I've used C Lab for years. Always check with C Lab before I purchase a supplement and even some foods, like canned tuna fish. Like the way they list research behind items, but include whether or not the research was funded by an outside agency or by the company that sells it.

I'm 83 and take several supplements to compensate for an aging body. I am healthy and active. However, doctors often wanted me to take prescription drugs for things like arthritis, the common cold, and enlarged prostate. When I asked about supplements, they uniformly said "no science." You have made it clear that there IS good science on many supplements, and your commentaries make that clear. You also make it clear that there is an effective dosage level and sometimes concerns about interactions with other drugs or supplements. I won't buy a supplement without checking with you first.

I value the guidance consumer lab gives when it comes to supplement use. Because the supplement market is not regulated by the FDA it’s nice to have people who are doing the due diligence and testing these products for quality. This is the first place I go research something before I make a purchase.

Consumer Lab tests and approves or disapproves the huge number of companies that are manufacturing the same health product.

As a retired nurse, I'm always looking for the best and healthiest products to buy. It may be supplements, protein powders, chocolate, etc. I appreciate the thoroughness of testing and reporting. The only negative is that frequently the product I'm interested in was not included or evaluated in the testing process (ex. Tera's Whey Protein powders.) I certainly realize there have to be limitations to the number of products tested. Although, many of the products tested don't seem to be carried in the more popular stores or have to be purchased though a website that most people won't bother with. I would also appreciate when a product is reviewed that you would put the name of the store where it can be purchased. I appreciate the Costco reviews of fish oil and other products that I do purchase (ie. Ubiquinol, B Complex, Adult Multi, etc.) I recently purchased Swanson's Boswellia for joint pains that you reviewed. Thank you for your hard work.

I have been subscribing to ConsumerLab for years. Before that I spent many hours researching supplements on my own. This site does that research and includes much more information than I could look up myself . I like that they update products. I like that each supplement has extensive research related to health condition it has been used to address. It might be seen as a bit pricey but compared to the price of supplements it is a good use of funds and a bargain. I have discontinued supplements that research indicates are not effective for why we were using them, and added others that are. I like to know my supplements are not contaminated and contain what they say they contain. I like to know I am buying the least expensive but good quality supplement. I also use it to choose olive oils, canned fish, grains, cocoa, chocolate and many other food type items they test. It’s a great resource.

I am so impressed with ConsumerLab's comprehensive product reviews. As one example, their review of Vitamin D covers everything I thought I knew about the vitamin and much more in far greater detail. It includes what it is, what it does (lists every possible benefit or non-benefit, supported by studies), how to take it, how much to take, what combinations it comes in, etc. according to sex, age group, and health condition. Perhaps best of all are their top picks of supplements chosen according to quality (including na for heavy metals), reasonable dosage, favorable price, and convenience to use. Their website is also easy to use. You can choose from an alphabetical listing under the product review or brand categories, or do a search to find all reviews and articles associated with your search. Finally, the membership fee is very reasonable. The money I'll save over a year in just one supplement I've chosen from their top picks will pay for the yearly dues many times over. Thank you ConsumerLab for protecting consumers and keeping consumer industries on their toes!
