I bought a Cube E-bike in May 2025 from Tredz.co.uk through cycle2work scheme. The bike costed £2,449. In March 2026 (Less than a year and only after 193 miles) I found the chain snapped, got a... See more

Great concept poor quality.
I've had a Cube Reaction ebike for nearly 2 years and covered 3,000 miles. Day one the chain slipped on the high gears and had to be adjusted. Things went well until the speed sensor failed and was sending spurious signals to the motor. It took 3 visits to the bike shop to fix (they changed the handle bar display before finally changing to sensor on the rear wheel). Then one day the battery completely failed and would not turn on or charge, luckily this was cover under warranty. In the last year I have noticed rust on the seat bolts, wheel hubs and various fixings and there is surface rust appearing in the front folks (chrome) - shop says not covered by warranty! I've now have had to change the chain and complete 12 speed gear cassette because they are worn out! I was told this was because of the torque of the motor and wasn't covered by warranty!!
The bike is a great concept but appears to use cheap unreliable components. I won't be buying another!
Very poor service!
Very poor service!! I have tried to contact Cube by email on two occasions, both times I get an automated reply saying... we will get back to you shortly. Can anyone suggest how to actuly get a reply or does anyone have a phone contact or alternative email?
Customer service is bad
Customer service is bad and bikes are very overpriced.
Who pays a 1000 € for a bad quality bike when you could buy a kona or trek for a few hundred less
Chain comes off way too frequently
I bought a Cube All Road 500 in August 2020 and I’ve had nothing but trouble with it since due to the chain coming off and jamming between the frame and the front chain wheel causing damage to the frame and chain. Last time it came off it also came off the rear chain ring in lowest gear and broke 7 spokes due to the bike not being fitted with a rear wheel chain guard. I’d seriously avoid buying a Cube e-bike as my partner and a good friend have both experienced the same problem but to a lesser degree fortunately.
Edit: Having reported these problems to Cube at the time of writing this review I have not had any sensible response from them. Meanwhile my £2000 Cube ebike is in bits in my garage awaiting an expensive repair. Another reason to avoid Cube bikes-appalling customer service.
More excuses than my young children. Don't bother with them
1. Order bike - June 2020, receive Bike in July 2020
2. Love Bike
3. Have small problem - September 2020
4. Email Cube - receive acknowledgement
5. No response. Send 2nd email. receive another acknowledgement - December 2020
6. No response again
7. Contact UK sales – in Netherlands????!!!
8. No response
9. Send 2nd email to Netherlands
10. No response.
11. Contact Bike shop, they don't work with Cube any more, they cant help.
12. Look on internet for senior people in Cube, find someone called Dan White. I believe he is a Director of Cube Bike UK. Work out his email address and email him.
13. Great response. Apologetic.
14. 27 emails later, almost 5 months later, issue still unresolved, with the blame being put at my door for receiving a FAULTY PART from Cube.
15. Cube suggest I take my bike on a 130kms round trip to resolve fitting something that takes me 10 seconds,
16. Off to bank to see about a refund for something costing a few £'s
In summary for the £2500 I spent, won’t be bothering with Cube again. Seems a recurring issue they have, let’s hope they don’t try to organise a party in the brewery.
Don't buy bikes from Cube in the
Don't buy bikes from Cube in the - they tell lies about delivery dates and you cannot speak to a human being about anything.
They hide behind a website contact centre based in NL which is no use to any consumers in the uk
If you want to buy a bike from a reputable manufacturer go (anywhere) elsewhere.
Bought my 625 nature on a mad whim…
Bought my 625 nature on a mad whim yesterday
First time out today absolutely loved it ,its smooth powerful and comfortable
I had more power in the battery when i returned than when i left!
Im a big fan of german engineering with this,a bmw motorcycle and a bautek hang glider !
Early days i know but all good so far
Disrespectful company toward it dealers…
Disrespectful company toward it dealers and customers. Massive, multi months delays in production terribly communicated through dealer network - most if it BS - who try to convince you not to cancel, to stick to your order. Price wise looks good value, but prepare for the worst. Unreliable .. I had to cancel my bike trip to the Alps that cost me dear. I advise everyone to go elsewhere
Cube Attain GLC
Bought after a lot of research, local bike shop had ordered one in so I could check the fit.
I wanted a road bike for 30 to 80 mile rides in hilly area , with hydraulic discs and mudguard filaments.
The bike is really comfortable on the 28c tyres it came with, fit is spot on and everything works well. The short saddle is pretty comfortable , although a little firm.
Size is a 56, which come up pretty small as I am only 5' 8".
Only fault was one brake lever wasn't at the same level on the bars as the other, bike shop fixed that.
Overall excellent bike, highly recommended.
Cube Hybrid E-Bikes
I ordered a Cube Tour 500 Pro Hybrid for myself and a Cube step through City 500 for my wife from our local bike shop. They had the City 500 in stock, but the Tour 500 Pro was subject to 8 weeks delivery. In the event the Tour 500 Pro arrived 4 weeks early !
Cube are having some supply problems at the moment due to heavy demand, as are most e-bike manufacturers, the underlying problem being the pandemic.
