Working very well.
Helped a great deal to cope with temperatures above 35 degrees in the South of France. Reduces temperature inside 5/6 metre internal length caravan by 6 to 8 degrees. After 2 weeks it feels like a good investment. The only drawback is that there is some noise, with both the internal and external parts of the unit, but this would be the same with a roof mounted version.

I'm glad you are finding the unit of benefit, it is hard initially to judge whether it is making a difference but if you leave it off and open the windows you'll soon realise it is cooling the air very effective. Bought my air con from coolmycamper and very happy with the service. Using it in France and making the hot weather more bearable at night even in my large van.

Fantastic product. We don't regret our purchase
Cools our caravan really well, we use it to keep dogs cool while we go on the beach for a few hours. Transformed our holiday. Used in Cornwall, not abroad and temperatures warm as opposed to a heat wave, but it was cool and comfortable on our return. Not at all noisy.

Excellent service, excellent product
With the hottest day of 2015 upon us, the inside of our caravan was cooking and the dogs were really feeling it. Fans just moved hot air around. Searching online we found "coolmycamper". A bit of product research assured us that the air-con units were of good quality. With the promise of 24 hr delivery, I was sold. The next day I told the caravan park owner that I was expecting a package - " Youll get it in about five days time, the service to here is terrible " was his answer. He was most surprised when the next morning my unit arrived - very well boxed for its trip to our remote (ish) location. We quickly had it up and running - the dogs must have been very relieved - and it has been an excellent investment for our caravan. Once home from our holiday, we continued to stay in the caravan in the driveway as our house is being renovated and the air-con unit is in use most days. Buy with confidence, no problems here.

Excellent up to 30degrees. We're in south of France, it was 35 yesterday and made no difference inside the van, but neither did the dometic fridge at that temp.
Ours has a bung missing for the internal unit. A spare would be appeciated.
To conclude I think it's value for money and I wouldn't be without one.
I would also like to mention I have purchased 2 units. One last yr and another this. Both very good machines.

Our fridge struggles in the heat so we bought a fan which is installed on the back to keep it cooler (we were fed up with losing our freezer contents in a pool of water) and it works! Yes, unfortunately in high heat it's difficult to keep cool however if you leave the air con on, and remember to empty the reservoir frequently in hot humid weather, it does a good job. It's especially good if, like us, you have dogs who hate the heat.

THIS AIRCON UNIT IS EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY.
I bought this for a trip to Spain a few weeks ago and found it great.
It doesn't cool the motor home instantly but they don't claim that it will but once it had been on for a couple of hours the interior was a pleasant temperature.
Our motor home is not the smallest either being 7.2m long, but it coped well even on the hot days.

I'm very pleased that you are happy with the air conditioning unit, you're absolutely right it is not an instant cool (much like a fridge from start up) it takes a while to get the temperature down especially if it's very hot and the leisure vehicle is in a sunny spot. Great product, good fast service.
We previously had a fully fitted aircon unit in our last caravan, but with a smaller van we wanted something that wouldn't take up as much room, especially as we normally only use it when abroad in the summer.
Despite being smaller, it regularly brought the temperature down from 25°C to 18°C, and occasionally from 28°C to around 20°C. It was easily positioned by 2 people (can be done by one person but it's a bit of a struggle), was easy to use & the controls are simple.
Well worth the money! :D

We bubble wrap so that the courier has to handle rather than it going on to a conveyor belt, we also use DPD who send a text advising of delivery time. Heavy, awkward to move but works fairly well
The two units are very heavy to lift once together and especially to put into place with one hanging on the window ledge. This is a two man job. The metal hanging brackets were not wide enough to fit over the width of the bottom of the window plus the frame for the blind. I have had to reshape these brackets for them to fit at all. The umbilical pipe between the two units is very awkward and seems to have a mind of its own. Clipping the two units together for carrying is fiddly especially because of the umbilical pipe wanting to go where it is in the way. Controls are easy to understand and use. Results have been fairly good. Water needs to be emptied very regularly.

Yes, the unit as a whole is heavy and requires someone who is able bodied to lift the two together, if asked we do say this is a two person job - the stronger person standing outside and the person inside taking the lighter of the two parts into the vehicle. It helps if you have a table outside on which to stand it on first (eBay or car boot sales for a cheap table) and then take the unit through the window. Of course strapping young men can do this easily but they are not always available when you need one!
The umbilical cord gets softer with use and becomes malleable allowing you to site it more easily. Yes the water will need to be emptied regularly in high heat as it's working hard to keep the space cool. The added advantage of the controls is the timer allowing you to keep it on at night but with the ability to have it switch off without getting out of bed at 2am freezing! Great piece of kit
Just back from a trip to Italy with our caravan, first time we had used our Coolmycamper since buying it recently. Temperatures were up to 40 degrees, so it got a good test, and I'm glad to say it did the job. More or less left it on for days at a time when the heat was at its highest, and it kept temperatures bearable inside the caravan, especially at night when we were able to get a comfortable sleep.
Only negatives were that the fitting brackets weren't much use, but that's maybe down to the design of our windows (but I don't see that they're much different from other caravans). We used ours by putting the external unit sitting on the A frame, and the internal unit sitting inside the front window on the front cabinet. It would have been easier to use if the connector between the units had been a little longer.

There are so many variants of windows in caravans and motorhomes that it is difficult to produce a 'one size fits all' bracket. We have customers who have fabricated brackets to their own specification in order to fit the unit into their leisure vehicle - so keen were they to ensure they could use it. Of course being able to take it from vehicle to vehicle is a clear bonus. Everyone tends to use their unit in different ways, as you say putting it on the A-frame of a caravan is a great solution. We have tested a unit with a longer umbilical cord but it proved unreliable so we have kept with our current model which we know performs well. Cool my camper any time!
I purchased the AC unit for my caravan just before our holiday in Italy this June 2015 in anticipation of very hot weather. Without this fantastic AC unit it would have made sleeping in the caravan very uncomfortable indeed.
We were able to have a relatively good night sleep as the unit helped reduce the temperatures, but more importantly dealt with the humidity which was also very high. Many of our German caravan neighbours were equally impressed and took details on where they could buy the AC unit. As a portable AC unit I would highly recommend it to anyone who owns either a caravan or mobile home. Just remember to close windows and doors in your caravan to get the best out of this amazing AC unit.
