This was so easy and smooth to set up a business within the hour
From start to finish this was easy and done within the hour, had issues uploading my proof of address and Helen stepped right in and done it all for me.I would definetly use this again. I have no experience in setting up a company so this is the right package for begginners plus you can tweek and addon at a later date. MASSIVE CUSTOMER BANK DATA BREACH
At 2:55am this morning, COMPANIES MADE "SIMPLE" attempted to take an unauthorised payment of £98,000 from my business account. My legitimate monthly charge with them is only £11.99. Fortunately, my bank identified and blocked the transaction.
Eight hours later, I contacted them to understand what had happened. During my call at 11:00am, I was informed that they had only become aware of the issue approximately 15 minutes prior. They were unable to confirm whether this incident originated internally or externally, as yet
This raises serious concerns regarding the security of customer ID and financial data. While I was told that the 2 “separated,” they could not confirm whether ID side has the same vulnerabilities.
What I do know is there are significant vulnerabilities in their customer data protection systems.
This is not an isolated incident. Last year, Companies Made Simple took an unauthorised payment of over £100 from my account without any notification, email, phone call nothing. I only became aware of it upon reviewing my bank statement, and I had to chase them on the matter as their system never even flagged it.
Of further concern is the complete lack of organisational transparency. I spoke with the head of Customer Services, who stated he had just left a meeting discussing the matter. However, when I asked for names (for obvious accountability purposes) he played dumb and categorically told me that he does not know who heads up HR, Finance, ID, or Operations. He also stated that he does not know who the Directors of the business are (including those listed on Companies House), nor who is actively responsible for business operations for the company on a day-to-day basis at the most senior level. He refused to provide the names of any personnel within the business. This level of opacity is massively irregular and raises serious governance concerns.
I will be escalating this matter to the relevant Financial Authorities and Ombudsman due to the inadequate safeguards for customer data and lack of governance transparency.
I have been informed that affected customers will receive email communication by close of play today. I will provide a further update once this is received.

I have reviewed the errors that occurred with the formation of the company and these seem to be in relation to the email address and personal code that was inputted.
Unfortunately, we do not have sight of the personal code when they are sent out by Companies House and on this occasion, it seems Companies House rejected the incorporation due to the code or format being incorrect.
We managed to rectify this after working with you to avoid any further rejections by Companies House following their requirements for the Personal Codes back in November.