These bikes are brilliant, excellent quality, quiet and smooth running. Two free services per bike are also included in the deal. We are both pensioners returning to cycling, and as we live in a hilly area, these bikes have been a revelation. Every time we go out for a spin they put a smile on our faces.
Our thanks to 12Fifty Bikes of Frodsham for their excellent service.
Get one !
PS: These bikes are significantly heavier than ordinary bikes, even with the batteries removed. If you have a car mounted cycle carrier, you may need to upgrade it to take the extra weight.
Not reliable. Failed to deliver or notify.
I ordered a bike on March 1st. I was notified that delivery would take longer than usual and would be on May 6th. Given the Covid related production problems, I understood en agreed to wait. On May 4th I receive a message that the bike can't be delivered on time and now I have to wait until July. This is after two months of waiting and less than 2 days before agreed delivery date. The alternative is an additional two months of waiting....and who knows if they will deliver in July. Surely production problems surfaced earlier than 2 days before delivery date. So why did they not notify earlier? It seems they just don't care. This is just the attitude of: "Who cares, we have plenty of customers, so take it or leave it." I also read other reviews like this, so they have a structural problem. Be careful.....not reliable.
Unobtainable pieces, don't buy it!
Bicycle that broke the second time I got out. But that's not the problem, the fact that for a newbie, it takes 38 weeks to wait. So I can take the bike and throw it away.
Do not buy it, because the pieces then do not turn out.
Fraud
AVOID at all costs
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
Awful company to deal with, disappointment after disappointment.
They took EUR 5000 for a deposit on a STEREO HYBRID 140 HPC SLT 625 NYON, in Early August promised December as a late delivery 2021 because of CV19 adjustments.
This was lengthy but I was assured bike was worth it when it arrives well before Xmas, so no Autumn riding.
Its April no sign of it, repeated tails of no communication through the dealer, no tracking number no communication on where its at is it assembled, Suez blamed for a bike built in Germany going to Cyprus?
Lies and stories no facts, no real answers. Furthest thing possible from GERMAN RELIABILITY, you will get your custom colour spec Porsche GT3 RS out of Stutgart faster, then these people will deliver you a Bike with a battery.
They utterly disrespect their customers, contact forms on their websites go un answered. They delete Facebook posts on their page highlighting there non-response.
Your money is lost in the system, and they don't owe you any answers, shut up and wait.
THEY WILL NOT DELIVER YOUR BIKE ON TIME AND WILL NOT PROVIDE HONEST DETAILS ON ITS PROGRESS.
I now have found out they do not even sell spare parts on a breakdown, AVOID, AVoid, Avoid.
American Service standards much, much higher. You will wait forever in silence for a bike. Coz Covid, Suez, Lockdowns.. we cant communicate or build bikes.
Anyone with a cube Touring hybrid ONE…
Anyone with a cube Touring hybrid ONE 500 Trapeze Electrice Hybrid 2021?
What do you think about this electric bike for road/trail rides?
It's a bit hit and miss with Cube
It's a bit hit and miss with Cube. I bought a Nature 400 e-bike. The first thing I noticed was a grinding sensation coming through the pedals. I think it's in the rear hub but 99Bikes (sales) sent it to Bosch who says their engine is fine. The sensation is slowly getting worse. Paint chips all over and the rear wheel placement is a few ml to one side. The rubber charge port cover keeps dislodging and the battery cover keeps falling off. I had to use cardboard the sticky tape to hold it in place! Other than those issues it's not too bad. I like it in fact
They don’t sell spare parts
I bought a set of mud guards at £50 for my bike and a small part snapped after a fee months and they wont sell me the spare part or replace under warranty. This has left a sour taste in my mouth having to fork out another £50 when this may happen again in the future..
I really love the customer service.
Cube Bikes Customer service
Did ask Cube a couple of questions by email but no reaction to this day. I think it's been 6 or 8 weeks or so..
Nice bikes, fair pricing but the customer service is as bad as it can be!
Update 14-01-2021
Still no reaction on mu questions. And I got a paint crack in my €6500 2021 frame. The paint is really bad. Not a good job! 1 Star
Customer servis and bikes very bead
Happy customer, please read
Bought a Cube Aim Allroad 2021 model from Tredz around two weeks ago now. After purchasing, I came online and read many bad reviews about both Cube and Tredz so was very wary as this was one of the only 'good' bikes I could get hold of for my budget in the lockdown. Anyway, bike was delivered, absolutely quality. Tredz had set it up but well impressed with the bike from CUBE, quite light, forks are brilliant, excellent 27 speed smooth shifting gear system, had to order 16" frame as the only one left but ended up being perfect size. Beautiful slim top tube, tyres are fat, sturdy mudguards, brakes are solid. Only ONE issue I did have was the pedals, they were squeaking after 2 days of using so just saved time and went and bought some new ones, could of been fixed with oiling but it was important that I rode. Overall very happy, the bad reviews made me wary but didn't put me off completely as people have bad experiences with brands but even if I had, I wouldn't advise people never to use the brand again like most reviews here because not everyone has a bad experience plus it seems, more people come here to complain about bad experiences than do to praise good.
