User-friendly for small investers.

I find this the easiest crowd funding company for small investors such as me, because I get immediate notification of campaigns starting, payments received etc. and can then choose what to invest my money in next. One omission is listing the interest received separately in the transactions page - after all, the investment is in order to make a profit from worthy investments!

I am concerned about the future of Crowd Funding as all the financial pundits predict these could crash once there is a down-turn in the economy. I don't know how we can be reassured about this?

Good investment platform accessible to simple investors

I found the Crowd2Fund platform very easy to use and with a good variety of investment type. The information on the company seeking founding through this platform are somewhat limited but in line with other providers. The ISA option is great and not commonly available from other peer-2-peer. The only area that should be improved is the number of opportunity and the minimum investment. For smaller investors it may be difficult to spread the risk without investing sizeable amount of money.

High yield and careful management

Crowd2fund must be doing something right. They select their funding applicants carefully and have an eye for creditworthiness. I have had returns in the 9% area and no losses so far with crowd2fund.

Slow Processing

Good service but there can be considerable time between pledging funds and actually receiving interest on those funds.
Also the secondary exchange market works very slowly. Time lag between requesting to sell an investment until the request is actually approved and made available to potential buyers.
So the APR profits listed on the site are pre charges and also lowered again by the time lag when money pledged/invested isn't earning interest.

- Processing time: We have set-up an alert so investors who want to start earning sooner are alerted about campaigns closing soon - rather than needing to wait for the campaign to close. The actual impact on the overall interest rate is nominal if you need to wait 30 days to start earning interest.

- Secondary market: We have the delay for compliance reasons to ensure that there is some moderation with listings. This is an FCA requirement. We have however formalised listing time to 24 hours so things will be automatically listed after then.

Thanks for the feedback - we are committed to improving our service to ensure we are the best platform in the marketplace.

Crowd 2 Fund

I've been impressed with ease of investing, a good rate of return and that an IFISA is available. Only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that I haven't had money invested for long enough to assess the number of missed payments and ultimately defaults - although I am aware that no defaults have been recorded so far. Only slight issue I've noticed is that a number of opportunities have been tagged as "coming soon" and then don't materialise.

New user - very impressed

Very easy to set up and start investing. I love the fact that as your money is invested you are notified. Excellent website and members portal.

I think its great, but I wonder what will happen when/if more companies default in the future?

SO far, I have found Crowd2Fund very easy to use and lending my money has been easy. However, there have been no defaults on Crowd2Fund so far, and I'm interested to see how this will be handled in the future - especially if more UK companies may go bankrupt following the implementation of Brexit in the future. I would also like to receive company updates of the companies I have lended to so that I can track their progress and the safety of my loan.

Opportunities

New Opportunities pop up without having been shown as coming soon. This is confusing as suddenly an opportunity is shown which has not been seen before, and opportunities that have been shown as coming soon disappear.
Other than that a good site.

Since had a reply from crowd2fund, with explanation which was comprehensive and more than satisfactory. As a conciquence I would like to amend my rating up from three stars to four.

Reply from Crowd2Fund

We often list opportunities as coming soon prior to completing the full due diligence however sometimes campaigns might not meet the strict criteria. Also, it is highly unlikely, however a campaign may fail after going live or up until execution of the legal documentation.

We have modified our internal process to ensure this happens as infrequently as possible and will be much more careful when listing campaigns as coming soon but please note the loan is not completed and is always at risk of falling through until the funds are released to the borrower.

Brilliant...but could be excellent!

I opened an account because they seem to be one of the very few to offer IFISAs. Really good service, easy transfer process and helpful staff.
The website is pretty good but it would be excellent if it had a couple of extra features

Mostly Very Good

I've been using Crowd2Fund since July '16 and have had a very good experience. There are a few things I would like to see however, such as:-

- An Android app.
- A list of upcoming repayments for my account.
- The ability to convert my existing investments into a 'Smart Invest' plan. I don't know if this is possible and, if it is, the documentation on the site doesn't explain the process.

Apart from that I can't complain, it's been a really positive experience so far.
