Signed a Letter of Authority believing it was simply to obtain utility quotations. After I renewed my energy contract elsewhere, I received a call from a representative who claimed Utility Market Watch was my "account manager" because of the LOA.

The conversation quickly became confrontational when I explained I had already secured a deal through another broker. When I called back for clarification, the representative was unwilling to clearly identify himself.

Having since reviewed the LOA, it explicitly states that no contract can be entered into without my prior verbal or written consent. The attitude and behaviour I experienced fell well short of the professional service I expected.

As a result, I have cancelled the LOA and submitted a formal complaint.

Very easy, I had little to do as Danni took care of it all. No falling asleep to the t&c’s, the whole call took 4 minutes and it was all sorted and at a great price!

My first contact with Compare The Utility Market was a cold call from a member of their sales team Caleb Atkinson. I help manage 23 serviced apartments and an estate agents, so we are often called by Company's offering their services, Caleb's manner was so refreshing, there was no hard sales, just a very friendly young man who wanted to help. And can I say he has been flipping amazing. Our serviced apartments had been badly managed by a previous site manager, The utilities were a mess, different companies supplying gas and electric. A previous company had offered to help they had in fact made things worse and then ceased trading leaving me in a worse situation than before, CTUM have proved to be a very help full and professional company. They keep you informed all the time checking to make sure if there is anything else they can help you with. We are nearly coming to being totally sorted with our new utility providers thanks to the amazing team at CTUM They are now going to help with the water suppler. I have and will be recommending them to family, friends and colleagues. Just ask for Caleb and he will do his utmost to help.

I would strongly recommend this company. They recently contacted ourselves due to our businesses energy contract coming to an end. Not only did they manage to arrange a far better deal on the new contract but also assisted us with lots of on-going issues we were encountering with the current supplier. I could not thank the team enough.

Constant sales calls even though we have told them on numerous occasions that we do not deal direct with our energy suppliers, they are pushy sales people that refuse to take no for an answer. We have now asked them to take us of their call list so hopefully the calls will stop
