I was not happy with my experience of them fitting an ASHP:

- They clearly have taken on too much work in the current climate. Firstly, this led to very long lead times, followed by last minute delays, followed by a desire to wrap things up super quick.
- The installation itself cut corners. I agreed to the power cable being routed along the outside of the house to avoid lifting floorboards. I assumed they would be discreet. It was simply clipped to the barge board of porch. After installation, during cold weather, ice formed at the base. I was told this was normal but they could fit a drain, if it was an issue. There was an actual drain three feet away if they'd spent five minutes more on the original install.
- Similarly, the original installation was planned to backfit into the original position in the kitchen. I opted to put it in a dedicated space in a side porch. With hindsight, they would never have got it into the kitchen space.
- After the installation, my chimney leaked, where they removed the old boiler. When I complained, I was told the chimney was dangerous and I would have to pay extra. Luckily, I had my recent house survey that proved this was nonsense. When I threatened legal action, it was miraculously fixed, no danger.
- Now, 8 months later, I've been contacted to say my installation should have included surge protection. Would I like one at my own cost? No, I'll refer you to your trade body thanks.

Cotswold Energy Group recently fitted a new ASHP and hot water cylinder in our property. The whole experience dealing with CEG from the survey stage, to post installation has been fantastic. Syd and Lewis, the heating engineers who carried out the installation were punctual, polite and extremely knowledgeable. Their standard of work was exeptional and we were kept up to date daily with the progress. Markie, the electrician was very clear when setting up the system and was happy to answer any questions we had. I cannot recommend this company enough. Get off fossil fuel, get a heat pump, use CEG!

I was really impressed with the level of service, detail, communication and efficiency prior to our install, and the entire team who came to site were polite, courteous, informative, communicative and respectful of my property. I can't stand tradespeople at the best of times, but for once, this company has got it right with every layer of their business. I was very impressed and would heartily recommend them!

Zoe was our main contact throughout, and was always helpful and supportive. Bronwen was also there on hand to help through the earlier stages. Chris and the technical team were clear, friendly and professional in carrying out the installation of the pump and all the associated works. The project is split in two, so that the solar PV panels (that will go on the roof of a future extension) will subsequently tie up directly with the functioning of the ASHP. Looking forward to a fossil fuel-free life!

Zoe surveyed our property and thought carefully about the best options for our situation. The team carried out the installation of a 17kw ASHP professionally and efficiently. Chris, in particular was great at keeping us informed as the work progressed and listening to our concerns. We thoroughly recommend this company for good communication and professional, efficient service.

Cotswold Energy installed an air source heat pump for us, removing our gas boiler. They got in touch quickly after initial contact and came out not long after to do the heat loss survey and assess the heating system. Zoe was really helpful working with us to design a system right for us, dealing with lots of regular queries. The installation was a few weeks later and took a few days. The team was fantastic - courteous, meticulous, friendly and helpful - Chris, Sid and the others were brilliant and great representatives of CEG. They stayed until it was done and made sure to do a neat job, any minor snags were dealt with quickly afterwards. So far really happy with the performance, getting a COP of about 3.4 in April, decent considering we've had some chilly nights and still tweaking the system to our needs. We had our air source heat pump installed in December 2023, motivated by wanting to decarbonise our home energy and to replace our twenty year old gas boiler. Since our house was already well-insulated, we didn’t need any other changes besides a new hot water tank and swapping out several radiators for slightly larger sizes. The work was done in probably the coldest week of the year, but CEG made the process as painless as possible and they even loaned us space heaters for the bedrooms for the days when we were without working radiators. We’re grateful to the CEG team for all the care they took — the installation team even noted how I’d like my airing cupboard to be configured so I could still fit in a drying rack alongside our new hot water tank! They did very tidy work. Back in the office, Zoe supported us with paperwork for a greener home rewards grant from our bank, which gave us a further £2k rebate on top of the £5k government grant. We’re very pleased with the result, and we’ve enthusiastically recommended CEG to all our neighbours.

From start to finish Cotswold Energy were very helpful, answered our queries, installed our solar panels and batteries when they said they would. The team who worked on our project were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. A pleasure to work with, a job well done!

Cotswold Energy have recently fitted solar pv panels backed up with a storage battery. The whole process from start to finish was very straightforward, the sales team were very helpful in understanding my requirements and budget. The team of fitters and electricians did the installation quickly and cleanly with no mess. The system is now working and generating as expected. I would recommend Cotswold Energy as a very efficient supplier and installer of Solar panels.

An excellent service from start to finish. Excellent coms, knowledge and skilled trades people. The system works perfectly and has already had a reasonable test of how it will operate in winter months.

The service we received from Cotswold energy was very good. The people we dealt with both in the office and at our home were polite and helpful.
The slight downside for us was that the installation was a bit stop start. This we think, was due to delivery issues leading to Cotswold Energy having to jiggle things around. To be fair, we were kept informed and the delays were nit the fault of Cotswold Energy. We did have to chase for the completion paperwork but again we think that was due to slow service from 3rd parties.

Had great responsive support from the team throughout, the site team were professional and capable and installation was completed with minimal disruption - even the neighbours were pleased that scaffolding was erected and removed within a week!

Excellent communication. The team who installed the heat pump were brilliant - knowledgeable, hardworking, polite and on time. Work completed within the agreed timeframe. I wanted to change my gas job for an electric one at the same time - they were able to do this too at a very reasonable price. Would thoroughly recommend.

Cotswold Energy installed a solar PV system for us and the whole experience was faultless. They gave good initial advice, and everybody I dealt with at the company was highly professional, knowledgeable, courteous and polite. It was very easy to speak to someone who knew my project at any stage (no call centres!). The price was fair too (comparable with other quotes I received). Overall I would highly recommend this company.

Cotswold Energy installed our solar panels. The fitters did an excellent job. They kept us informed. Worked around our own needs during their time here. Cleared away any rubbish. They provided excellent advice on how to get the best return from using the Energy from the panels. Highly recommended.

They carefully scoped the project to integrate with our existing radiators, causing minimal disruption and we are pleased with the quality of the workmanship. I've been reading other reviews of Cotswold energy in relation to the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump. It looks like our experience is similar to those I have read- excellent service when installing and aftercare. Zoe, Chris and Sam have been more than helpful with our installation and I would recommend anyone looking to install an ASHP to look no further than Cotswold Energy

CEG installed a Mitsubishi air source heat pump to replace our oil-fired burner. We had also intended to install under-floor heating instead of our existing radiator system and were quoted for such. However, when the u-fh engineer visited, it became obvious that the upheaval was not merited so we had the radiators changed instead. Throughout the decision making, Zoe & Sam were helpful & understanding.
The heating engineers, Elliot & Sid, were most pleasant and efficient. The work was completed to a high standard on budget and schedule, despite one or other of them sometimes being called away for emergency jobs elsewhere and their having to contend with heavy snow to reach us.
We were grateful for the loan of oil-filled radiators during the works and are very pleased with the outcome.
