Shipper lost item but Crutchfield wouldn't refund my money
I ordered a $3,000 subwoofer from them. It is large so it had to be shipped freight. It supposed to be here in three days. After a week I called Crutchfield for help and for another week they tried to locate it with the help of the shipper, but it couldn't be found. I told them to cancel the order and refund my money then. However, they told me the cannot and will not refund my money until the subwoofer is found and returned to them and then it will take several days AFTER that for me to get a refund. However, I had NOTHING to do with the fact that the shipper lost this item. I had no control over it ever being returned. But Crutchfield refused to budge.
Update: since this review Crutchfield did reach out to me and offered to give me a discount on the subwoofer. They also said they didn't think this was handled appropriately and they gave me some indication that they were talking about making changes so this wouldn't happen again. I do believe they are sincere and I have regained some trust in them. I believe the company itself is a great company and that they didn't have a good policy to handle my unique situation. Lastly, since I already ordered the speaker from someone else, I told them the discount offer wasn't necessary, but what they could do is agree that if I called for support on this speaker, that they would help me even though I didn't purchase it from them. The agreed to do that. Thanks Crutchfield.

When I purchased my turntable, I had a great conversation with my representative on Chat (not AI). My order was delivered quickly. Order a couple of adapters yesterday, and they are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. This is a good, customer service focused company.

i'm every disappointed on your shipping I bought my elac debut center channel March 25 2026 and I expecting to come March 31 between 11:00 am-2;00Pm and I'm so excited and when I check again it will e deliver that day between 4:00 PM -6:00 I been waiting till 7;00 PM and finally say it will be deliver tomorrow , it been so frustrating to wait all day for nothing.....hope fully tomorow April 1

Crutchfield is awesome - Extremely tech savvy...
I have now learned that with the last three tech purchases - I will only go to Crutchfield to by my gear. The prices are great, but the technical support is absolutely the best. I had a difficult car stereo to replace in a Subaru with a system already installed. There was a lot of interface between the Subaru / the existing system / and the new JVC deck. Crutchfield tech support was there on a Friday and a Saturday to help me with interface connections. Even sending me Subaru schematics. Do not go anywhere else to buy your equipment. Also the sales people are great setting up equipment that works with my existing system. They also helped me build an install my theater a few months ago with my LG 88 inch OLED and full surround. Crutchfield is awesome.

Not all the info was correct they gave me. I was told the front and back speakers was 6 by 8 the front was but the back was not. The back was 6 1/2 round . But I ordered what they said so now I have 2 sets of 6 by 8’s
