They left the door handle broken on one…
They left the door handle broken on one of the buildings for 4 months and then of course somebody just walked in and robbed a bunch of units including mine. I'm not in the state. They asked me to come in and I can't. Then they sent me tiny photos, like thumbnails to see what was missing. Then I sent my mom there to take photos so I can file a police report. They wouldn't let her in even though I have called multiple times. So I had to pay $15 to get something notarized just so she could get in even though they let random people rob the place. Also the manager was gone for 4 days after this happened. It's like they really just don't care.
A bad experience !
I'm highly disappointed in the management team on El Centro in Oceania Oceanside ,Dawn came of to be friendly at first ,she seems to like helping the customers out by buying things that they might be selling well I approached her once and she took the merchandise and didn't even pay me for 2 weeks and I'm not quite sure what she even got then it has time rolled by we can kind of friends she let a customer stay there that totally destroyed the front place from the place pulled all the plants out it looks terrible and he buried pallets in front of the office she didn't do anything she let him stay there and it was like a bed and breakfast he had his girlfriend there for 5 days and they were told pics then there's another woman there that I guess is supplying her with drugs she told me last night as I was helping her unload some things customers left her a whole Warehouse full of merchandise and she wanted to distribute it to different stores as we were doing that she had told me that she wanted to stop doing the drugs and then the next morning she evicts me but yet the drug dealer gets to stay I'm appalled appalled she want me all the way so I wouldn't say anything she made a mistake by telling me that she drinks and does drugs I knew she drank but I didn't know she did drugs as well as being supplied by someone and one of the units that stays there at night and 129 b management might want to check into that a little further and give her a drug test as well she's she was worried about that she said she needed to get clean and there you did you just promoted her you just promoted a druggie and I'm pissed off that she evicted me and she had me doing little jobs for her so she can look good on her promotion so I would be cleaning all the stairs and I never got paid for any of it and she promised to pay me as well and then she gets rid of me just like that I think she needs to be fired I wouldn't let his fart run my place with a woman like that it's not professional at all and I will be speaking with corporate as well on this matter this took place February 1st 2023
Please DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH…
Please DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CUBESMART, if you can help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We been a long time customer of Cubesmart. Had taken several units. The recent experience left a very bad taste !!! We been on autopay with credit card. When we went to vacate one of the units, they had already taken the payments just 2 days ago and refused to give us a refund. The local unit manager refused to refund saying once payment is taken, NO REFUND!!! We called the customer service and talked to one Stephanie and she said they will take care of it and the Divisional Vice President will contact us. The District manager named Britney called after few days and said, according to their policy, they cannot refund once they take the money!!!! We called the customer service again and talked to one Mike and asked him to talk to some one above the district manager and he said the Divisional Vice president will be calling us within 24 to 48 hours. we have waited several days and called them back again and Britney the same District Manager called and said the same thing again instead of the Divisional Vice President.
It is a long story. Let me make it short. Each time we call the customer service to talk to the Divisional Vice President (the name they gave me is Ravinder Sethi), they gave us new case numbers and each time they will say he will call within 24 to 48 hours which NEVER HAPPENED!!!! What a customer service this Ravinder Sethi do!!!! I have over 10 people's name with different case numbers. Finally I called this morning again and talked to Sherine and asked her to let me talk to a supervisor about our situation. After a long hold she came back and said the supervisor talked to Ravinder Sethi and he said no refund and your case is closed and HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME!!!!!!!!
Let Cubesmart keep and get rich with a 73 year old and a handicapped wife's $308. May God Bless Ravinder Sethi for his decision with out even making a courtesy call !!!!!!!!
I put my thing in this storage thinking…
I put my thing in this storage thinking because it was climate control (AC) my things would be safe Smfh!!! Was I wrong they had Rodents that ate through my boxes and good thing I kept the plastic on my new Furniture I had to throw so much stuff away and the guy I spoke to about the situation was so nonchalant it made my blood boil no one has ever given me anything I have worked for everything I have and for this person ( I can’t say what I want)! To dismiss me like it’s nothing smh DO NOT PUT YOUR THINGS IN STORAGE HERE!!!!!
