Coreldraw is a fantastic program that i've been using sice version 2.0. So very very long ...

The only problem I have with Coreldraw is that, everytime a buy a new PC (what happens every 3 years), it's NOT possible to install the software without problems because the software states that my copy is allready installed and assumes I use an illigal version. So I need to verify by senthing the team an e-mail that takes FOREVER to get answered and then they ask for proof of payment for a product that I bought many years ago. This is simple NOT acceptable and very poor costumer service for someone who has been buying their software for over 20 years. Worst of all ... I've been waiting to get back to work for over 10 days ...

Desktop ads enabled by default on paid software

I bought PhotoMirage, which is a simple application that lets you sort of animate static images. The app randomly crashes and the tools are not very precise but the worst thing about it is that the software comes with an installer that installs 2 system services, that run nonstop and use your resources to .... SERVE YOU DESKTOP ADS. Yeah and since these services are used for software activation also, you have to have them running. You can manually disable the ads if you dig in the app's settings but WHO THE FK has the audacity to put desktop ads for a paid application? Even if you disable the ads in the software, the service wont stop running. Not buying anything from this awful company again.

Diabolical customer service

Diabolical customer service. I have dealt with Corel now on around 4 occasions for various reasons including software slowdowns, upgrade offers and license issues. I say "dealt with them" very loosely as they never actually reply! I have had more contact with their automated responses than I have with anything else. Constant chaser emails asking me if their resolution was acceptable and if I do not respond my ticket will be closed - yet I never actually receive a single email with a resolution. They effectively do not have a support team. This last interaction I had was the last straw and the reason I am writing this review. I responded, yet again, to my support chaser - as it requested within the email - and 30 seconds later got another auto response saying that their support email is no longer serviced.

I have quite literally never had a positive outcome when trying to deal with Corel.

So be warned, if anything at all goes wrong with your install, you will have no-one to help you at Corel. How they are still in business I will never know. There are so many other software options out there now that it is beggars belief they are still here.

Awful customer support

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer support. I contacted Corel through their online chat with a basic question about their subscription service: Is there a monthly billing option (Adobe has this), and what is the cost?

The person on the chat first asked me to hold while they check and then came back to say that they would have to put in a support ticket (!!).

That was over a week ago. It took over a WEEK for Corel Support to contact me in response to my chat question and not only did the "Support Engineer" not know what my inquiry was, but he also didn't know what country I was in.

My company has been using Corel products for decades and we should receive priority support per our professional maintenance plan. Their support absolutely pales in comparison to Adobe's.

A truly dreadful company

A truly dreadful company. Firstly, there are endless pop-ups - a large number a month. More importantly, I bought Paintshop Pro 2019 outright on the basis (as an amateur) I would be safe for a number of years against having to buy again. Lo and behold, I upgrade my Desktop to Windows 11, and I am told "on the first update, p/shop pro wont work, why not buy P/Shop Pro 2021?" Disgraceful, and in my opinion, verging on dishonest. Steer well away from anything Corel is my advice.

Bought Corel Draw Standard 2021 because…

Bought Corel Draw Standard 2021 because I thought it would give me the same features as the bare bones Corel Draw I bought in 2019. Boy was I wrong. I can't even set up the desktop like I want it, nor can I import my desktop from my previous Corel version. And Corel doesn't even provide a user's manual for Standard. The only manual refers to the full program and it's an exercise in frustration to try to use that manual for Standard. I've been using CorelDraw since 1991 but I think that I'm done with the company now.

Sorry I bought this product.

Bought Corel Painter 2022 on Black…

Bought Corel Painter 2022 on Black Friday offer price. Installed but kept failing to connect to internet server error therefore couldn’t register and so wouldn’t even open. I have 35 years experience with computers and soon realised there was nothing wrong with my brand new Windows 11 machine. Contacted Corel they faffed around then wanted a full transcript of everything on my computer which is used for criminals and sex offenders so I refused. I have nothing odd or pirated on my machine. I sent six emails and only got one reply. Eventually got so frustrated I asked for my money back, and was getting nowhere until I contacted PayPal, then got a refund within four hours. Even the trial version I found out comes up with the same error. I’ve used Painter for 20 years, never had such problems. Finally Corel never gave me an apology and the program still fails to work. Five star for PayPal, one or less for Corel. Postscript- I even ran it in Windows 11 Sandbox in case another app was interfering, it STILL DIDN’T WORK.

If I could leave a -37 review

If I could leave a -37 review, I would. I have used Corel since 1996 & this experience has me thinking a move to Illustrator would be the right thing. My subscription expired so I purchased it. I received the same serial number which won't be accepted so it won't allow me to use the software which I've paid for. We are on day 4 of calling, emailing, chat support with no resolve. I call and get hung up on. I chat & I've reached the wrong department who has to continue through email. I've received ONE email. I've had at least 6 trouble tickets submitted and only received one email response which asked a very vague question to which I replied and never received an answer.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. The product itself is decent but the service is frustrating and unprofessional. They have built-in a program that will put pop-up ads on your computer EVERY day. There is no option to shut it off either. I contacted them through their website support chat first where the representative was rude and unhelpful and informed me that a ticket was submitted and I would receive an immediate email response. I have yet to receive a response. I tried to call twice now and each time I have been on hold for over 30 minutes. The first time I got frustrated and hung up, the next time they picked up and disconnected the call. I tried to submit a support ticket through the website and have not heard back. I am about ready to uninstall the program and be done with it all. I do not feel it's okay for them to hijack my computer and throw up ads for every single product they have without the ability for me to choose to turn them off. The lack of response from them and the process to get a resolution is unacceptable. I will never purchase another product from this company.

