I use to love Crabbies Ginger Beer, but hadn’t bought it for a long time. I picked up two bottles a couple of days ago and the taste was a big disappointment. It has been watered down to the point of being pointless, with barely any ginger flavour left at all. I won’t be buying it again.
Why has Crabbies been ruined? Absolutely disgusting. Crabbies used to be 4.8% and had a fiery kick that ginger lovers seek.
I had not had a bottle for years, during the recent heat wave, it seemed a wonderful reminiscence opportunity. Disappointed is barely descriptive.
I bought 2 bottles, I thought the first one I opened was a dud. Offensively sweet with almost no ginger flavor. I did some research to find the recipe has been altered a few times. So my first bottle was not a dud in itself, I returned the 2nd bottle to the store for refund.
What was once one of my favorite ginger beers, is a prime example of "new and improved", here meaning they ruined it completely
Have been buying Crabbies ginger wine for years as it's by far the best around. Unfortunately it's now impossible to find a stockist. We've been buying from Amazon after all other supermarkets stopped selling it but now they don't have it either.
I did email their customer services but they've not bothered to reply. How do they ever sell anything?!
