges your account, and then sends claims to this unethical company to collect on their behalf when you don’t pay.

One of the reviews here states the company is not registered, according to justis.nl, the company is now registered as of March 2025 as a collection agency.

Report and don’t pay

These guys are absolutely horrible. They call me non stop about 40 euro. They scammed me out of 20 euro already because of the misleading membership fees Luxplus has and then they said I miss the 15 days and I have to pay 40 more euro. I had already paid the 20 before seeing this website about them scamming everyone so afterward I did not pay the 40. Their email for the 15 days ended up in my spam folder which is obvious because their email clearly gets reported by all of these people they are scamming. But they said I am responsible for my own spam folder even though they are the company with 0 good reputation which is very weird. Of course it is my fault even though they are the ones sending dodgy emails and getting reported. I don’t even receive a case number properly in my emails. I reported this to the ACM and I would suggest others to do so instead of paying. Because no matter what, they are a real company and they are doing this to many more people. They say there was a clear membership message, but I only got a message about what lux plus membership has. I never got an email saying I started a reoccurring payment. Every other normal company will do that. Not these scammers though. The complaint to the ACM has already been filed and I see over here that the police are already aware of this. If they continue to harass me, I will also go to the police as well. I am a student and they want to drain me of my money by scamming? No, that’s not gonna happen.

Company with no legal means DO NOT PAY

This company does not have the legal authorization to carry out debt collection. If you google 'register-incassodienstverlening' and click on the first link and go through the list of registered debt collection agencies, you will see they are not there. Therefore they have no legal power to request any money from you. So just ignore their emails even if they threaten you with bailiffs or court, they have no legal means to do so. I would also report this company and Luxplus to the authorities as they are also violating buyers rights. The way they trap into a membership is not correct.

CollectMasters cooperate with luxplus.nl on gray scheme to con people with unwanted subscriptions. Luxplus subsribes you silently for a membership and when you cancel a subscription transaction then CollectMasters chase to pay it back.

Scam, i have called the police

I purchased products from Luxplus. To my surprise, this purchase automatically enrolled me in a subscription without my consent. During the checkout process, there was no option to opt in or out of the subscription, nor was there any clear information abut an automatic subscription. Despite this, € 8.95 was debited from my account without my authorization, which I have since reversed.

One month after this reversal, I received messages and phone calls from this disgusting company Collectmasters, acting on behalf of Luxplus, threatening legal action if I did not pay. Initially, they demanded an amount of €50, significantly higher than the original €8.95, along with threats of involving a bailiff etc.

Violation of Consumer Protection Law
Luxplus’s practices do not comply with the Dutch Consumer Protection Act, specifically regarding information and consent requirements. By law, a consumer must be clearly informed in advance about any obligations associated with a purchase, including the ability to either accept or decline a subscription. I was not given this option, nor did I provide explicit consent, rendering the imposed payment obligation invalid.

I immediately reported to the police in Culemborg and ACM.

To anyone out there suffering from the threatens made by collectmasters, please DO NOT PAY and file a complaint through police and ACM as well.

What they do is illegal and against Dutch Law.

I will take further legal actions if collectmasters continues calling or emailing me.

Do not buy anything from luxplus. Both Luxplus and collect master are scammers.

CollectMasters BV appears to be collaborating with Luxplus in what seems to be a coordinated scheme. After being misled into a Luxplus membership that I never intended to sign up for, Luxplus promptly transferred my “unpaid fees” to CollectMasters, adding an additional €40 for collections and interest, despite my efforts to cancel the membership.

Even after settling all charges, including the inflated collection fees, and having multiple conversations with CollectMasters where they initially confirmed my case was resolved, I continued to receive emails demanding payment for “unpaid monthly fees.” A month later, CollectMasters claimed I still owed one month, further exacerbating the stress and frustration.

This ongoing back-and-forth is exhausting and raises significant concerns. Luxplus continues to assert that there are unresolved balances, while CollectMasters has been inconsistent in their communication regarding the resolution of my case.

Their involvement in these deceptive practices severely undermines my trust in CollectMasters and Luxplus.

Do not buy anything from luxplus. Both Luxplus and collect master are thieves

Complicit in Luxplus's Misleading Practices

CollectMasters BV is clearly working hand in hand with Luxplus in what feels like a coordinated scam. Unbelievable

Unbelievable. Luxplus and collectmaster are proud to collect money from their so-called subscribers who are not aware of. They dont sympathized and guilty but proud of their fraud marketing instead. What i dont understand that they have the nerve to collect money without them paying back service. I ordered once and i have to pay monthly. Who has a sound mind doing it? I called collectmaster many times and corrected them as im willing to pay as im taking it as my fault not seeing it well wherever they put that tricky provision. However, luxplus sent me incorrect dates of bill statement that i missed to pay one bill. Luxplus sent me a bill later after i asked and complain the automatic incasso. After many exchanged of emails, i called. Last call, a collectmaster receptionist told me that i do not have to pay anymore means they accepted their mistake. I asked repeatedly- if i still need to pay as im willing just give me the correct bill- the collectmaster said - no not anymore. Okay that was it. But after 2 wks of peace of mind, i received again an email from collectmaster asking to pay of 50e. Hahaha belachelijk. Now I stopped talking to this mafia. I have my records of telefoon calls and screenshots of mistakes done by luxplus. So don’t play with me.

Collectmasters extort money from Luxplus customers.
I had bought an item on the Luxplus website in March 24, and later in April I found out that I had been changed € 9.95 by Luxplus two times for subscription I was not aware of. I requested refund from my bank, blocked Luxplux account in my banking app, found out how to cancel this subscription and reported this case to ECC Belgium.
Since May 2024 I have been chased by Collect Masters, who extort money from me on behalf of Luxplus.
Recently ECC Belgium contacted me to request permission to share my case with ECC Denmark, which should request to stop the debt collecting process from Luxplus side.
If this doesn't help, I will consult with ECC Belgium and probably raise another complain with a request to take this case to court (there is such an option).
If you have had the same experience with Luxplus/CollectMasters, please lodge a complaint on ECC Belgium website (or whatever European country you are from). The more complains they have the sooner these scammers will be closed.

Can someone please help me

I bought a product of lux plus and than some how got signed up for there membership.
I didn’t realise it until 8,95 got written of my bank account so i went to the site and instantly canceled it and got my money back.
But now i get emailes from collect master saying that i need to pay €50,06 and if i dont they will proceed with legal action.
