First time buyer here
First time buyer here. This was my journey, having a sense of humor is advised:
1) I ordered 6 cables. As I had a non-important question, for 5 days I try calling them, but apparently their phone support is closed 24/7, including opening hours.
2) 5 days after I placed the order I mail them asking if they're on the way. Turns out there was an issue with the order and I had to redo it. I was already short on time as it was.
3) I do a new order, this time for 8 cables, you know, just in case. I contact the support asking them if the payment went through. It did.
4) I get the package, it was a fast delivery so I'm happy. The funds for my first order was unreserved on my bank account, so I'm even more happy. I open the package, and I have a reciept for 8 cables, alongside a total of 7 cables.
5) I contact the support immediately. I'm offering a picture of 7 cables but that would feel futile. I asked them how they wish to proceed.
6) I try plugging in one of the cables but it won't fit. It's a Y-split computer cable meant for the PCI-E 6+2-pin cable (to supply power to the graphics card, aka GPU) that splits into two 6-pin cables for the GPU. The 6+2-pin cable can supply 150W of power, the 6-pin can supply 75W, and 2x 75W is 150W, so it works out, hence why I ordered it.
7) I try to figure out why it won't fit. And as it turns out, the CPU-cable will fit. For those that don't know, The CPU and GPU cables are wired differently and if you plug one into the wrong socket you will fry your hardware. I contact the support about this as I can't find any reliable information on the internet. The manufacturers website is so old and outdated it requires Flash. For those that don't know, it's a dead technology, alongside 8-track and the Zune.
8) Skipping all the technical problems, I end up taking out a knife and peeling my GPU-cable slightly so it will fit in this darn adapter. I try it out, and it works. I overclock/overvolt and increase the power limit on the GPUs so they draw maximum power and I let them run a benchmark all day and all night, and when I get back the day after, everything is still working perfectly. The cable works as advertised, and I'm once again happy.
I'm leaving out a lot of details. During my emotional rollercoaster during the few days after I recieved the package I am in constant contact with the support, who hold my hand and helps me out every step of the way. I feel that everything that could go wrong did go wrong, except these few key points:
a) The funds from my first order was returned to me expediently, a sign of a legit company.
b) The support has responded to every single mail I have sent them (and there was A LOT) in a timely fashion, once again a sign of a legit company.
c) Fast, reliable delivery.
d) They sent me the 8th cable I was missing without asking for any proof etc, which suggests they care about goodwill and their customers.
e) In the end I'm left with a great product for a great price that works perfectly, and as advertised.
Despite everything I went through I can't do anything but recommend this company. If this is the worst case scenario, as I've arguably argumented for, sign me up. I will both buy from them again and recommend them to my friends.
