DON’T USE - ATTENTION TOURISTS

DO NOT USE CORREO ARGENTINO. If you have made an international purchase, good luck because you will need it. It is the worst organisation i have ever seen. After waiting 2 months, and paying $90,000 pesos in TAX! I arrived to the local branch on a day when Customs was present as instructed to collect my CONTACT LENSES. For me, these are a MEDICAL NEED and i literally cannot live without them. I had my package IN MY HANDS for about 30 seconds, before ‘customs’ (One random man, in his own clothes and feet resting on the table whilst on his phone) said i can’t keep it, because i haven’t completed some sort of Registration as my contact lenses are classed as ‘medical’. This was never previously mentioned by ANYONE.
Now, i go home in a few days back to my country, and will have to leave my $300 contact lenses here, despite paying, waiting and holding them in my hands, because of this stupid, backwards system. What i have lost cannot be changed, so i am making this post with the soul purpose of HELP FOR OTHER TOURISTS. If you need something delivering from abroad to Argentina, DO NOT USE CORREO ARGENTINO. You have to use a private company, and even then good luck. I have been all around the world and NEVER seen a country with such outdated and unreliable systems. I am so sorry to the lovely people of Argentina that you have to deal with this sad disaster of an organisation. If my horrible experience saves a future victim of this scam, let it be the only positive to come out of this.

I would put zero if i could. I sent present from UK to Buenos Aires and looks like package was not picked up and they indicated that it will be send back (i chose sigh and track) and this occurred in July. Now is October and package not came back.

They are monsters

I sent a gift to my aunty she has suffered humiliation, they keep referring her to their website that a woman on her 70s is expected to understand. I tried to do it for her and their website is like their services is disgusting there's not another word for it. After spending 3 hours on the website still unable to do anything and she still hasn't receive her gift. And don't bother complaining cause you get an automated email that tells you they get back to you and then nothing. Shameful.

really very poor

Lousy service, poor quality of care, they lie about delivery attempts and dismiss any claim. I do not recommend using this service at all, it is really very poor and with no quality guarantees.

Train wreck

This is the official postal service of Argentina and they suck. Literally, avoid this company at all costs. The delays are off the charts and they have virtually no customer service. It’s so tragic it’s almost funny. If you need to send mail to, from or within Argentina, use a private courier. Any other company will definitely be better than Correo Argentino.
