James from Crosslands Vehicles Ltd was helpful, professional and not at all pushy. He came across as honest and decent; I bought a VW Golf from Crossland and when I returned with a slight issue regarding a squeaky window, he immediately looked into the problem with an experienced mechanic, booking the car in for the necessary work and offering me another car to use on the prescribed day. Excellent customer service!

Had a good experience visiting for a test drive but on the way home having purchased the vehicle the tyre warning light came on. First issue. Sorted that, and took the car out again today. This time we have the engine management light on and car in limp mode. Beyond disappointing for a car we have only driven three times and is supposed to have been checked and serviced. Now we face the hassle of getting that addressed too and waiting for it to be done. We shall see if it is covered by the warranty or if that is worthless. And the first time that a local to us garage can see us under the warranty scheme is 5th May. The car is a white golf convertible which is now off the road in the nice weather of course and over the bank holiday.

Thanks James. We spoke to you yesterday but the long and the short is we still have to wait until Tuesday for it to be looked at - it is going to be tricky in limp mode to get it to the garage.

From my first enquiry to taking delivery of my new car at home, communication with Crossland's was outstanding. Clearly, co-owner Leighton is an experienced trader, who answered all my queries politely and professionally. At no stage did I feel pressured or was being sold a vehicle with a dodgy history. Before discovering Crosslands online, I had visited some much larger car dealers in the Peterborough area, all of whom only seemed to get excited to sell me one of their finance packages. Not one showed interest in listening to my requirements, so it was a such a welcome surprise to be so well treated by Leighton and his team at Crosslands. This smaller than average car dealership deserves to flourish and I have no reservation recommending their range of genuine high quality vehicles and personalised service. Nigel

we purchased our new to us car end of march and i have waited to write the review just in case there was something to complain about but i have had no issues with the car so far. James was nice, polite and made purchasing the car an absolute breeze, i didn't have to chase for updates there communication was great. I have always been nervous about buying cars but I didn't feel nervous there. we will be back but hopefully not for a long time. we love our 5008

The whole experience was painless as James was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, not at all pushy and rectified a couple of ‘niggles’ without question. Purchased a Ford Kuga from Crosslands. I was slightly apprehensive as I have had three bad experiences with used car dealers in a row.
I had no reason to worry. The whole process was seamless. No pushy sales, no mis-representation, just a pleasant process.
Despite the nearly 100 miles travel there and back, I would definitely use them again.
I cannot comment on the aftersales though as I have had no issues so far - which is a good thing I suppose!!

Basic version - Restores faith in Garage Dealership, brilliant customer service...

I purchased a 5008 pug advertised with a new MOT. We bought it but as we wanted it straight away we had to bring it back at a later date for an MOT. This gave us time to find a few niggles with the new car. The car went back for mot and had advisories which the garage owner went halves on, more than reasonable!

The minor niggles were all sorted out without any hesitation. This place was recommended to me and now I see why...worth the 90min drive!

I was very happy with the car, the price was justified as it is a lovely colour and spec. There are some lovely cars on the forecourt. My other half has brought 4 cars from James and she would go back to him....I would also.

Absolutely delighted with our car purchase and the customer experience. We traveled nearly 2 hours to view and test drive the vehicle and came away with it within 2 hours!! Everything was organised, ready and waiting for our arrival. Helped with all the paper work for a quick turnaround, even went to the Post Office to do the tax on our behalf whilst we were there. No sales pressure at all, just a friendly and honest approach to doing business which is a breath of fresh air.

James was very helpful when we brought our new car from him, he did not push at all with the sale and very generous with our trade in car

In recent years I've purchased two vehicles from Crosslands, a very local business. Both have given me driving pleasure with the minimum of bother. For their size they offer a good selection of vehicles at prices to suit a lot of wallets. I found the sales staff to take an interest in what I wanted and offer good advice based on my requirements and not their own agenda, as I've found others do. Both the vehicles I bought were ready for the time agreed, finance wasn't a problem with various options available and importantly, checks had been carried out by the co-located garage. Very satisfied with my purchases and would recommend Crosslands to anyone considering purchasing a 'pre-owned' vehicle.

Ceosslands couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. Stayed open late for us to view a car and started early for us to pick it up after purchase as we live approx 90 miles away. Very friendly and helpful, would definitely buy from them again p
