My internet is out again
My internet is out again, for the third time this month, and of course it can’t be fixed today. The first outage lasted four days, the second a full day, and now I’m being told it’ll be another two days before it’s resolved. We’re paying far too much for a service that’s down for days every other week. Our old provider may have been slower, but at least it was reliable.If your job depends on internet access don’t rely on Cox, they’ll leave you hanging. The only thing you can count on is them taking money from your account, whether you’re getting the service you paid for or not. Cox Communications is the worst.

Cox always has poor service
Cox always has poor service, frequent service outages, the worst customer experience, and when you want to leave them they make you spend an hour with them on the phone or in chat offering temporary cost savings and doesn't understand that their service is the worst.
I got a new phone
I got a new phone - talked with on rep and she asked me if I wanted to hold the line for 5 minutes while transfer completed. I said yes - got disconnected. Called back got another rep - she's telling my grandson what to do, she transferred us to a technical person and my son in law spoke with Bob from the Phoenix call center. He was a blessing - smart explained what we needed to do and finally got it working Thank you Bob

I've spent 6 hours on the phone with them over the past 3 days. They promised me an internet price that they then failed to give me, and they couldn't figure out how to trade in my son's phone for a new one. And now the phone is out of stock. Worst internet provider ever. Nothing ever works and crashes extremely quickly I think the owners should shut down

They were overcharging me dramatically, I switched providers and they offered to cut my bill by 70%. Too late. They would not cancel. Kept stringing me along for an hour and a half with retention offers. Wasted my time. Horrible service. The representative was "Christ M"

Just moved into a new place, tried to connect my internet and it’s not working so cox told me they could be out in a week to fix it!!! Horrible, why does it take a week to send out a technician!!

Our Service for Intetnet issues
On Friday March 20th we needed service on our internet, the time frame was from 1 to 3 PM.The technician and we don't recall his name was here right at 1:00pm., He was very knowledgeable and polite and fixed our problem within 10 minutes, I would highly recommend this technician for anybody that is having issues with their internet services. Paying 120 bucks a month for the good stuff and it sucks. Slow as hell. It takes 8 hrs to download a game on the PS5. Will be switching to Starlink soon. I hate paying for something and not getting what I pay for. I would give zero stars if I could.
For a large ISP, disappointing
Overall, service was not consistent, compared to Comcast Business, Starlink, or even my 3B connection in Thailand. Technicians are helpful, data generally flows, and eventually calls are answered, but I think there are some internal issues with systems that keep Cox Business from being as good as they could be. Which is a shame, because it undermines the efforts of employees who do care and try hard at their jobs.
Billing issues are especially pervasive, even for an ISP, leading to a need for consumers to be extra vigilant with Cox Business billing.
Overall, working with Cox Business seems like dealing with Comcast Residential. I'd hate to see what Cox Residential is like!!

I have never written a review before but Cox deserves it. internet goes out multiple times a day and then they try to upsell you. Customer service tells you something different each time. But whatever, thats every company at this point. Mostly, the internet just flat out sucks and doesn't even work half the time. Unfortunately they are the only provider in my area
When it works, it's great.
Internet service has been mostly great over the years with a few ups and downs along the way. However, Cox transitioned email to Yahoo/AO(hel)L in May of 2024. Things worked ok with that until a week ago when all of a sudden my email wouldn't log in. Got a bit of a run around from Yahoo/AO(hel)L and Cox has no way to notify them I am in fact a customer of theirs. You'd figure that with as much as I pay for a service which has been in place for over 25 years Cox would be able to communicate with Yahoo/AO(hel)L, but nope. It is irritating they are the only provider in my area currently.

Every year cox raises prices, but qualities stay the same. Packages offered are designed to squeeze every penny out of the customer. Customers can not choose a package without losing something. When you go to the store and ask why prices went up there is no explanation.

We switched from Dish Network to Cox Cable when Dish kept failing during Tornado Warnings. THIS EVENING, when we have a Tornado Warning with a reported tornado on the ground, 30-miles out and headed directly for us .. COX CABLE GOES OUT!! Cox Internet (and thus, my cell phone) DIES and we’re LEFT WITH NOTHING, in REAL TIME, as a the rotating storm system barrels down us. I’M FK’ING DONE WITH COX!!
