DISGUSTING RIP OFF B*****DS!!

I bought a motherboard from computerwebstore. After weeks waiting it finally arrived only to blow two days later.

After about two weeks of not replying to my emails, they finally sent an address to return it 'for testing'. I paid £15 to send it back. Weeks later after more emails about where my £190 motherboard was they sent me another one. Guess what?? It lasted about a week this time before it blew.

After another £15 to send it back, I asked for a total refund, no way was I wasting anymore time and money on these clowns. Numerous emails had gone their way asking where my refund was, no replies.

Then today I come home from work and unbelievably instead of refunding me the money they have sent yet another motherboard out.

I have now emailed them giving them by next week to refund the full amount or I will reporting them to Trading Standards. There is no way I will sell this on because I believe it is the same one they keep sending me out and I, unlike them, have a conscience.

Anyone who thinks about using this company stay away for your own sanity. These guys know how to annoy you to breaking point. I wish I had looked at these reviews, hopefully it won't be too late for you.

They have been given a star simply because it wouldn't let me review it at zero

Only calls will get this company removed

Call Mersey side police on 0151 709 6010

I have been trough the same thing as everyone else and really want there website to be shut down, mersey side police and trading standards are investigating computerwebstore. They said the only reason they dont have the power to get them removed is becuase not alot of people are calling in to complain. Please call the number above! and trading standards too

For those who are waiting to get your money back off them, you wont. However you can claim your money back through your banks fraud department after officially cancelling your order, trading standards are very helpful and will send you a template letter to cancel your order.

Wish I'd googled them first !
Usual story No reply to ANY of my e-mails and obviously no delivery it's been three weeks.
I will contact credit card to see if they can help
How trading Standards have not shut them down is unbelievable.

Avoid like the plague

Unfortunately I didn't check this company before ordering goods from them and now wish I had. I ordered a Garmin Forerunner 205 GPS Receiver on the 20 October and was informed by email on 28 October that it had been dispatched. Of course, nothing arrived and I can't get any replies from my emails to find out what is happening.

Please save yourselves a lot of problems by avoiding this company at all costs. Like so many other posters, I am very surprised that this company is still trading as this has been going on for years and Trading Standards has known about it for a long time.

non-delivery and no refund

I also had the same experience with Computerwebstore - several promises for delivery, nothing appeared, cancelled order and got no refund.

Contacted my local Trading Standards (suggest you do that, then hopefully these guys can be put out of business), who told me to write to them cancelling the order (inc proof of postage), quoting distance selling regs that they had 30 days to refund. Of course they didn't, so contacted my CC told them that I had the formal letter to cancel. etc, in short the CC credit my account immediately.

This has been going on for 2-3 years in my expereince, so don't understand why Trading Standards aren't more proactive!

Never again

Placed my order on 21/10/09, for a graphics card at £49.66. Then emailed them on the 26/10/09 asking why the order was showing as being processed. They emailed back on 28/10/09 to say it had been shipped that day. It is now 05/11/09 and no sign of the goods. I don't believe they have shipped it. I have emailed them twice now stating this and am awaiting a response.

Avoid!!!

Tried to place an order through their website, when I submitted my payment details I got a message saying transaction failed. I tried to plac ethe same order once more and got the same message. I didn't recieve any email conformation of the order.
Becasue of ths I placed my order with another retailer. Later on that day I recieve an email from Computerwebstore asking me if I want both orders or just the one. I emailed them back saying that I had twice recieved a transaction failed message and not recieved any email conformation of the order so I had gone to another shop, so I would not require either order.
Four days later I recieved an email from them that both orders had been cancelled but they had taken payment for one of the orders, but that payment would be refunded 'soon'.
It is now a month later and I still have not recieved any refund. I have sent numurous emails but recieved no reply. Conveienently for them they do not have a phone number you can contact them on so all correspondance has to be done by email. I have this morning instructed my credit card company to start proceedings to get my money back.

Avoid this company at all cost!

Total Scam

I wonder why this company has not been closed down after all the complaints preceeding mine.
I bought an optoma HD projector from computerwebstore and later found out they didnt even have it at all. After several unreplied mails I cancelled the order but almost 3weeks later I still havnt been refunded.
And I thought UK would be the last place you would fine scammers like these...apparently NOT.

14 days delivery but all other boxes ticked

I searched the best price possible for a Logitech G19 & G13 and bought from this webstore on 06/09 (11:23 pm GMT)

After 1 week having not received the items, I sent an email enquiring about the delivery. This was repsonded within the 48 hours and I was advised the item will be dispatched. Follow up notifications advised this.

I received the item on the 21st well packaged and in good condition.

For the best price, I'm happy with the longer delivery time than you'd normally expect. I don't think I would be happy waiting any longer than 2 weeks though.

Stay Well Clear. A Shower of chancers nothing more.

I spent £90 with this chancers. Initially the site said there was 70 of the item in stock. After a week with no reply to any emails I tried to cancel my order. Another week rolled by. In the end it took a month to get my cash back and only when I started to threatened the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
(The regulations provide a trader with 30 days to deliver goods before being considered in breach of the contract. A consumer can cancel at any point up until 7 working days from the day after delivery. If a consumer cancels the trader can take a maximum of 30 days to refund.)

they made damn sure they were holding on to my cash for 30days befoire giving it back. They are a shower of scammers that simply cannot be trusted. Avoid!!!!

Corrupt

Computerwebstore is a scam. They take your money with apparently no intention of delivering the goods. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I lost £1700 to them and only had a refund via the credit card company. CWS are being investigated by trading Standards

Bad bad bad.

Probably the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced. My card was charged for goods which were supposedly in stock - then I got an email sying out of stock but due in 5 days. When I chased it up, after several attempts and 3 weeks they said the goods had finally come in and were being despatched that day. Then nothing for 10 days. After more repeated emails chasing my order they admitted that the goods had not been despatched and they had no delivery date. I asked for a refund and they promised they would issue one. 3 weeks later I am still waiting.
Emails from this company are anonymous, nothing has anyones name on it and there is no sense of accountability. There are no phone numbers given either. So far they haven't even apologised for the inconvenience.
I too have raised the matter with my credit card company to get the funds taken back.