Made the mistake of buying a bundle of…

Made the mistake of buying a bundle of Corel products from Humble Bundle (great site btw!) At least I didn't pay much. BUT WOW! Corel's persistent and horribly aggressive marketing is borderline harassment. Every installed product by default pops up a desktop ad DAILY and loads into an ad screen, AND exits with an ad. UNBELIEVABLE! You can turn some of this off but if you buy the software, you shouldn't have to. Why don't you work on creating great software, not how to harass and upset your customers with a constant bombardment of ads. I may have been interested to purchase an upgraded version if the advertising was not soooo aggressive. At this point I'm about ready to uninstall and never look back.

COREL`s NUISANCE ADVERTISING

COREL. This company is an absolute nuisance and a menace for bombarding you with unwanted ads. Buy one of their products and from that point on they abuse your privacy with pop-up ads for their products. Asking them to respect your privacy makes not the least difference; they continue to be arrogant with the adds. Other companies respect your privacy. Companies such as Corel that relentlessly send out unwanted ads to private individuals who have been stupid enough to buy their product should be banned from the internet. Ask anyone who has bought a Corel product and they will tell you exactly the same, unwanted ads are the norm with Corel. There are a growing number of people I hear from who say the same thing; the ads are a menace and they would never buy from Corel again on account of this.

CorelDRAW 2021 crashed two weeks ago and I am still waiting for help from Tech Support. I got an email from Paul Garcia ages ago about sending information about my computer, which I did. A live Chat appointment and a remote access attempt to restore the program but now I can't get a reply from Corel at all.

Endless Misunderstandings!

2021 - Oct 9
All I wanted is that the Log On screen did not pop up every time I used CorelDRAW or CorelPAINT. I do not want my usage data collected, I do not want Corel to track my every move, I just simply wanted to use Corel also offline.
13 emails from Corel, all with the wrong information including several links to change my password.

NONE OF THEM addressed my concern.

For thirty years I use Corel, so I do not want to switch, but this is pushing me over the edge.

28 Oct 2021 Another bizarre response from Corel Customer support Vimala. After sending this message;

Ho utterly BIZAR! Did you not read my message????

I DO NOT WISH INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO CHANGE MY PASSWORD. I WISH TO KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF THE LOGIN SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Corel Support responds with;
I apologize for the inconvenience.

Please note that we can confirm that the license is working since we have tried from our end with out secured portal, we will be unable to use the license for security reason, just can check if it is working.

So, with the email xxxAxxxxxx.com.au and the password XXXXXXX, it is working.

I request you to check signing with this email and change the password from your end.

Please let us know if that works. I am trying my best to assist you from our end.

After some 17 email messages, I finally get one that addresses my request. It is straight to the point and simple; Corel with stop working unless I log on! This means Corel can continue to Spam me with their pop-up messages and track my usage.

$600+ price tag and they track usage and send annoying pop-up spam advertising while you are using Corel products.

Worst customer service ever!!

I've given this review 1 star just because the software actually works but thats where it ends.
I've set up my preferences so I don't recive any adverts for Corel products but I constantly get adverts at the lower right of my PC screen which don't full load, while this happening I'm unable to close it down or use any other programs on my PC for up to an hour, I've ended up purchasing a cheap laptop to use while my desktop start up each day.
This was reported back in June (and the year before) and I was given a ticket number, since then I've written in for updates and been given a new ticket number which gets cancelled the next day asking me to reply to the first ticket number which Corel never reply to, I've phoned and reached an offshore support agent and been promised a resolve within 24 hours and a call from a supervisor and here I am still waiting.
I've written to the CEO, emailed the COO and to date still no responce, my only option now is to remove the software from my PC and hope this also removes the adverts, I would never buy a Corel product again as their customer service is the worst I've ever come across and I don't believe anything they tell me.

Corel's products may be good

Corel's products may be good, although I havent used all their products. Their customer service is so bad, I will NEVER buy from them again. Time after time, with every issue imaginable, their customer service is slow, kicks you out after being on hold for hours (not exaggerating), and they just dont seem to care about your issues. I'm currently on hold with them now while I'm writting this review, it's been over 2 hours, and I've been kicked out of the system 3 times. If you buy products from Corel, I hope you either never have an issue, or you have all the time and patience in the world.

I will never buy this product again

I will never buy this product again. IT IS THE WORST! NO SUPPORT. INSTEAD OF CONSENTRATING ON BEING CREATIVE, YOU HAVE TO FIGURE HOW TO GET THIS MESS WORK. TOOLS STOP WORKING REINSTALL AFTER REINSTALL, NO SUPPORT. ON HOLD HOURS AND HANG UP. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE, DON'T BUY CORELDRAW. I AM PERSONALLY GOING TO SAVE DESIGNERS THE FRUSTRATION THIS SOFTWARE. AFTER YEARS OF USING THIS THEY ONLY WORSEN THE PRODUCT CHANGING INSTEAD OF MAKING IT A BETTER AND EASIER TO USE THEY JUST CHANGE WHAT ONCE WORKED
