I only did this to see my credit score this site is VERY predatory, I am a very broke college student and Canadian immigrant who is in the prosses of moving from my apartment so I went on a realtor site and they sent me over to this to see my credit score, they gave no indication that they will be CHARGING the SAME card im trying to see my credit score on or that they were charging me period! Im so upset because as i have stated i am broke and is trying to keep my head above water and make sure i can have a good enough score to move. I checked my account today *I am a night owl* only to find out i was chared $35CAD from y CREDIT CARD!!!!!!! I'm confused and depressed because im already trying to pay off my credit card bill and they are ADDING to it! what sense is there to check my credit core if you guys are trying to make it worse????? I can't even call for a refund because it is so late at night *1:19 am on a Saturday* and they won't be open until Monday! I am super anxious because I have money that isnt mine missing and reading the other reviews about this predatory company I might get my refund request rejected. Im confused because i don't know if i should cancel my account because I'm afraid ill never get this money back!!!!! I have no idea how you guys sleep at night scamming people who literally have nothing and is trying their hardest to make something of themselves.. the world is truly wicked

This is a complete scam company, they will charge you every month and will not let you cancel. You have to call and wait on hold just to cancel, and even then they will not cancel. They told me once they would be cancelling and then didn't and kept charging me, and wouldn't offer a refund. Avoid this company at all costs.

I signed up to get a Pay day loan a long time ago, i never even got the loan, but somehow was signed up with these guys. I have called 3 times to cancel, each time, getting a cancelation confirmation email and yet they have still taken $90 over the last month alone. They keep offering me a 50% refund. I want 100%, it was not authorized to take this money. They told me there is nothing anyone else there can do. I have proof of the cancelations and proof of the money coming out.

Signed up to see my credit score and charged me $1 but a week later they charged my credit card $35 CAD without my consent. When I called to cancel this so called “membership” I apparently signed up for they told me they wouldn’t refund me. Avoid this company they’re scammers and I fell for it.

Without taking my consent and approval they charged me 35 CAD.
That transaction was not validated by me and they are not refunding my money now.
Pathetic service
Highly disappointed

Cant even get into the website to cancel my subscription. Very frustrating. Their operating hours is also very inconvenient. Keep getting charged.

SCAM. For 15 months this company has been charging me monthly $34.95 off my credit card, (total paid is $524.25). I called to find out what this company was and to cancel further charges and request a refund. I was told I would need to speak with a supervisor, and would be called within two days.
Two WEEKS later, no call. I call again today and am told that I could receive a refund of $34.95 only, as "it is a valid charge", and they are "not a scam", and that they help to "prevent scams" lol! If this was a real company, they could see that I have never once used their website to check my credit score for the past 15 months, and additionally, given the sheer amount of people with the same complaint on here, that it is obviously not easily apparent that you may have sign up for a life of payments to CreditVerify- a service I most definitely would not want or need. Please contact me if you are considering legal action as well.

I’ve been getting these charges of 34.95 every month & each time
I try to contact a representative or email i never hear back from anyone. Im tired of this!

I am not even aware that I have been charged for multiple months for a credit monitoring service. I tried to cancel the service online and am asked to call. I tried to call but had to wait forever before the call was dropped.
This is not a shady business. This is a crime and deserve a lawsuit. I will do whatever in my capacity to get my money back. Business like that should not exist in the first place.

The $Charge$ you right after you sign up with them using your email, followed by a really long email saying nothing but at the very bottom: "You are subscribed to our membership with 7 days free trial... " I could have lost so much $ if I didn't go verify their business and reviews online.

Was curious before and I wanted to check it out, totally regret the decision. The 7 day trial is not helpful at all as I tried contacting on my last day but it takes ages for someone to actually answer. Then I was too late.
I have been wondering where my money was going for the past couple of months. I checked my statements and I saw that you guys are charging me 40 dollars every month? For what? Staff parties? Outrageous for a site that checks credit. I am working 6 days a week and the only time I had a phone call was yesterday. I had to wait 2 whole hours till I got tired and made a virtual email just to contact whoever is available. So far you guys owe me more than 120 dollars..
This site deserves a lawsuit. I hope no one else falls for this joke.

I just encountered this website and noticed many people talking about how they have been charged a monthly fee without any notice. I thought it was not the case for me but I just checked my bank statements and same thing! I have been charged $35/month for the past few months (totaled up to $210) without even knowing! Normally companies would always provide an email receipt of a subscription, but I never received any of that during the months this company charged me. Their company ID under POS system is also protected (IDPROTECT.CO). I found out that calling to cancel is an illegal practice in all 50 states, which has been enforced by the FTC since 2018. I think it is also illegal to be only providing all the monthly fee information at the bottom of an email, as that is not considered to be fully transparent and openly informing the consumers that they will be charged with this fee and how the cancellation process works. Although I am in Canada, this company was originally from Santa Monica, California, as their Terms and Conditions state to send them a mail to the Santa Monica location to continue with the cancelling process should phone option not be preferred. I will try to give them a call tomorrow morning and hopefully have my membership cancelled, my card profile removed, my account possibly deleted, and most importantly, a full refund from January until June (~$210).

This company tells you they charge you 1$ to check your credit. (In very fine print) meanwhile they charged me 10$ the first time. I was unable to cancel before the 30$ monthly subscription fee was deducted from my account. I will try to contact them again on Monday and see what they’re going to do. If they don’t reply I’ll be filing a dispute with my bank. Thankfully with all these complaints there’s enough grounds for a class action and my best friend happens to be a corporate lawyer so this could be a very fun time for all of us! Looking forward to hearing from this scam of a company.

i smell class action lawsuit
i can't believe i was charged 40+ dollars per month by this company. and I'm not currently located in Canada so can't call the number. This website is a scam. Avoid.
hey creditverify, by replying to this message you agree to pay me $99999 per month

I have tried since Feb to cancel my account. They either can't find my account or say that it has been canceled. I want my $174 back that I have been charged since then. $34.95 each month.

It is infuriating! Very hard to cancel any subscriptions. The website hasn’t worked on my end yet, so didnt even see what the $1 trial was supposed to show, just errors!
No way to cancel online. Anytime I call, just silence. I’ve sent emails. Left messages. Wasn’t rude in any to be ignored! Starting in April $34.95 has been coming out of my KOHO account. Even have them looking into ways to try to stop payments.
Please, I ask again, cancel my subscription & refund the $105.85 (so far, in just those months!) you have taken from me.

I tried this website on a free trial only to have them charge my credit card. After 3 phone calls of them just hanging up I finally got through to someone only for them to say they were not going to refund my credit card. Only after threatening to call my bank and report them to the better business bureau did they agree to refund. While their services seem good I will never use them for their scammy practice of charging for their “free” trial

Quite a brutal service they run, I don’t ever remember agreeing to sign up for a monthly 40 dollar service. Needed to call to cancel, ridiculous. Would not recommend.

Don't approach this website!! They do not pick up the phone to cancel the subscription! Worst customer service!
