Excellent and knowledgeable

I had to contact Adult Social Care and spoke to the lovely Sylvie. She was so cheerful and professional. She listened to me and ensured that she had accurately recorded my query. She gave me all the information I needed to know about the next steps and expected time-frame.
She is a joy to speak with. Thank you.

Council fabricated evidence against me.

Council fabricated evidence against me.
Then sent threatening letter demanding I comply with them or they will get a warrant. Problem was I proved I did NOT commit any criminal offence.
Now council says its a clerical error!
Corrupt!

Impossible to complain.

I wanted to report some major pot holes but the webpage does not work and no one answers the phone.

I bet if I don’t pay the council tax they’ll soon be in touch though.

Just had a email given to me from a person who was dealing with Cornwall council insurance, what a farce if no one has had an accident before at that specific spot which has been inspected by their professionals it must have just happened.

Witholding my council tax

Witholding my council tax from now on and until further notice .
Pull backs on waste collections
Incapable police force who spend more time on facebook putting uo stupid selfies than attending actual crimes like robbery and home invasions and break ins.
Corruption and trafficking regarding child social services and operating illegally
Corruption , fraud and money laundering and abuse occuring within adult social care and supposed "safe guarding" targeting the vaunerable & elderly people and exploiting them.
Local Labour MP unavilable to his constituients , completly failing his constituients! Ignoring his constituients and saying he sticks to his 3 pledges which clearly is lies .
Cornwall is a sespit of corruption and i have been funding it via paying council tax!
I am not refusing to pay council tax but i will withold it while this is occuring and not being addressed .
While illegal and unlawful acts of terrorism are occuring towards its own people and the public then i will not add to it by funding it and paying for services not received until proved otherwise.

I have a small vacation rental that has been unoccupied for a few years because I’ve been dealing with terminal cancer. It was always exempt from business rates until last year when I suddenly received a bill for £460. I refused to pay since the property hadn’t been rented out due to its condition. Without hesitation, they sent bailiffs to collect the money. To make matters worse, they then sent me a Council Tax bill for 2023/4 and 2024/5, leading to more visits from bailiffs. They now ignore all my letters and emails. Their approach is aggressive and purely motivated by profit.

They have zero empathy for anyone…

They have zero empathy for anyone experiencing financial struggles! My first year in over 25 years of being a homeowner, that I've struggled to pay Council Tax. I changed jobs this year and my pay date changed to the end of the month and now they want their money upfront. Cheek of it. If I don't pay cash on the 1st of the month then I'm technically in arrears. They can't set up a DD for my pay date and the nearest date they will do is a few days before my pay has gone in. You get bombarded with calls, text and emails. Quite shocking really! Fell down in one of their car parks 6 years ago and did some damage to myself which I'm still suffering from. I put in a claim but they got their solicitors on it and said it was my fault because I was wearing heels... one inch heels by the way! And what do we get for our money? Potholes still not fixed, Police aren't interested in dealing with crime. Can't think what I pay Council Tax for. The odd street light here or there, I rarely have much in the way of refuse collection and do my own recycling! Not impressed!!

Have to pay for public toilets, street lights being turned off, 2 weekly rubbish collections, building EVERYWHERE and the diabolical mess that is the A30 "Improvement" that's turned Cornwall into Spaghetti junction where you have to U turn all over the place....really not saving of carbon emissions! A bunch of useless idiots in charge!

Uncaring and Very Quick To Send Bailiffs

I own a small holiday let which has been derelict for a few years due to me having terminal cancer. It was always business rates exempt until last year when I got a bill for £460. I refused to pay as I hadn't let the property due to the condition. These cowboys were quick to send Bailiffs round to collect it. Then, to add insult to injury, they send me a bill for Council Tax for 2023/4 and 2024/5. This has, again, resulted in them sending Bailiffs round. Now they don't reply to letters or emails.
Absolute heavy handed, money grabbing parasites.

PUBLIC Toilet disgrace

Visited Port Isaac, Padstow, Mevagissey & Looe & was very disappointed to discover that the PUBLIC toilets are not free & you have to pay by CARD Only! This is discrimination as not everyone has credit/debit cards therefore some people will suffer their consequences of having an accident. After a long journey I expect these facilities to be readily available to all free of charge. As tourists more of our well earned money will be on gross parking charges & food outlets. Come on Cornwall get real, or I won't be spending my money in your neck of the woods ever again.

Why has somebody on really low income got to pay council tax but yet somebody that's on Pip which is ridiculous amount of money each month don't have to pay it the system is crap and I'm sorry but trying to get through the Cornwall Council to try and get help with my council tax because I seriously cannot afford it it's impossible to speak to someone because their phone lines are constantly busy not impressed Cornwall Council pecking on people that seriously not able to pay is disgusting I think they should scrap council tax the government should be the ones that pay they obviously have billions of pounds giveaway to countries like Ukraine so why don't they help people over here rather than elsewhere.

Goodbye Cornwall.

It's that time of year again when I book my holiday in Cornwall. I have visited gorgeous Cornwall for the past 15 years and had some wonderful holidays. Sadly, I will not be visiting Cornwall again since year after year they have increased parking charges. Last year the cost per week had reached £70. This is just plain greed and damaging to the holiday industries that rely on the income generated by the visitors. The Cornish Council is parasitic and the businesses in Cornwall need to get together if they wish prosperity for their businesses.

Today I spoke with Tash from customer services over the phone, and she really helped me through a troubling day today! I also spoke with Jennifer who massively helped with a big situation that I had today also, and she couldn't have done more to help. Their politeness, empathy and professionalism has been very appreciated!

Homechoice website crashes

The Homechoice website is really poor, crashing constantly during the bidding cycle. You are unable to get into the bidding page. As if it isn’t bad enough trying to bid for homes when you’re desperate, to then have a website that doesn’t work.