Fees, fees, and more fees
Fees, fees, fees, and more fees. Do not believe a single thing that is quoted to you. I have been the victim of bait and switch when reserving online. Magically the reservation price switches from the time you reserve it until the time you make the payment.
Want to make a payment onine via the app? There is a fee for that too.
Want to use your own lock? You can't. You MUST buy a lock from them.
Want to use your own insurance? You can, but you MUST jump through a lot of hoops to make it work, and even then the store claims to have never received the declarations document even though it was sent several times.
CubeSmart is a ripoff
CubeSmart is a ripoff. It raised my fee from $192.60 to $291.60 with little notice. I vacated ASAP. Do not rent space from CubeSmart
Stay away- Fair St Norwalk Cube Smart
The Fair St Norwalk, CT location is probably the worst run storage factory I’ve ever experienced. After years here, we have seen this location go down hill fast. No one is on location anymore. It smells like mold as soon as you enter as well as in each elevator and as on each floor. We have brought this up to management multiple times over the past months and get a response that they don’t notice it or it’s from a unit they can’t locate. That’s unacceptable. Offsite managers rarely answer the phone when you call and don’t return calls in a timely manner. There are only 2 carts on site for the entire building when there used be 5 or 6. Rent at this dirty, ill-managed facility continues to increase every year. Bottom line- stay away! Other companies are more professional, more secure, and better managed.
I had one late exit and now I'm…
I had one late exit and now I'm restricted access to office hours only.
I work m-f 8:30am-6pm which means i only have access on saturdays. I think that is a little harsh for 1 late exit. That was just the final straw. Worst overall storage experience ever that's why I've chosen to move out.
One way to improve cube smart storage ontario is get rid of tammy. She's rude and very unprofessional.
Although Ralph in Port St
Although Ralph in Port St. Lucie on U.S. 1 did not have any 10x20 units available, he wash extremely helpful in advising on the size unit I would need, and I anticipate of doing business with him in the near future.
Do NOT rent from this organization
Do NOT rent from this organization. Their tactic is to get you into the unit, load it with all your stuff, and then within 3 months substantially raise the unit rent, usually around a 45% increase. They know most people don't want to have to move all their stuff out so they get away with it. USE ANY OTHER STORAGE FACILITY!!
At the Broussard
At the Broussard, LA CubeSmart, Alen was efficient, knowledgeable, and personable. I visited four (4) storage companies before choosing this business and location today. Alen demonstrated the kind of management skills I value.
Definitely do not recommend
Definitely do not recommend. Their rates are higher that others in the area and they raise the rates 13-16% each year, and give less that a month for the rate increase. The poor site managers don't get raises but have to bare the brunt of customers' ire. Go any place else. This from a renter who is moving out. I've been a longtime customer but now new owners are taking advantage. Beware!!!
NO REFUND SENT
I have been waiting for a refund for almost 3 months!!! I had paid a year in advance, moved out in September and the district manager, Chris Rodgers, has told me many times that the "refund was approved and will be mailed shortly". Now he doesn't respond to emails and the manager has no clue what is going on. This is in Colorado Springs, CO at 140 Garden of the Gods Rd.
NEVER rent from these people, you'll lose your money, and they have no clue as to what customer service is
Price scam and utility scam
Raised the charges twicwe after I obtained the unit, original pricing is just a trap ALSO..the light fixture broke, I was told Cubesmart will not fix any lighting and I cannot nor can I have anyone fix it. District manager will not take your calls. Local manager threatened to throw me out if I asked again, Said you have to get a long term lease and a minimum montly elctricity bill in order for them to have the light fixture work.
Warning!!
