Not sure why they removed my review?

Not sure why they removed my review?? People need to know how terrible this company is… (2023). We moved to our rented flat end of November 2020. It took us over a month just to figure out who was supplying our energy as we had no contact from anyone, low and behold it was Colorado energy (avoid at all cost). They have no phone number, so you have to contact them through homeshift, homeshift don't even have a phone number you can ring at the moment which is very unhelpful, so you then have to email which doesn't solve things as fast, as a different person replies every time. They have told us we owe them a lot of money for just 2 months and that our next bill for gas alone will be going out beginning of April, which they have only just told us, this is an extortionate amount for a small flat when we are never home, the boiler has been broken since we moved in so that has barely been on. They just want to rip you off. We just want to switch companies to a different supplier and we just can't get rid of them! Why couldn't they have just told us what we owed in the first place rather than letting the amount build up, now we are paying gas with another company but colorado apparently objected to us switching the gas, and then we get told we owe them?! They don't know what they're doing, such a headache. Never want to deal with them again. All we wanted from the start was to switch suppliers, but they forced us to stay with them as colorado never replied to us, it was only when homeshift replied that we actually got somewhere, but it's been 4 months now and we are still with a supplier we don't want to be with at all. Please just let us switch.

Avoid at any cost

Avoid at any cost. They charge what they feel like, they send the bills when they feel like. They can't have access to your smart meter but at the same time they don't accept your meter readings. Got charged 350 pounds for 1.5 months usage.

DO NOT USE THIS AWFUL COMPANY!!

DO NOT USE THIS AWFUL COMPANY!!!

I moved in to my property and was told by the letting agents that Colorado supplied elec and gas. I went to their website and submitted a request to set up my account through their online webform. This was the only way to contact them as they have no email and no phone number.

I heard nothing so after a few weeks I sent another request...and another...and another...for months, I must have sent over 10 requests and no response.

After a few months when I had still heard nothing back I tried to switch suppliers and they blocked it!

I raised a complaint with the ombudsman and suddenly, Colorado sent someone round to read my meter! I refused to let them in as this was the first time I had any contact with them and I told them it was with the ombudsman.

My complaint was that I was not their customer as they had not responded to my numberous requests to set up an account so I did not think I was liable for the bill as I had been given no chance to chose my tarrif, find out the prices, and I hadn't received any bill for over 6 months.

They then tried to bill me full whack for the six months and offered me £75 for the "oversight".

This is not an oversight, they do not have a viable business if they cannot set up customer accounts and have no way for their customers to reach them so I refuse to pay.

DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE!!!
