Long shipment time, wrong frame shipped

In my very first order, my glasses didn’t ship out for more than 4 weeks. And I had to contact coolframes couple times and pressed for shipment status. The reason they provided was their machine was broken. I wondered if they only have one machine. Very frustrated because I was waiting for the glasses to bring on my trip.

For my second order, I ordered the same frame as my first order, but the glasses arrived with a smaller size frame. It wouldn’t fit my face. And it is useless, wasting my time and money. I am waiting for coolframes response on replacement. If I cannot get a replacement, I will not do business with coolframes anymore.

We apologize for the delay on your initial order. It is true that one of the machines in the lab had a technical issue which affected several jobs. This rarely happens and we always try our best to process orders as quickly as we can. It was an unexpected technical error, and we have no control over these circumstances.

It looks like you ordered the wrong size by mistake on your second order that's why it appeared smaller. But no worries, we do have a 14-day return period for the glasses, and we can definitely replace them with the size that you need.

One of our team members has already responded to your email with instructions for returning the glasses back.

Excellent selection, great service

Again the glasses frames were delivered promptly and at less cost than locally. Also my usual optical supplier did not have the particular frame that I wanted. Having had very good service previously from Cool Frames, I ordered with confidence. This has become my favorite frame in the last 60 years and I am happy that I could find a source for another pair.

Cool Frames made ordering glasses SO EASY!

Cool Frames made ordering glasses online so easy. They updated me with every part of the process from when my prescriptions lens were ordered down to when they were assembling them. Simply - too much overhead

The first issue here is the truth in advertising. I paid for expedited 2-day shipping hoping to get my order in two days. WRONG: Called about the late delivery and got educated that 2-day applies to shipping company AFTER receiving item from Cool Frames, and they need two days to get it ready. This means the 4 days delivery happens only in the best case (if ordering on Monday). Plus, was provided tracking number for “UPS” that was returning errors. Turns out the FedEx was shipping company.
Second issue: Package was not delivered after promised delivery date. Called again and Customer service told me that this order cannot be cancelled and I need to file the lost package claim as the first step. And then it will take up to six weeks to get the refund. Highly defensive telling me that I have not read the fine print about up to 10 days delivery for prescription glasses. Told her my order was just the frames and no prescription. Found this exchange unacceptable and asked to talk to supervisor - was brushed off immediately. Extremely bullish and rude responses.

Package finally showed up with 6 days delay.
Got refund for expedited shipping. Given all the time spent in phone calls, chat with FedEx filing the lost package, frustration with not getting frame in time to get prescription lenses before my trip- giving three stars is more than generous!

I ordered prescription glasses for my…

I ordered prescription glasses for my brother in November 2024 and it is now April 10th -- the order was incorrectly shipped TWICE and I have been on the phone with customer service for over an hour trying to get the glasses reshipped. They had no explanation why the glasses never arrived correctly in the first place and then proceeded to tell me the only way they'd ship the glasses again is if I PAID for the shipping. I had no choice but to pay additional shipping fees. Inexcusable and AWEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am still not guaranteed that my order will arrive to my brother. Stay tuned! I will definitely NEVER shop this site again and would caution anyone considering doing so!

Perfect and Perfectly Satisified

First, I found the brand of frames I was looking for in several color options. Secondly, I was able to order both sunglasses and regular glasses. My prescription requires bifocal lenses. I purchased several upgrades to the lenses at a reasonable price. Thirdly, the prices for both frames and lenses were competitive. Fourthly, the company provided status updates on my glasses and on shipping. Fifthly and finally, the glasses arrive about 18 days after ordering, and they are a perfect fit, perfect prescription, and the bifocal part of the lenses are placed perfectly on both pairs.

This is the first place that did as described on the website

This is the first place that did exactly as said on their website. (The 14th place I've ordered from) I was updated on every move. Ordered March 28 & UPS brought them to my door April 02. So nice compared to all the frustrating times I've had with other places taking 4 - 6 weeks to ship but taking the money the second I ordered. It was never left pending & they never bother to inform you if they're out of stock or they will need to regrind the lens, etc. I didn't add RX lenses with these DITA Intracraft from CoolFrames because I didn't want to chance waiting all the extra time like I've waited at other places just to end up with some extra dark tint like they've done to RX lenses. (No gradient lens is left in with RX lenses) Plus it would be faster as No RX

Returns Are Not Free!

Cool Frames's 14 day "Free" return policy excludes prescription lenses! This shocking fact is hidden in their Shipping & Return policy. In addition, they were overpriced, slow to deliver and timely customer service was nonexistent. Oh...they also charge $20 for order cancellations! Buyer beware!