Warning: do not move into CubeSmart units at 5321 Richmond Ave., Houston, TX. I was a long term customer. The staff is very nice but the owner of the building must not realize or doesn't care about conditions. They have 100's of units at the Richmond Ave. Cube Smart in Houston but they only have 2 carts which can never be found. I have been stuck in the elevator 3 times. The place is not clean. It's dark. Lights are broken. The AC doesn't work half the time. There are moths everywhere. I have complained several times especially about no carts. They always say "Oh the manager will be back tomorrow, or next week, or in two days... and the manager will call you." NO one ever followed up. I finally moved my belongings to a different storage company. The new place has at least 20 carts and everything at new place works.
hire competent employees
hire competent employees, cubesmart took over a storage facility in Riverview Florida, we had used this facility since 2013, and continuously from 2016, we left after the first week of the hurricane, they are a complete mess
Horrible !!!
Horrible !!!! How could you trust them with your credit card information and your valuables when they don’t respond to you on the front end. Avoid this place it’s a scam.
My motorcycle was stolen
My motorcycle was stolen, the facility did not contact me until weeks later, I am disgusted by their treatment. And their prices are way above average rates. They take advantage of their customers….
If you are looking for a place to store…
If you are looking for a place to store your items long term this is not the storage facility for you. I had 3 storage units with the previous owner. The previous owner never raised the rates for 6 years. Cubesmart bought them out and in two years we received rate increase notifications multiple time per year. We will be moving our items to another facility asap. Way over priced!
Warning: Your Stuff Isn't Safe at Cubesmart (and They Don't Care)!
Warning: don't assume your stuff is safe or protected at the Cubesmart facility in Bethpage, NY -- it's not! And don't assume the company will care or help if your stuff is damaged due to their failure to keep it safe.
I have been using this facility for nearly a year, paying extra for a climate controlled indoor unit because the person who sold me the unit promised my things would be safe and dry. So I was unpleasantly surprised to come in and find a giant puddle on top of one of my bins. My first hint was when I grabbed the bin, and water went everywhere. This meant hours of backbreaking work to try to move all the boxes around to see what was wet and what wasn't. I contacted the manager (phone service doesn't work inside so had to go all the way back downstairs), and asked for towels to dry things and for help resolving the issue. She came up to look at things, took some photos and then tried to make up excuses as to why there was a puddle (claimed that sometimes condensation causes things to "sweat" -- but we're not talking a few drops of water, we're talking a giant puddle that filled the top of a very large plastic bin from edge to edge!).
I asked her how they would protect and safeguard my stuff now since the unit obviously had a water leak of some kind. Her answer was that they would find another unit and I could move the entire contents of my unit up a floor (which would, of course, require me to hire someone to move it all). I explained that I did not think I should be paying movers to move my stuff to someplace safe, since I was already paying THEM to keep my stuff safe, which they failed to do. If I wanted my stuff kept someplace prone to water damage, I could have kept it in my own garage for free! So she said if I left my key, someone there could move my stuff to a dry unit. At this point, she left (taking the cleaning supplies with her without ever drying anything or leaving them for me to dry up the wet, slippery floor or wet bin!).
I left my key, and the next day, was told that they actually can't move my stuff but she still wanted to "help." Her idea of "help" was telling me I can call my insurance (which I pay for) to address the ruined items. But I would still have to pay someone to move all of the stuff, which is the far greater expense, and which I only have to do because the unit I've been paying top dollar for isn't water safe.
The ironic thing is that I'd brought my sister that day to rent a unit of her own, since I was referring her to them. Once she saw the leak, and their excuses to try to cover it up, and their unwillingness to do anything to fix it, she had no interest in renting there!
I had several more conversations about this in hopes of avoiding having to file a complaint, and they eventually offered me a couple of boxes to replace the wet ones (useless as the stuff is still in a unit that's known to have a water leakage problem) and finally said they would give me one month's free storage. However, since I have to pay to move everything (which costs far more than one month's storage fee), this doesn't compensate me for my losses. And since every other storage place offers one month free for new customers, it's actually cheaper to take my stuff to another, more reliable storage facility where I'll get one month free AND a much cheaper price.
But I'm still disappointed beyond words that they would sell me a storage unit with a leak, try to make excuses for their failure to protect my stuff, and then expect ME to hire movers to move my stuff to a unit without a leak because the first unit wasn't safe.
Find another company -- I learned the hard way that this one isn't reliable or honest, and if you have a problem, they will take no responsibility!
