Had I Known This Before, I Would Have Chosen Differently
Had I Known This Before, I Would Have Chosen Differently- No work product delivered -none!!
My experience with this company was deeply disappointing. Many of the services described in the agreement were never completed, and communication became inconsistent. Portions of our communication history and shared files were no longer accessible at different points, which made it difficult to understand what progress was being made. Throughout the engagement, the company stopped working with me on multiple occasions, later resumed contact, and then stopped again. This stop-and-start pattern created major uncertainty and made the process very difficult to rely on.
In the middle of the project, I was contacted and told the work was more than they anticipated. I was strongly encouraged to switch into a different, higher-priced contract, even though we already had an agreement in place and the original deliverables had not been completed. This shift was unexpected and did not align with the original terms.
Another concern was that I was pressured to complete project steps in the order that seemed most convenient for their internal workflow rather than what was appropriate for my business. For example, I was encouraged to immediately record podcasts using Riverside, a free or low-cost publicly available tool, despite foundational items in the agreement still being unfinished.
There were also additional mid-contract offers and upsells that I did not anticipate. Portions of the agreement appeared to shift without meaningful discussion, and responsibility for project delays or issues often seemed to be redirected back to me rather than addressed directly.
Another major concern for me was the overall lack of structure in how the company operated. There did not appear to be clear management oversight, a defined escalation path, or consistent accountability for resolving issues. At many points, the experience felt disorganized, and it was not clear who was responsible for ensuring the agreed-upon work was being completed.
One of the most important cautions I would give others is regarding access to their platform. In my experience, access to parts of our communication and project files was removed without warning, and I could no longer retrieve information or documents that had been stored there. Because the company controls the platform, items can be changed or removed, and you may not be able to recover them later. I strongly recommend keeping independent copies of all documents, agreements, and communications, and saving your own records throughout the process.
I never requested a refund. However, after deliverables remained incomplete, I was offered a partial refund, but only if I signed additional documents limiting what I could say going forward. Under the circumstances, these conditions did not feel appropriate.
I am documenting the full timeline on a separate platform for transparency. Additional information will also be available through standard public records.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that others avoid prepaying or entering subscription programs until they have had at least 60 to 90 days of consistent, satisfactory performance. Document everything in writing, clarify expectations clearly, and ensure you maintain independent access to all materials and communication throughout the engagement.
