Cubot 

I bought a King Kong Star on January first 2024. I was told that I would get a text message with my order #. After 3 days still nothing. I contacted a representative on their "live chat" asking for an update on my order. I received a reply 2 days later asking for my confirmation #. No Hello my name is John Smith, I am a customer representative for CUBOT. How can I help you today?. Simply a what's your order #, 2 days later. I said I didn't have one and provided them with a screenshot of my purchase confirmation from their website. I was told:" is this it 0000?" I replied well I can't say since I never got it but if you found it using my name I guess it is ?. CUBOT replied :" yeah we will send it on a few days". Waited 1 week, still no news on my order. Then finally, 4 days later I received an email with a tracking #. Waited 8 days to get the phone. At this point I had purchased the phone on January first and got the phone on January 25th. I bought the phone because of the camera, I took the phone out, took 3 pictures, camera is garbage, the zoom only goes to 4x, the quality is terrible. I like to take pictures of the wild squirrels I feed in my backyard and you can't even see any detail of a squirrel that was 20 feet away from me. I also like to listen to a Fireplace channel on YouTube before bed, the sound is terrible. The speakers are om the back of the phone and the crackling sounds of the fireplace sounded like it was muffled inside a box. Played with the phone for 10 minutes and put it back in the box. I contacted CUBOT for a return/refund. I informed them that the quality of the phone was not what was advertised on their website and I wanted a refund. They asked me what was the issue with the phone. I said there was no issue just the phone was of poor quality. They asked me if I could sell it back locally otherwise I would have to send it back to China. I said I wanted to send it back to China and get a refund. They replied that they would only refund the price of the phone and I had to pay the shipping. I said sure I will pay the shipping give me your address. They replied asking me if I was sure I wanted to return it.... I said yes I am sure, give me your address. Haven't heard anything back from them for 8 days now. They are totally refusing to refund me, delaying giving me their address to return it and now ignoring me.

My husband purchased the Cubot King Kong 7. He thought it was great so I purchased one too because the phone is advertised as waterproof, rugged and shock resistant.
Shortly after, my husband's King Kong 7 had screen issues and stopped working. Without question, they offered to send him a new screen which he had installed by a local cell phone vendor. While he was waiting for the new screen he purchased the Cubot 9.
Then, my Cubot 7 phone had the same screen problem. After filing complaints and sending them videos of the phone in operation they denied me a replacement screen.
They made all kinds of excuses. First they suggested that I wait until they open a store in Mexico (where I live) so that a technician could examine the phone. Of course they had no idea when they would open a store in Mexico.
Then they assured me that I needed to return my phone to China for examination because they were sure that replacing the screen wouldn't help. They actually suggested that I damaged this waterproof, rugged, shock resistant phone myself.
End of story - after 3 months they ceased communicating and I had to buy a new phone.
I imagine many people must be having this same screen issue. The phone is cheap! You get what you pay for - therefore, you pay twice. Terrible product. Terrible service! Don't buy this phone.

The experience was good, it provided me with opportunities to have a better insight to see the best cell phones, and today I discovered the Cubot, which I found very interesting. The company has good technology that surprises, with a great quality-price relationship.

I hv make payment but no update on order, I believe it's scam
