Convey With Me are not a conveyancing…

Convey With Me are not a conveyancing firm. They are a referral agent. They do no conveyancing themselves. They refer you to a third party law firm, and charge that solicitor a fee for sending business their way. They do not make this clear on their website, marketing or promotional material. It's in terms, but not stated clearly elsewhere. Even when specifically asked on the phone, they skirt around the matter. I engaged services, and was under the impression I was using them as my conveyancer. The only place they actually comment about the fee they take is at the bottom of the quote they send, a three page document, in the small print in the last paragraph. It is not mentioned in the fee breakdown on the front page of your quote. They offer an added layer of service, via an online portal to track your case. You do not need this though. They have no complaints policy/procedure, and they are not regulated by any official body. I was very annoyed that I was led to believe something that was not the case. Had I realised what their business model was from the beginning, I would not have engaged their service. I was able to find a quotes around £200-300 cheaper elsewhere. Their business model should be obvious to a consumer, and not hidden away in terms. I don't feel that they conduct business in a open, honest, and transparent manner.

After posting my review, their managing director threatened me with legal action if the review was not taken down within 24 hours. I made it clear that my review contained fact and honest opinion, and as such, is not in any way libelous, and that they as a company have a right of reply to reviews if they disagree with content.
