Overall excellent holiday. Tea and coffee making facilities in bedroom would help

The ski guide was very considerate of my own, and the group's skiing ability, and gave clear instructions, ensuring that this was enjoyable for all.
The restaurants, food, and accommodation were excellent.

Alex our guide made our 6 day ski safari the best. He coordinated all the transportation and sleeping accommodations plus he was fun to ski with in less than ideal snow conditions. He was able to laugh and smile with 8 strangers with varying ski abilities and personalities.

The hotel was fabulous and the transfers worked perfectly. What's not to like. The booking process was also very easy and the portal was good.

The Dolomites are purely magical, but the way this trip was put together made it truly legendary. Between the jagged limestone peaks and the lush alpine meadows, the views were constant 'pinch-me' moments.
The Heart of the Trip: Hotel Posta Zirm
I have to give a special shout-out to our stay at Hotel Posta Zirm. It wasn't just a hotel; it felt like coming home. The owner is an absolute force of nature—by the second day, she feels like everyone’s best friend and makes the entire atmosphere so welcoming.
The Food: Every meal was a culinary highlight—truly delicious and authentic.
The Spa: After a long day of hiking, the first-class spa was exactly what we needed to recharge.
If you're heading to the Dolomites, this is the only way to do it!

Hotel was very comfortable with helpful and friendly staff, a fantastic wellness centre and delicious dinners but the offer of guided snow shoeing was overpromised. Large groups of 20+ with just one guide on some days. Guide didn't wait for everyone and set off at some pace.

Since Brexit, the skiing side of Collett’s has diminished. They are no longer allowed to provide ski guides and for this holiday, our third, we did not even have a ski rep in resort or meet and greet at the airport. We missed the convivial pre-dinner drinks sessions provided in the past. On the plus side, transport is provided to and from the resorts (Arabba and Corvara) as well as a comprehensive self-guided ski programme for the week, but unless you are uber-confident with piste maps, this is no substitute for a proper personal guide or ‘group’ holiday. (For solos, couples or small groups of differing ski abilities, we would now recommend Ski Tracks, (Ski Club of GB), Club Med and/or Nielsen , although not sure latter caters for over 60s). The end of the holiday was particularly stressful. We were not told in explicit terms where to meet the coach for our departure and were left relying on other customers telling us pick up was at their hotel. I broke my wrist on the penultimate day and was in plaster and could not carry my own case/kit. The coach driver was very helpful when coach arrived, but it was a hundred yards or so down an icy road and we found the other Brits rude and pushing us out of the way to get on the coach first. (Not the type of person we’ve encountered with Collett’s in the past). We felt it was all a bit DIY and although we loved our apartment (Residenza Angelika) and the fabulous wellness centre there (included at no extra cost), we won’t be booking next year’s ski holiday through Collett’s. A shame, but the previous excellent customer interface has totally disappeared. Corvara remains a lovely, friendly, unpretentious resort in the heart of the spectacular Dolomites. It was busy this year due to the Olympics in nearby Cortina and ‘Carnivale’ starting on the Thursday and the Sella Ronda can be manic, but we found an abundance of quieter runs and no real queueing for lifts. An intermediates’ resort. Very few black runs.

Collett's organized an excellent adventure and provided outstanding support and assistance with pre-trip planning. I have some "issues" with certain aspects of the hotel and hotel transfers, however, which is why I didn't give a 5 star rating. Hotel transfer at the end of the trip was at 615a, a totally unacceptable time which negatively impacted the final day of the trip as well as the rest of our vacation as planned after the organized activities. Also, while the hotel was lovely, with excellent facilities, wonderful food, and a great staff, there were a few problems. Beds too firm. Rooms overheated with no individual room temperature controls. And the promised guided snowshoe hikes (the primary reason we signed up) were all too strenuous, with no easier options available until the next week (after our trip had ended).

The BnB we stayed at was very good: clean rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast. The hotel where we had our evening meals was excellent: great food and wines with a nice, welcoming atmosphere.

All the arrangements worked very smoothly and we had a marvellous holiday.
We enjoyed staying at La Tambra, The hotel was extremely clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We are going back at the end of February for another week as we enjoyed it so much.

Colletts excel at curating a skiing holiday. This is our 6th Collett’s holiday in the Dolomites and they choose the best hosts; both our bed and breakfast accommodation and dinner venue were incredibly welcoming. It’s also really fairly priced. Would heartily recommend

Clean friendly hotel. Good breakfast. Excellent food in hotel. No need for ski plan as we are frequent visitors. Pistes busier than usual but still very few queues and always found a great lunch. Ski hire and locker worked well so minimal ski-boot walking. We will return.
