My son stayed at Grand Felda House in Wembley. The accommodation was disgusting. The place stank and when sewage was leaking onto his room floor, they wouldn't fix the issue until I called them myself... See more

Do NOT live with CRM (at least in Edinburgh)
Truly is an awful place to live for the money. I live in the Edinburgh accommodation in Abbeyhill…do not spend your money to live here…you’ll regret it! Don’t get me wrong the staff are lovely and it’s not their fault but there have been countless things that have gone wrong, even the simplest of things that should be fixed! I was given the wrong key for my letterbox, so the receptionist gave me another but still doesn’t work. The water chooses when it wants to work…I complained saying this is unacceptable and the receptionist told me that it would be fixed in an hour. Over the weekend it still wasn’t fixed. There have been many times when I haven’t been able to get any water at all. Or if there is water you can only get cold water. And sometimes you can’t get a shower because the water pressure is so bad. There have also been issues with the WiFi..and all these thing have happened over just two months of my stay! Whatever you do…don’t live here!

Be wary of a SCAM 'Holding deposit' I was TRICKED into paying a fee to reserve a property while I sent my documents like proof of ID 3 payslips a bank statement and proof of address. I also sent a reference from my current landlord. I was told once the landlord checked these I could collect my key and move in by the Wednesday. I sent all the documents and holding fee on the Monday. The land lord TYNE BRIDGE APARTMENTS then started asking for unreasonable requests sending a link to gain access to my bank account to see what my incoming and outgoings are. They even asked for a guarantor. I’m a mature professional. I declined to open this link and provide a guarantor They then wanted access to my HRMC records another request I declined then they said I could not get my deposit back. Called my bank FRAUD TEAM, POLICE AND CITIZENS ADVICE who put me in touch with trading standards and the money has eventually been refunded. Be very careful before handing over any money. The whole process was very degrading.
Caveat emptor - no refund of deposit despite promise.
Paid deposit for my son to go to Louise House, London and cancelled within the cooling-off period when he was offered official accommodation. Cancelled within cooling-off period and promised a refund (July 21st) but have heard nothing since. No answer to chasing up.
Awful service
Awful service, no action taken when my son reported drug use in his flat which resulted in my son having to leave the accommodation at Christmas, no support for him on how to move flats. My son had to pay for the full year of rent despite him being provided with accommodation that he could not live in. Fast forward to the end of the year, only £100 of the £900 deposit refunded with no explanation why, the only response to emails sent about this was an out of office showing an alternative contact email address which does not work. Absolutely terrible, please do not use CRM students, they are atrocious.

Same as others stuck awaiting lease to sign for my daughter, emails not replied to, no answer via phone goes to answerphone saying email.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Ropemaker Court. I applied for accommodation and have been trying for weeks to get in touch with them regarding where to provide my guarantor’s details. Despite sending multiple emails, I have received absolutely no response.
This complete lack of communication is unacceptable, especially as the start of the academic year is fast approaching. I am moving from London and urgently need to secure accommodation, yet I’ve been left completely in the dark. It is extremely stressful not knowing whether my application is valid or if I will have a place to stay.
Poor website and no communication
Haven't even moved in and already having problems. Cannot complete guarantor steps which is risking a student losing a place, sent 2 emails with no response and the phone number is never answered. At the cost of this accommodation i would expect at least a minimal level of customer service
CARFUL…
I would strongly advise future students and tenants to think carefully before booking with Zenith Cardiff (CRM Students).
The staff are amazing, and other acoms in Cardiff are too.
But I had a issue...
I signed a tenancy agreement and was then issued a side letter from CRM confirming a revised rent amount. This was confirmed in writing by their staff after my lease was signed. I paid exactly what was agreed and CRM accepted every payment without any issues.
Months later, they suddenly claimed the payment plan was an “error” and started demanding an extra £810, changing their explanation multiple times:
First, they said it was a simple miscalculation,
Then that it was just a payment schedule change (not true — the letter clearly states a change in amounts),
Then that the letter was invalid due to dual occupancy — even though they confirmed it was valid after knowing all tenancy details.
They are now threatening legal action and to involve my guarantor — despite failing to correct their own mistake or take accountability. I’ve had to escalate the matter to Shelter Cymru, Citizens Advice, and the Property Redress Scheme.
It’s incredibly stressful and disappointing to be treated like this after following everything they put in writing. I cannot recommend this accommodation based on how they’ve handled what is clearly their own internal error.
Chaman was great
Chaman was great, he is very polite and informative. He always gives excellent customer service!
Mismanagement and emotional manipulation
I was having issues in the accommodation and asked the management to step in. Instead of conduct an investigation, the management team has been neglect my need, trying to shifting the focus back on me, and they have very bad attitude when I tried to talk further. This matter has been going on for month and I still haven't got a reasonable result. I've been living here for two years, not until now I found out they have such bad management. I won't recommend this place at all.
A great and welcoming accommodation.
The accommodation was clean, peaceful, affordable, warm and hospitable.

0 stars, tbf This company stressed the crap out of students. I rented with them twice and yet didn't get a chance to finish my university life based on the stress the management gave me. They are all bad and bully students, starting from the owner, management, and grand felda accom. I had a janitor man put hands on me physically: BarryIsted, MirielleKelie, MaryumKaramoko, and Duccan Luggett. I settled the issue legally in 2022/23, yet they are here still trying to charge (2025) me for an accommodation that not only ruined my mental health but also put me in physical danger. majority of the time I was staying somewhere else. Before moving in, I communicated my circumstances. WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMENED THIS STUDENT COMPANY; THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY. they can drive a student to mental insanity there are more ppl that i was with that have worse stories. they are forgetting they have kids to it takes just a name search for someone to take things into their own hands. plan on taking them to the higher courts, which i should have from the get go.

This company is awful do not let your students/ kids pay good money for the awful service they get!! My daughter has a gas leak and cannot contact anyone to get this sorted!! They are expensive/ no help/ money rip offs!!
Say they support mental health, their actions show that is nonsense.
Son stayed less than 2 weeks due to poor health, had to return student loan. CRM are demanding payment for the rest of the year unless we get someone else to let the room. Who has thousands of pounds spare- it’s £8800 for the year!. Accommodation was dirty and had mould. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Advertising 44 accommodation
Advertising 44 accommodation. Booked took £150.00 deposit. Had contract through with 51 weeks on it. They said they would get it amended only to have another email stating that 44 weeks were not available. Now trying to get in touch for a refund. False advertising
Please avoid this company!!
Please avoid this company!!! Cambridge accommodation is horribly outdated with the cheapest and ugliest rooms they could muster up, I paid £10k for a microwave oven and a hob that barely heated up in my “luxury apartment”…
The deposit drama is absolutely real and they haven’t paid anyone back because whoever they hire to manage their websites clearly needs to be fired as this is an ongoing problem.
The washing machine and driers also cost around £7 for one wash and dry so keep that in mind when booking, because there is also only two of each for your whole building. The fire alarm also goes off at 10pm-4am all the time so good luck
