Credit Angels? More like Credit Devils!
I signed up for the free trial for 14 days but because I was short of money decided to cancel.
Nowhere on their website is there a simple cancel button. You have to phone them. So I phoned and a recorded message said no-one was working because of Covid19 restrictions even though thousands of other call centres nationwide are perfectly able to function with at home workers manning the phones.
So I emailed. Waited. No reply.
Then the £19.99 debit appeared on my bank account so I phoned and emailed again. Phone still not manned. I waited.... 3 days they said I should wait and they did reply. They cancelled my account which is what I wanted but they said they will keep my money because it is my fault they can't function in a crisis. Or are they just fraudsters? Because now I have been defrauded of £19.99 for a months service that I don't want and don't have access to. And just like the last reviewer this has damaged my credit position not enhanced it. Thanks Devils. You don't even achieve what you claim is your purpose of being in business. You do the opposite.
I will be reporting them to the financial authorities and the police because to take money and then refuse to supply the goods or service is surely theft. To ignore cancellation requests or place obstacles in the way of cancellation is surely fraud.
Don't trust any company or sign up to any "free trial" that makes it a condition that you will automatically be charged after the trial ends. A more honest and ethical approach is to send you a link on the last day of a trial offering you the opportunity to extend for a fee. Any company that needs to use such a fraudulent dishonest method to gain customers is not confident in their product or their business model.

With no notice whatsoever - which is standard practice for responsible companies these days - 20 quid is taken from my account, leaving me with a negative bank balance.
Need this sorted immediately Credit Angel.
EDIT: Credit Angel, I have already emailed you, I emailed you at the same time as I posted this review - many hours ago - and I haven't received a reply yet, I'll update this review if anything changes.

Cant give 5 stars because of the original problem but am more than happy to update the review to 4.
If all customer service was like this there would be far fewer complaints.

Signed-up about a week ago. Not been able to access my credit report as yet. When i go through clicking 'My Credit Report' --> 'Report Summary'
I see a blank page, then after a loooong wait a message appears :
'www[dot]callcreditreport[dot]co[dot]uk took too long to respond.'
I repeat this process over and over, only to see the same message. Support has told me to try again later because it may be to do with the internet connection. But I can access other websites no probs.
Update (03-05-2018)-Just checked now, and viola!, can access credit report. Don't know if CreditAngel or callcredit sorted it or if it was a problem at my end.
Update (04-05-2018) - Maybe I needed to answer the questions (that come up before accessing report summary) while accessing from WITHIN U.K. Maybe a possible cause. As soon as I was accessing from within UK the 3-4 questions came up. After answering the questions, it didn't matter if I was accessing report from within or outside.
The person I spoke to was so helpful I’d rate her five stars but not the company as after I cancelled my account they still took 14.99 from my account
I would highly recommend credit Angel to anyone. All their staff are a credit to the company- Polite, respectful and compassionate to your needs. I spoke to a lad called Wayne today. I really liked him for all of the above and the fact he was knowledgeable and catered for my personal needs

Stores passwords in plaintext and sends them to users via email!
I took out a trial in January but never received the activation emails. After some back and forth I cancelled this as I had been unable to use the service. I then noticed unrecognised transactions on my card at the beginning of June. Neither the phone number nor the post code listed on the merchant details were valid. With the assistance of my credit card company I eventually tracked it back to credit angel. I immediately tried to phone but was kept on hold for approximately 30 minutes on two occasions before giving up.
I sent a follow up email clearly stating that the account should already have been cancelled and that if it had not it should be cancelled immediately. They then waited until the evening of the next billing date to reply, after having taken payment and have refused to even acknowledge that this payment was clearly unauthorised.
Whatever your reasons are for taking the trial, make sure you have documented evidence of the cancellation. Luckily I may be able to recover some of this for myself but could easily be left hanging.
